Canticum graduum. [Sæpe expugnaverunt me a juventute mea,/ dicat nunc Israël ;/
- Cantique des degrés. Ils m'ont assez opprimé dès ma jeunesse, Qu'Israël le dise! (Ⅱ) - Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say: (Ⅲ) - ὠ̨δὴ τω̃ν ἀναβαθμω̃ν πλεονάκις ἐπολέμησάν με ἐκ νεότητός μου εἰπάτω δὴ Ισραηλ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃129 שיר המעלות רבת צררוני מנעורי יאמר נא ישראל (Ⅴ)

sæpe expugnaverunt me a juventute mea :/ etenim non potuerunt mihi./
- Ils m'ont assez opprimé dès ma jeunesse, Mais ils ne m'ont pas vaincu. (Ⅱ) - Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me. (Ⅲ) - πλεονάκις ἐπολέμησάν με ἐκ νεότητός μου καὶ γὰρ οὐκ ἠδυνήθησάν μοι (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃129 רבת צררוני מנעורי גם לא יכלו לי (Ⅴ)

Supra dorsum meum fabricaverunt peccatores ;/ prolongaverunt iniquitatem suam./
- Des laboureurs ont labouré mon dos, Ils y ont tracé de longs sillons. (Ⅱ) - The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows. (Ⅲ) - ἐπὶ του̃ νώτου μου ἐτέκταινον οἱ ἁμαρτωλοί ἐμάκρυναν τὴν ἀνομίαν αὐτω̃ν (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃129 על גבי חרשו חרשים האריכו *למענותם **למעניתם (Ⅴ)

Dominus justus/ concidit cervices peccatorum./
- L'Éternel est juste: Il a coupé les cordes des méchants. (Ⅱ) - The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked. (Ⅲ) - κύριος δίκαιος συνέκοψεν αὐχένας ἁμαρτωλω̃ν (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃129 יהוה צדיק קצץ עבות רשעים (Ⅴ)

Confundantur, et convertantur retrorsum/ omnes qui oderunt Sion./
- Qu'ils soient confondus et qu'ils reculent, Tous ceux qui haïssent Sion! (Ⅱ) - Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. (Ⅲ) - αἰσχυνθήτωσαν καὶ ἀποστραφήτωσαν εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω πάντες οἱ μισου̃ντες Σιων (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃129 יבשו ויסגו אחור כל שנאי ציון (Ⅴ)

Fiant sicut fœnum tectorum,/ quod priusquam evellatur exaruit :/
- Qu'ils soient comme l'herbe des toits, Qui sèche avant qu'on l'arrache! (Ⅱ) - Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up: (Ⅲ) - γενηθήτωσαν ὡς χόρτος δωμάτων ὃς πρὸ του̃ ἐκσπασθη̃ναι ἐξηράνθη (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃129 יהיו כחציר גגות שקדמת שלף יבש (Ⅴ)

de quo non implevit manum suam qui metit,/ et sinum suum qui manipulos colligit./
- Le moissonneur n'en remplit point sa main, Celui qui lie les gerbes n'en charge point son bras, (Ⅱ) - Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom. (Ⅲ) - οὑ̃ οὐκ ἐπλήρωσεν τὴν χει̃ρα αὐτου̃ ὁ θερίζων καὶ τὸν κόλπον αὐτου̃ ὁ τὰ δράγματα συλλέγων (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃129 שלא מלא כפו קוצר וחצנו מעמר (Ⅴ)

Et non dixerunt qui præteribant :/ Benedictio Domini super vos./ Benediximus vobis in nomine Domini.]
- Et les passants ne disent point: Que la bénédiction de l'Éternel soit sur vous! Nous vous bénissons au nom de l'Éternel! (Ⅱ) - Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD. (Ⅲ) - καὶ οὐκ εἰ̃παν οἱ παράγοντες εὐλογία κυρίου ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς εὐλογήκαμεν ὑμα̃ς ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃129 ולא אמרו העברים ברכת יהוה אליכם ברכנו אתכם בשם יהוה (Ⅴ)
