Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
- Je regardai, et voici, sur le ciel qui était au-dessus de la tête des chérubins, il y avait comme une pierre de saphir; on voyait au-dessus d'eux quelque chose de semblable à une forme de trône. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃δον καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐπάνω του̃ στερεώματος του̃ ὑπὲρ κεφαλη̃ς τω̃ν χερουβιν ὡς λίθος σαπφείρου ὁμοίωμα θρόνου ἐπ' αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Et vidi : et ecce in firmamento quod erat super caput cherubim, quasi lapis sapphirus, quasi species similitudinis solii, apparuit super ea. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃10 ואראה והנה אל הרקיע אשר על ראש הכרבים כאבן ספיר כמראה דמות כסא נראה עליהם (Ⅴ)

And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.
- Et l'Éternel dit à l'homme vêtu de lin: Va entre les roues sous les chérubins, remplis tes mains de charbons ardents que tu prendras entre les chérubins, et répands-les sur la ville! Et il y alla devant mes yeux. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς τὸν ἄνδρα τὸν ἐνδεδυκότα τὴν στολήν εἴσελθε εἰς τὸ μέσον τω̃ν τροχω̃ν τω̃ν ὑποκάτω τω̃ν χερουβιν καὶ πλη̃σον τὰς δράκας σου ἀνθράκων πυρὸς ἐκ μέσου τω̃ν χερουβιν καὶ διασκόρπισον ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν καὶ εἰση̃λθεν ἐνώπιόν μου (Ⅲ) - Et dixit ad virum qui indutus erat lineis, et ait : Ingredere in medio rotarum quæ sunt subtus cherubim, et imple manum tuam prunis ignis quæ sunt inter cherubim, et effunde super civitatem. Ingressusque est in conspectu meo. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃10 ויאמר אל האיש לבש הבדים ויאמר בא אל בינות לגלגל אל תחת לכרוב ומלא חפניך גחלי אש מבינות לכרבים וזרק על העיר ויבא לעיני (Ⅴ)

Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
- Les chérubins étaient à la droite de la maison, quand l'homme alla, et la nuée remplit le parvis intérieur. (Ⅱ) - καὶ τὰ χερουβιν εἱστήκει ἐκ δεξιω̃ν του̃ οἴκου ἐν τω̨̃ εἰσπορεύεσθαι τὸν ἄνδρα καὶ ἡ νεφέλη ἔπλησεν τὴν αὐλὴν τὴν ἐσωτέραν (Ⅲ) - Cherubim autem stabant a dextris domus cum ingrederetur vir, et nubes implevit atrium interius. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃10 והכרבים עמדים מימין לבית בבאו האיש והענן מלא את החצר הפנימית (Ⅴ)

Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD's glory.
- La gloire de l'Éternel s'éleva de dessus les chérubins, et se dirigea vers le seuil de la maison; la maison fut remplie de la nuée, et le parvis fut rempli de la splendeur de la gloire de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπη̃ρεν ἡ δόξα κυρίου ἀπὸ τω̃ν χερουβιν εἰς τὸ αἴθριον του̃ οἴκου καὶ ἔπλησεν τὸν οἰ̃κον ἡ νεφέλη καὶ ἡ αὐλὴ ἐπλήσθη του̃ φέγγους τη̃ς δόξης κυρίου (Ⅲ) - Et elevata est gloria Domini desuper cherub ad limen domus : et repleta est domus nube, et atrium repletum est splendore gloriæ Domini. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃10 וירם כבוד יהוה מעל הכרוב על מפתן הבית וימלא הבית את הענן והחצר מלאה את נגה כבוד יהוה (Ⅴ)

And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.
- Le bruit des ailes des chérubins se fit entendre jusqu'au parvis extérieur, pareil à la voix du Dieu tout puissant lorsqu'il parle. (Ⅱ) - καὶ φωνὴ τω̃ν πτερύγων τω̃ν χερουβιν ἠκούετο ἕως τη̃ς αὐλη̃ς τη̃ς ἐξωτέρας ὡς φωνὴ θεου̃ Σαδδαι λαλου̃ντος (Ⅲ) - Et sonitus alarum cherubim audiebatur usque ad atrium exterius, quasi vox Dei omnipotentis loquentis. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃10 וקול כנפי הכרובים נשמע עד החצר החיצנה כקול אל שדי בדברו (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.
- Ainsi l'Éternel donna cet ordre à l'homme vêtu de lin: Prends du feu entre les roues, entre les chérubins! Et cet homme alla se placer près des roues. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ ἐντέλλεσθαι αὐτὸν τω̨̃ ἀνδρὶ τω̨̃ ἐνδεδυκότι τὴν στολὴν τὴν ἁγίαν λέγων λαβὲ πυ̃ρ ἐκ μέσου τω̃ν τροχω̃ν ἐκ μέσου τω̃ν χερουβιν καὶ εἰση̃λθεν καὶ ἔστη ἐχόμενος τω̃ν τροχω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Cumque præcepisset viro qui indutus erat lineis, dicens : Sume ignem de medio rotarum quæ sunt inter cherubim : ingressus ille stetit juxta rotam. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃10 ויהי בצותו את האיש לבש הבדים לאמר קח אש מבינות לגלגל מבינות לכרובים ויבא ויעמד אצל האופן (Ⅴ)

And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.
- Alors un chérubin étendit la main entre les chérubins vers le feu qui était entre les chérubins; il en prit, et le mit dans les mains de l'homme vêtu de lin. Et cet homme le prit, et sortit. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξέτεινεν τὴν χει̃ρα αὐτου̃ εἰς μέσον του̃ πυρὸς του̃ ὄντος ἐν μέσω̨ τω̃ν χερουβιν καὶ ἔλαβεν καὶ ἔδωκεν εἰς τὰς χει̃ρας του̃ ἐνδεδυκότος τὴν στολὴν τὴν ἁγίαν καὶ ἔλαβεν καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν (Ⅲ) - Et extendit cherub manum de medio cherubim ad ignem qui erat inter cherubim, et sumpsit, et dedit in manus ejus qui indutus erat lineis : qui accipiens egressus est. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃10 וישלח הכרוב את ידו מבינות לכרובים אל האש אשר בינות הכרבים וישא ויתן אל חפני לבש הבדים ויקח ויצא (Ⅴ)

And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's hand under their wings.
- On voyait aux chérubins une forme de main d'homme sous leurs ailes. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃δον τὰ χερουβιν ὁμοίωμα χειρω̃ν ἀνθρώπων ὑποκάτωθεν τω̃ν πτερύγων αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Et apparuit in cherubim similitudo manus hominis subtus pennas eorum.\ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃10 וירא לכרבים תבנית יד אדם תחת כנפיהם (Ⅴ)

And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone.
- Je regardai, et voici, il y avait quatre roues près des chérubins, une roue près de chaque chérubin; et ces roues avaient l'aspect d'une pierre de chrysolithe. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃δον καὶ ἰδοὺ τροχοὶ τέσσαρες εἱστήκεισαν ἐχόμενοι τω̃ν χερουβιν τροχὸς εἱ̃ς ἐχόμενος χερουβ ἑνός καὶ ἡ ὄψις τω̃ν τροχω̃ν ὡς ὄψις λίθου ἄνθρακος (Ⅲ) - Et vidi : et ecce quatuor rotæ juxta cherubim : rota una juxta cherub unum, et rota alia juxta cherub unum : species autem rotarum erat quasi visio lapidis chrysolithi : (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃10 ואראה והנה ארבעה אופנים אצל הכרובים אופן אחד אצל הכרוב אחד ואופן אחד אצל הכרוב אחד ומראה האופנים כעין אבן תרשיש (Ⅴ)

And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.
- A leur aspect, toutes les quatre avaient la même forme; chaque roue paraissait être au milieu d'une autre roue. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἡ ὄψις αὐτω̃ν ὁμοίωμα ἓν τοι̃ς τέσσαρσιν ὃν τρόπον ὅταν ἠ̨̃ τροχὸς ἐν μέσω̨ τροχου̃ (Ⅲ) - et aspectus earum similitudo una quatuor, quasi sit rota in medio rotæ. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃10 ומראיהם דמות אחד לארבעתם כאשר יהיה האופן בתוך האופן (Ⅴ)

When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.
- En cheminant, elles allaient de leurs quatre côtés, et elles ne se tournaient point dans leur marche; mais elles allaient dans la direction de la tête, sans se tourner dans leur marche. (Ⅱ) - ἐν τω̨̃ πορεύεσθαι αὐτὰ εἰς τὰ τέσσαρα μέρη αὐτω̃ν ἐπορεύοντο οὐκ ἐπέστρεφον ἐν τω̨̃ πορεύεσθαι αὐτά ὅτι εἰς ὃν ἂν τόπον ἐπέβλεψεν ἡ ἀρχὴ ἡ μία ἐπορεύοντο καὶ οὐκ ἐπέστρεφον ἐν τω̨̃ πορεύεσθαι αὐτά (Ⅲ) - Cumque ambularent, in quatuor partes gradiebantur, et non revertebantur ambulantes : sed ad locum ad quem ire declinabat quæ prima erat, sequebantur et ceteræ, nec convertebantur. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃10 בלכתם אל ארבעת רבעיהם ילכו לא יסבו בלכתם כי המקום אשר יפנה הראש אחריו ילכו לא יסבו בלכתם (Ⅴ)

And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.
- Tout le corps des chérubins, leur dos, leurs mains, et leurs ailes, étaient remplis d'yeux, aussi bien que les roues tout autour, les quatre roues. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οἱ νω̃τοι αὐτω̃ν καὶ αἱ χει̃ρες αὐτω̃ν καὶ αἱ πτέρυγες αὐτω̃ν καὶ οἱ τροχοὶ πλήρεις ὀφθαλμω̃ν κυκλόθεν τοι̃ς τέσσαρσιν τροχοι̃ς αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Et omne corpus earum, et colla, et manus, et pennæ, et circuli, plena erant oculis in circuitu quatuor rotarum. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃10 וכל בשרם וגבהם וידיהם וכנפיהם והאופנים מלאים עינים סביב לארבעתם אופניהם (Ⅴ)

As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O wheel.
- J'entendis qu'on appelait les roues tourbillon. (Ⅱ) - τοι̃ς δὲ τροχοι̃ς τούτοις ἐπεκλήθη Γελγελ ἀκούοντός μου (Ⅲ) - Et rotas istas vocavit volubiles, audiente me. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃10 לאופנים להם קורא הגלגל באזני (Ⅴ)

And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
- Chacun avait quatre faces; la face du premier était une face de chérubin, la face du second une face d'homme, celle du troisième une face de lion, et celle du quatrième une face d'aigle. (Ⅱ) - Quatuor autem facies habebat unum : facies una, facies cherub, et facies secunda, facies hominis : et in tertio facies leonis, et in quarto facies aquilæ. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃10 וארבעה פנים לאחד פני האחד פני הכרוב ופני השני פני אדם והשלישי פני אריה והרביעי פני נשר (Ⅴ)

And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.
- Et les chérubins s'élevèrent. C'étaient les animaux que j'avais vus près du fleuve du Kebar. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠ̃ραν τὰ χερουβιν του̃το τὸ ζω̨̃ον ὃ εἰ̃δον ἐπὶ του̃ ποταμου̃ του̃ Χοβαρ (Ⅲ) - Et elevata sunt cherubim : ipsum est animal quod videram juxta fluvium Chobar. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃10 וירמו הכרובים היא החיה אשר ראיתי בנהר כבר (Ⅴ)

And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.
- Quand les chérubins marchaient, les roues cheminaient à côté d'eux; et quand les chérubins déployaient leurs ailes pour s'élever de terre, les roues aussi ne se détournaient point d'eux. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ πορεύεσθαι τὰ χερουβιν ἐπορεύοντο οἱ τροχοί καὶ οὑ̃τοι ἐχόμενοι αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ ἐξαίρειν τὰ χερουβιν τὰς πτέρυγας αὐτω̃ν του̃ μετεωρίζεσθαι ἀπὸ τη̃ς γη̃ς οὐκ ἐπέστρεφον οἱ τροχοὶ αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Cumque ambularent cherubim, ibant pariter et rotæ juxta ea : et cum elevarent cherubim alas suas ut exaltarentur de terra, non residebant rotæ, sed et ipsæ juxta erant. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃10 ובלכת הכרובים ילכו האופנים אצלם ובשאת הכרובים את כנפיהם לרום מעל הארץ לא יסבו האופנים גם הם מאצלם (Ⅴ)

When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.
- Quand ils s'arrêtaient, elles s'arrêtaient, et quand ils s'élevaient, elles s'élevaient avec eux, car l'esprit des animaux était en elles. (Ⅱ) - ἐν τω̨̃ ἑστάναι αὐτὰ εἱστήκεισαν καὶ ἐν τω̨̃ μετεωρίζεσθαι αὐτὰ ἐμετεωρίζοντο μετ' αὐτω̃ν διότι πνευ̃μα ζωη̃ς ἐν αὐτοι̃ς ἠ̃ν (Ⅲ) - Stantibus illis stabant, et cum elevatis elevabantur : spiritus enim vitæ erat in eis.\ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃10 בעמדם יעמדו וברומם ירומו אותם כי רוח החיה בהם (Ⅴ)

Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.
- La gloire de l'Éternel se retira du seuil de la maison, et se plaça sur les chérubins. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξη̃λθεν δόξα κυρίου ἀπὸ του̃ οἴκου καὶ ἐπέβη ἐπὶ τὰ χερουβιν (Ⅲ) - Et egressa est gloria Domini a limine templi, et stetit super cherubim. (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃10 ויצא כבוד יהוה מעל מפתן הבית ויעמד על הכרובים (Ⅴ)

And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD's house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
- Les chérubins déployèrent leurs ailes, et s'élevèrent de terre sous mes yeux quand ils partirent, accompagnés des roues. Ils s'arrêtèrent à l'entrée de la porte de la maison de l'Éternel vers l'orient; et la gloire du Dieu d'Israël était sur eux, en haut. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀνέλαβον τὰ χερουβιν τὰς πτέρυγας αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐμετεωρίσθησαν ἀπὸ τη̃ς γη̃ς ἐνώπιον ἐμου̃ ἐν τω̨̃ ἐξελθει̃ν αὐτὰ καὶ οἱ τροχοὶ ἐχόμενοι αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἔστησαν ἐπὶ τὰ πρόθυρα τη̃ς πύλης οἴκου κυρίου τη̃ς ἀπέναντι καὶ δόξα θεου̃ Ισραηλ ἠ̃ν ἐπ' αὐτω̃ν ὑπεράνω (Ⅲ) - Et elevantia cherubim alas suas, exaltata sunt a terra coram me : et illis egredientibus, rotæ quoque subsecutæ sunt : et stetit in introitu portæ domus Domini orientalis, et gloria Dei Israël erat super ea. (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃10 וישאו הכרובים את כנפיהם וירומו מן הארץ לעיני בצאתם והאופנים לעמתם ויעמד פתח שער בית יהוה הקדמוני וכבוד אלהי ישראל עליהם מלמעלה (Ⅴ)

This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims.
- C'étaient les animaux que j'avais vus sous le Dieu d'Israël près du fleuve du Kebar, et je reconnus que c'étaient des chérubins. (Ⅱ) - του̃το τὸ ζω̨̃όν ἐστιν ὃ εἰ̃δον ὑποκάτω θεου̃ Ισραηλ ἐπὶ του̃ ποταμου̃ του̃ Χοβαρ καὶ ἔγνων ὅτι χερουβιν ἐστίν (Ⅲ) - Ipsum est animal quod vidi subter Deum Israël juxta fluvium Chobar, et intellexi quia cherubim essent. (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃10 היא החיה אשר ראיתי תחת אלהי ישראל בנהר כבר ואדע כי כרובים המה (Ⅴ)

Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
- Chacun avait quatre faces, chacun avait quatre ailes, et une forme de main d'homme était sous leurs ailes. (Ⅱ) - τέσσαρα πρόσωπα τω̨̃ ἑνί καὶ ὀκτὼ πτέρυγες τω̨̃ ἑνί καὶ ὁμοίωμα χειρω̃ν ἀνθρώπου ὑποκάτωθεν τω̃ν πτερύγων αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Quatuor vultus uni, et quatuor alæ uni : et similitudo manus hominis sub alis eorum. (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃10 ארבעה ארבעה פנים לאחד וארבע כנפים לאחד ודמות ידי אדם תחת כנפיהם (Ⅴ)

And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.
- Leurs faces étaient semblables à celles que j'avais vues près du fleuve du Kebar; c'était le même aspect, c'était eux-mêmes. Chacun marchait droit devant soi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὁμοίωσις τω̃ν προσώπων αὐτω̃ν ταυ̃τα τὰ πρόσωπά ἐστιν ἃ εἰ̃δον ὑποκάτω τη̃ς δόξης θεου̃ Ισραηλ ἐπὶ του̃ ποταμου̃ του̃ Χοβαρ καὶ αὐτὰ ἕκαστον κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτω̃ν ἐπορεύοντο (Ⅲ) - Et similitudo vultuum eorum, ipsi vultus quos videram juxta fluvium Chobar, et intuitus eorum, et impetus singulorum ante faciem suam ingredi. (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃10 ודמות פניהם המה הפנים אשר ראיתי על נהר כבר מראיהם ואותם איש אל עבר פניו ילכו (Ⅴ)
