He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off.
- On monte au temple et à Dibon, Sur les hauts lieux, pour pleurer; Moab est en lamentations, sur Nebo et sur Médeba: Toutes les têtes sont rasées, Toutes les barbes sont coupées. (Ⅱ) - λυπει̃σθε ἐφ' ἑαυτοι̃ς ἀπολει̃ται γὰρ καὶ Δηβων οὑ̃ ὁ βωμὸς ὑμω̃ν ἐκει̃ ἀναβήσεσθε κλαίειν ἐπὶ Ναβαυ τη̃ς Μωαβίτιδος ὀλολύζετε ἐπὶ πάσης κεφαλη̃ς φαλάκρωμα πάντες βραχίονες κατατετμημένοι (Ⅲ) - Ascendit domus,/ et Dibon ad excelsa,/ in planctum super Nabo ;/ et super Medaba, Moab ululavit ;/ in cunctis capitibus ejus calvitium,/ et omnis barba radetur./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃15 עלה הבית ודיבן הבמות לבכי על נבו ועל מידבא מואב ייליל בכל ראשיו קרחה כל זקן גרועה (Ⅴ)

In their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth: on the tops of their houses, and in their streets, every one shall howl, weeping abundantly.
- Dans les rues, ils sont couverts de sacs; Sur les toits et dans les places, Tout gémit et fond en larmes. (Ⅱ) - ἐν ται̃ς πλατείαις αὐτη̃ς περιζώσασθε σάκκους καὶ κόπτεσθε ἐπὶ τω̃ν δωμάτων αὐτη̃ς καὶ ἐν ται̃ς ῥύμαις αὐτη̃ς πάντες ὀλολύζετε μετὰ κλαυθμου̃ (Ⅲ) - In triviis ejus accincti sunt sacco ;/ super tecta ejus et in plateis ejus/ omnis ululatus descendit in fletum./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃15 בחוצתיו חגרו שק על גגותיה וברחבתיה כלה ייליל ירד בבכי (Ⅴ)

And Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: their voice shall be heard even unto Jahaz: therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous unto him.
- Hesbon et Élealé poussent des cris, On entend leur voix jusqu'à Jahats; Même les guerriers de Moab se lamentent, Ils ont l'effroi dans l'âme. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι κέκραγεν Εσεβων καὶ Ελεαλη ἕως Ιασσα ἠκούσθη ἡ φωνὴ αὐτω̃ν διὰ του̃το ἡ ὀσφὺς τη̃ς Μωαβίτιδος βοα̨̃ ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτη̃ς γνώσεται (Ⅲ) - Clamabit Hesebon et Eleale,/ usque Jasa audita est vox eorum ;/ super hoc expediti Moab ululabunt,/ anima ejus ululabit sibi./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃15 ותזעק חשבון ואלעלה עד יהץ נשמע קולם על כן חלצי מואב יריעו נפשו ירעה לו (Ⅴ)

My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee unto Zoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction.
- Mon coeur gémit sur Moab, Dont les fugitifs se sauvent jusqu'à Tsoar, Jusqu'à Églath Schelischija; Car ils font, en pleurant, la montée de Luchith, Et ils jettent des cris de détresse sur le chemin de Choronaïm; (Ⅱ) - ἡ καρδία τη̃ς Μωαβίτιδος βοα̨̃ ἐν αὐτη̨̃ ἕως Σηγωρ δάμαλις γάρ ἐστιν τριετής ἐπὶ δὲ τη̃ς ἀναβάσεως τη̃ς Λουιθ πρὸς σὲ κλαίοντες ἀναβήσονται τη̨̃ ὁδω̨̃ Αρωνιιμ βοα̨̃ σύντριμμα καὶ σεισμός (Ⅲ) - Cor meum ad Moab clamabit ;/ vectes ejus usque ad Segor,/ vitulam conternantem ;/ per ascensum enim Luith/ flens ascendet,/ et in via Oronaim/ clamorem contritionis levabunt./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃15 לבי למואב יזעק בריחה עד צער עגלת שלשיה כי מעלה הלוחית בבכי יעלה בו כי דרך חורנים זעקת שבר יעערו (Ⅴ)

For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass faileth, there is no green thing.
- Car les eaux de Nimrim sont ravagées, L'herbe est desséchée, le gazon est détruit, La verdure a disparu. (Ⅱ) - τὸ ὕδωρ τη̃ς Νεμριμ ἔρημον ἔσται καὶ ὁ χόρτος αὐτη̃ς ἐκλείψει χόρτος γὰρ χλωρὸς οὐκ ἔσται (Ⅲ) - Aquæ enim Nemrim desertæ erunt,/ quia aruit herba, defecit germen,/ viror omnis interiit./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃15 כי מי נמרים משמות יהיו כי יבש חציר כלה דשא ירק לא היה (Ⅴ)

Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows.
- C'est pourquoi ils ramassent ce qui leur reste, Et ils transportent leurs biens au delà du torrent des saules. (Ⅱ) - μὴ καὶ οὕτως μέλλει σωθη̃ναι ἐπάξω γὰρ ἐπὶ τὴν φάραγγα 'Άραβας καὶ λήμψονται αὐτήν (Ⅲ) - Secundum magnitudinem operis, et visitatio eorum :/ ad torrentem Salicum ducent eos./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃15 על כן יתרה עשה ופקדתם על נחל הערבים ישאום (Ⅴ)

For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof unto Beerelim.
- Car les cris environnent les frontières de Moab; Ses lamentations retentissent jusqu'à Églaïm, Ses lamentations retentissent jusqu'à Beer Élim. (Ⅱ) - συνη̃ψεν γὰρ ἡ βοὴ τὸ ὅριον τη̃ς Μωαβίτιδος τη̃ς Αγαλλιμ καὶ ὀλολυγμὸς αὐτη̃ς ἕως του̃ φρέατος του̃ Αιλιμ (Ⅲ) - Quoniam circuivit clamor terminum Moab ;/ usque ad Gallim ululatus ejus,/ et usque ad puteum Elim clamor ejus./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃15 כי הקיפה הזעקה את גבול מואב עד אגלים יללתה ובאר אילים יללתה (Ⅴ)

For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him that escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.
- Les eaux de Dimon sont pleines de sang, Et j'enverrai sur Dimon de nouveaux malheurs, Un lion contre les réchappés de Moab, Contre le reste du pays. (Ⅱ) - τὸ δὲ ὕδωρ τὸ Ρεμμων πλησθήσεται αἵματος ἐπάξω γὰρ ἐπὶ Ρεμμων 'Άραβας καὶ ἀρω̃ τὸ σπέρμα Μωαβ καὶ Αριηλ καὶ τὸ κατάλοιπον Αδαμα (Ⅲ) - Quia aquæ Dibon repletæ sunt sanguine ;/ ponam enim super Dibon additamenta ;/ his qui fugerint de Moab leonem,/ et reliquiis terræ.] (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃15 כי מי דימון מלאו דם כי אשית על דימון נוספות לפליטת מואב אריה ולשארית אדמה (Ⅴ)
