If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
- S'il s'élève au milieu de toi un prophète ou un songeur qui t'annonce un signe ou un prodige, (Ⅱ) - ἐὰν δὲ ἀναστη̨̃ ἐν σοὶ προφήτης ἢ ἐνυπνιαζόμενος ἐνύπνιον καὶ δω̨̃ σοι σημει̃ον ἢ τέρας (Ⅲ) - Si surrexerit in medio tui prophetes, aut qui somnium vidisse se dicat, et prædixerit signum atque portentum, (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃13 כי יקום בקרבך נביא או חלם חלום ונתן אליך אות או מופת (Ⅴ)

And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
- et qu'il y ait accomplissement du signe ou du prodige dont il t'a parlé en disant: Allons après d'autres dieux, -des dieux que tu ne connais point, -et servons-les! (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔλθη̨ τὸ σημει̃ον ἢ τὸ τέρας ὃ ἐλάλησεν πρὸς σὲ λέγων πορευθω̃μεν καὶ λατρεύσωμεν θεοι̃ς ἑτέροις οὓς οὐκ οἴδατε (Ⅲ) - et evenerit quod locutus est, et dixerit tibi : Eamus, et sequamur deos alienos quos ignoras, et serviamus eis : (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃13 ובא האות והמופת אשר דבר אליך לאמר נלכה אחרי אלהים אחרים אשר לא ידעתם ונעבדם (Ⅴ)

Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
- tu n'écouteras pas les paroles de ce prophète ou de ce songeur, car c'est l'Éternel, votre Dieu, qui vous met à l'épreuve pour savoir si vous aimez l'Éternel, votre Dieu, de tout votre coeur et de toute votre âme. (Ⅱ) - οὐκ ἀκούσεσθε τω̃ν λόγων του̃ προφήτου ἐκείνου ἢ του̃ ἐνυπνιαζομένου τὸ ἐνύπνιον ἐκει̃νο ὅτι πειράζει κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμα̃ς εἰδέναι εἰ ἀγαπα̃τε κύριον τὸν θεὸν ὑμω̃ν ἐξ ὅλης τη̃ς καρδίας ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τη̃ς ψυχη̃ς ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - non audies verba prophetæ illius aut somniatoris : quia tentat vos Dominus Deus vester, ut palam fiat utrum diligatis eum an non, in toto corde, et in tota anima vestra. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃13 לא תשמע אל דברי הנביא ההוא או אל חולם החלום ההוא כי מנסה יהוה אלהיכם אתכם לדעת הישכם אהבים את יהוה אלהיכם בכל לבבכם ובכל נפשכם (Ⅴ)

Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
- Vous irez après l'Éternel, votre Dieu, et vous le craindrez; vous observerez ses commandements, vous obéirez à sa voix, vous le servirez, et vous vous attacherez à lui. (Ⅱ) - ὀπίσω κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ὑμω̃ν πορεύεσθε καὶ αὐτὸν φοβηθήσεσθε καὶ τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτου̃ φυλάξεσθε καὶ τη̃ς φωνη̃ς αὐτου̃ ἀκούσεσθε καὶ αὐτω̨̃ προστεθήσεσθε (Ⅲ) - Dominum Deum vestrum sequimini, et ipsum timete, et mandata illius custodite, et audite vocem ejus : ipsi servietis, et ipsi adhærebitis. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃13 אחרי יהוה אלהיכם תלכו ואתו תיראו ואת מצותיו תשמרו ובקלו תשמעו ואתו תעבדו ובו תדבקון (Ⅴ)

And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
- Ce prophète ou ce songeur sera puni de mort, car il a parlé de révolte contre l'Éternel, votre Dieu, qui vous a fait sortir du pays d'Égypte et vous a délivrés de la maison de servitude, et il a voulu te détourner de la voie dans laquelle l'Éternel, ton Dieu, t'a ordonné de marcher. Tu ôteras ainsi le mal du milieu de toi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὁ προφήτης ἐκει̃νος ἢ ὁ τὸ ἐνύπνιον ἐνυπνιαζόμενος ἐκει̃νος ἀποθανει̃ται ἐλάλησεν γὰρ πλανη̃σαί σε ἀπὸ κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου του̃ ἐξαγαγόντος σε ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου του̃ λυτρωσαμένου σε ἐκ τη̃ς δουλείας ἐξω̃σαί σε ἐκ τη̃ς ὁδου̃ ἡ̃ς ἐνετείλατό σοι κύριος ὁ θεός σου πορεύεσθαι ἐν αὐτη̨̃ καὶ ἀφανιει̃ς τὸν πονηρὸν ἐξ ὑμω̃ν αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Propheta autem ille aut fictor somniorum interficietur : quia locutus est ut vos averteret a Domino Deo vestro, qui eduxit vos de terra Ægypti, et redemit vos de domo servitutis : ut errare te faceret de via, quam tibi præcepit Dominus Deus tuus : et auferes malum de medio tui. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃13 והנביא ההוא או חלם החלום ההוא יומת כי דבר סרה על יהוה אלהיכם המוציא אתכם מארץ מצרים והפדך מבית עבדים להדיחך מן הדרך אשר צוך יהוה אלהיך ללכת בה ובערת הרע מקרבך (Ⅴ)

If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
- Si ton frère, fils de ta mère, ou ton fils, ou ta fille, ou la femme qui repose sur ton sein, ou ton ami que tu aimes comme toi-même, t'incite secrètement en disant: Allons, et servons d'autres dieux! -des dieux que ni toi ni tes pères n'avez connus, (Ⅱ) - ἐὰν δὲ παρακαλέση̨ σε ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐκ πατρός σου ἢ ἐκ μητρός σου ἢ ὁ υἱός σου ἢ ἡ θυγάτηρ σου ἢ ἡ γυνὴ ἡ ἐν κόλπω̨ σου ἢ ὁ φίλος ὁ ἴσος τη̃ς ψυχη̃ς σου λάθρα̨ λέγων βαδίσωμεν καὶ λατρεύσωμεν θεοι̃ς ἑτέροις οὓς οὐκ ἤ̨δεις σὺ καὶ οἱ πατέρες σου (Ⅲ) - Si tibi voluerit persuadere frater tuus filius matris tuæ, aut filius tuus vel filia, sive uxor quæ est in sinu tuo, aut amicus, quem diligis ut animam tuam, clam dicens : Eamus, et serviamus diis alienis, quos ignoras tu, et patres tui, (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃13 כי יסיתך אחיך בן אמך או בנך או בתך או אשת חיקך או רעך אשר כנפשך בסתר לאמר נלכה ונעבדה אלהים אחרים אשר לא ידעת אתה ואבתיך (Ⅴ)

Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
- d'entre les dieux des peuples qui vous entourent, près de toi ou loin de toi, d'une extrémité de la terre à l'autre- (Ⅱ) - ἀπὸ τω̃ν θεω̃ν τω̃ν ἐθνω̃ν τω̃ν περικύκλω̨ ὑμω̃ν τω̃ν ἐγγιζόντων σοι ἢ τω̃ν μακρὰν ἀπὸ σου̃ ἀπ' ἄκρου τη̃ς γη̃ς ἕως ἄκρου τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅲ) - cunctarum in circuitu gentium, quæ juxta vel procul sunt, ab initio usque ad finem terræ, (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃13 מאלהי העמים אשר סביבתיכם הקרבים אליך או הרחקים ממך מקצה הארץ ועד קצה הארץ (Ⅴ)

Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
- tu n'y consentiras pas, et tu ne l'écouteras pas; tu ne jetteras pas sur lui un regard de pitié, tu ne l'épargneras pas, et tu ne le couvriras pas. (Ⅱ) - οὐ συνθελήσεις αὐτω̨̃ καὶ οὐκ εἰσακούση̨ αὐτου̃ καὶ οὐ φείσεται ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου ἐπ' αὐτω̨̃ οὐκ ἐπιποθήσεις ἐπ' αὐτω̨̃ οὐδ' οὐ μὴ σκεπάση̨ς αὐτόν (Ⅲ) - non acquiescas ei, nec audias, neque parcat ei oculus tuus ut miserearis et occultes eum, (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃13 לא תאבה לו ולא תשמע אליו ולא תחוס עינך עליו ולא תחמל ולא תכסה עליו (Ⅴ)

But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
- Mais tu le feras mourir; ta main se lèvera la première sur lui pour le mettre à mort, et la main de tout le peuple ensuite; (Ⅱ) - ἀναγγέλλων ἀναγγελει̃ς περὶ αὐτου̃ αἱ χει̃ρές σου ἔσονται ἐπ' αὐτὸν ἐν πρώτοις ἀποκτει̃ναι αὐτόν καὶ αἱ χει̃ρες παντὸς του̃ λαου̃ ἐπ' ἐσχάτω̨ (Ⅲ) - sed statim interficies : sit primum manus tua super eum, et postea omnis populus mittat manum. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃13 כי הרג תהרגנו ידך תהיה בו בראשונה להמיתו ויד כל העם באחרנה (Ⅴ)

And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
- tu le lapideras, et il mourra, parce qu'il a cherché à te détourner de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, qui t'a fait sortir du pays d'Égypte, de la maison de servitude. (Ⅱ) - καὶ λιθοβολήσουσιν αὐτὸν ἐν λίθοις καὶ ἀποθανει̃ται ὅτι ἐζήτησεν ἀποστη̃σαί σε ἀπὸ κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου του̃ ἐξαγαγόντος σε ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου ἐξ οἴκου δουλείας (Ⅲ) - Lapidibus obrutus necabitur : quia voluit te abstrahere a Domino Deo tuo, qui eduxit te de terra Ægypti, de domo servitutis : (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃13 וסקלתו באבנים ומת כי בקש להדיחך מעל יהוה אלהיך המוציאך מארץ מצרים מבית עבדים (Ⅴ)

And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.
- Il en sera ainsi, afin que tout Israël entende et craigne, et que l'on ne commette plus un acte aussi criminel au milieu de toi. (Ⅱ) - καὶ πα̃ς Ισραηλ ἀκούσας φοβηθήσεται καὶ οὐ προσθήσουσιν ἔτι ποιη̃σαι κατὰ τὸ ῥη̃μα τὸ πονηρὸν του̃το ἐν ὑμι̃ν (Ⅲ) - ut omnis Israël audiens timeat, et nequaquam ultra faciat quippiam hujus rei simile.\ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃13 וכל ישראל ישמעו ויראון ולא יוספו לעשות כדבר הרע הזה בקרבך ס (Ⅴ)

If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,
- Si tu entends dire au sujet de l'une des villes que t'a données pour demeure l'Éternel, ton Dieu: (Ⅱ) - ἐὰν δὲ ἀκούση̨ς ἐν μια̨̃ τω̃ν πόλεών σου ὡ̃ν κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι κατοικει̃ν σε ἐκει̃ λεγόντων (Ⅲ) - Si audieris in una urbium tuarum, quas Dominus Deus tuus dabit tibi ad habitandum, dicentes aliquos : (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃13 כי תשמע באחת עריך אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך לשבת שם לאמר (Ⅴ)

Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
- Des gens pervers sont sortis du milieu de toi, et ont séduit les habitants de leur ville en disant: Allons, et servons d'autres dieux! des dieux que tu ne connais point (Ⅱ) - ἐξήλθοσαν ἄνδρες παράνομοι ἐξ ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἀπέστησαν πάντας τοὺς κατοικου̃ντας τὴν πόλιν αὐτω̃ν λέγοντες πορευθω̃μεν καὶ λατρεύσωμεν θεοι̃ς ἑτέροις οὓς οὐκ ἤ̨δειτε (Ⅲ) - Egressi sunt filii Belial de medio tui, et averterunt habitatores urbis suæ, atque dixerunt : Eamus, et serviamus diis alienis quos ignoratis : (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃13 יצאו אנשים בני בליעל מקרבך וידיחו את ישבי עירם לאמר נלכה ונעבדה אלהים אחרים אשר לא ידעתם (Ⅴ)

Then shalt thou inquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;
- tu feras des recherches, tu examineras, tu interrogeras avec soin. La chose est-elle vraie, le fait est-il établi, cette abomination a-t-elle été commise au milieu de toi, (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐρωτήσεις καὶ ἐραυνήσεις σφόδρα καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀληθὴς σαφω̃ς ὁ λόγος γεγένηται τὸ βδέλυγμα του̃το ἐν ὑμι̃ν (Ⅲ) - quære sollicite et diligenter, rei veritate perspecta, si inveneris certum esse quod dicitur, et abominationem hanc opere perpetratam, (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃13 ודרשת וחקרת[U] ושאלת היטב והנה אמת נכון הדבר נעשתה התועבה הזאת בקרבך (Ⅴ)

Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.
- alors tu frapperas du tranchant de l'épée les habitants de cette ville, tu la dévoueras par interdit avec tout ce qui s'y trouvera, et tu en passeras le bétail au fil de l'épée. (Ⅱ) - ἀναιρω̃ν ἀνελει̃ς πάντας τοὺς κατοικου̃ντας ἐν τη̨̃ πόλει ἐκείνη̨ ἐν φόνω̨ μαχαίρας ἀναθέματι ἀναθεματιει̃τε αὐτὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅲ) - statim percuties habitatores urbis illius in ore gladii, et delebis eam ac omnia quæ in illa sunt, usque ad pecora. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃13 הכה תכה את ישבי העיר *ההוא **ההיא לפי חרב החרם אתה ואת כל אשר בה ואת בהמתה לפי חרב (Ⅴ)

And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.
- Tu amasseras tout le butin au milieu de la place, et tu brûleras entièrement au feu la ville avec tout son butin, devant l'Éternel, ton Dieu: elle sera pour toujours un monceau de ruines, elle ne sera jamais rebâtie. (Ⅱ) - καὶ πάντα τὰ σκυ̃λα αὐτη̃ς συνάξεις εἰς τὰς διόδους αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἐμπρήσεις τὴν πόλιν ἐν πυρὶ καὶ πάντα τὰ σκυ̃λα αὐτη̃ς πανδημεὶ ἐναντίον κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου καὶ ἔσται ἀοίκητος εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να οὐκ ἀνοικοδομηθήσεται ἔτι (Ⅲ) - Quidquid etiam supellectilis fuerit, congregabis in medio platearum ejus, et cum ipsa civitate succendes, ita ut universa consumas Domino Deo tuo, et sit tumulus sempiternus. Non ædificabitur amplius, (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃13 ואת כל שללה תקבץ אל תוך רחבה ושרפת באש את העיר ואת כל שללה כליל ליהוה אלהיך והיתה תל עולם לא תבנה עוד (Ⅴ)

And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and show thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;
- Rien de ce qui sera dévoué par interdit ne s'attachera à ta main, afin que l'Éternel revienne de l'ardeur de sa colère, qu'il te fasse miséricorde et grâce, et qu'il te multiplie, comme il l'a juré à tes pères, (Ⅱ) - οὐ προσκολληθήσεται ἐν τη̨̃ χειρί σου οὐδὲν ἀπὸ του̃ ἀναθέματος ἵνα ἀποστραφη̨̃ κύριος ἀπὸ θυμου̃ τη̃ς ὀργη̃ς αὐτου̃ καὶ δώσει σοι ἔλεος καὶ ἐλεήσει σε καὶ πληθυνει̃ σε ὃν τρόπον ὤμοσεν κύριος τοι̃ς πατράσιν σου (Ⅲ) - et non adhærebit de illo anathemate quidquam in manu tua : ut avertatur Dominus ab ira furoris sui, et misereatur tui, multiplicetque te sicut juravit patribus tuis, (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃13 ולא ידבק בידך מאומה מן החרם למען ישוב יהוה מחרון אפו ונתן לך רחמים ורחמך והרבך כאשר נשבע לאבתיך (Ⅴ)

When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.
- si tu obéis à la voix de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, en observant tous ses commandements que je te prescris aujourd'hui, et en faisant ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Éternel, ton Dieu. (Ⅱ) - ἐὰν ἀκούση̨ς τη̃ς φωνη̃ς κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου φυλάσσειν πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτου̃ ὅσας ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον ποιει̃ν τὸ καλὸν καὶ τὸ ἀρεστὸν ἐναντίον κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ σου (Ⅲ) - quando audieris vocem Domini Dei tui custodiens omnia præcepta ejus, quæ ego præcipio tibi hodie, ut facias quod placitum est in conspectu Domini Dei tui. (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃13 כי תשמע בקול יהוה אלהיך לשמר את כל מצותיו אשר אנכי מצוך היום לעשות הישר בעיני יהוה אלהיך ס (Ⅴ)
