Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God.

After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
- Vous ne ferez point ce qui se fait dans le pays d'Égypte où vous avez habité, et vous ne ferez point ce qui se fait dans le pays de Canaan où je vous mène: vous ne suivrez point leurs usages. (Ⅱ) - κατὰ τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου ἐν ἡ̨̃ κατω̨κήσατε ἐπ' αὐτη̨̃ οὐ ποιήσετε καὶ κατὰ τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα γη̃ς Χανααν εἰς ἣν ἐγὼ εἰσάγω ὑμα̃ς ἐκει̃ οὐ ποιήσετε καὶ τοι̃ς νομίμοις αὐτω̃ν οὐ πορεύσεσθε (Ⅲ) - juxta consuetudinem terræ Ægypti, in qua habitastis, non facietis : et juxta morem regionis Chanaan, ad quam ego introducturus sum vos, non agetis, nec in legitimis eorum ambulabitis. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃18 כמעשה ארץ מצרים אשר ישבתם בה לא תעשו וכמעשה ארץ כנען אשר אני מביא אתכם שמה לא תעשו ובחקתיהם לא תלכו (Ⅴ)

Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
- Vous pratiquerez mes ordonnances, et vous observerez mes lois: vous les suivrez. Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu. (Ⅱ) - τὰ κρίματά μου ποιήσετε καὶ τὰ προστάγματά μου φυλάξεσθε πορεύεσθαι ἐν αὐτοι̃ς ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Facietis judicia mea, et præcepta mea servabitis, et ambulabitis in eis. Ego Dominus Deus vester. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃18 את משפטי תעשו ואת חקתי תשמרו ללכת בהם אני יהוה אלהיכם (Ⅴ)

Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
- Vous observerez mes lois et mes ordonnances: l'homme qui les mettra en pratique vivra par elles. Je suis l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ φυλάξεσθε πάντα τὰ προστάγματά μου καὶ πάντα τὰ κρίματά μου καὶ ποιήσετε αὐτά ἃ ποιήσας ἄνθρωπος ζήσεται ἐν αὐτοι̃ς ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Custodite leges meas atque judicia, quæ faciens homo, vivet in eis. Ego Dominus. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃18 ושמרתם את חקתי ואת משפטי אשר יעשה אתם האדם וחי בהם אני יהוה ס (Ⅴ)

None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.

(Ⅱ) - ἄνθρωπος ἄνθρωπος πρὸς πάντα οἰκει̃α σαρκὸς αὐτου̃ οὐ προσελεύσεται ἀποκαλύψαι ἀσχημοσύνην ἐγὼ κύριος (Ⅲ) - Omnis homo ad proximam sanguinis sui non accedet, ut revelet turpitudinem ejus. The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
- Tu ne découvriras point la nudité de ton père, ni la nudité de ta mère. C'est ta mère: tu ne découvriras point sa nudité. (Ⅱ) - ἀσχημοσύνην πατρός σου καὶ ἀσχημοσύνην μητρός σου οὐκ ἀποκαλύψεις μήτηρ γάρ σού ἐστιν καὶ οὐκ ἀποκαλύψεις τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Turpitudinem patris tui et turpitudinem matris tuæ non discooperies : mater tua est : non revelabis turpitudinem ejus. The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.

The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

(Ⅱ) - ἀσχημοσύνην ἀδελφου̃ του̃ πατρός σου οὐκ ἀποκαλύψεις καὶ πρὸς τὴν γυναι̃κα αὐτου̃ οὐκ εἰσελεύση̨ συγγενὴς γάρ σού ἐστιν (Ⅲ) - Turpitudinem patrui tui non revelabis, nec accedes ad uxorem ejus, quæ tibi affinitate conjungitur. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

(Ⅱ) - ἀσχημοσύνην νύμφης σου οὐκ ἀποκαλύψεις γυνὴ γὰρ υἱου̃ σού ἐστιν οὐκ ἀποκαλύψεις τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Turpitudinem nurus tuæ non revelabis, quia uxor filii tui est : nec discooperies ignominiam ejus. Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
- Tu ne découvriras point la nudité d'une femme et de sa fille. Tu ne prendras point la fille de son fils, ni la fille de sa fille, pour découvrir leur nudité. Ce sont tes proches parentes: c'est un crime. (Ⅱ) - ἀσχημοσύνην γυναικὸς καὶ θυγατρὸς αὐτη̃ς οὐκ ἀποκαλύψεις τὴν θυγατέρα του̃ υἱου̃ αὐτη̃ς καὶ τὴν θυγατέρα τη̃ς θυγατρὸς αὐτη̃ς οὐ λήμψη̨ ἀποκαλύψαι τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην αὐτω̃ν οἰκει̃αι γάρ σού εἰσιν ἀσέβημά ἐστιν (Ⅲ) - Turpitudinem uxoris tuæ et filiæ ejus non revelabis. Filiam filii ejus, et filiam filiæ illius non sumes, ut reveles ignominiam ejus : quia caro illius sunt, et talis coitus incestus est. (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃18 ערות אשה ובתה לא תגלה את בת בנה ואת בת בתה לא תקח לגלות ערותה שארה הנה זמה הוא[1] (Ⅴ)

Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.
- Tu ne prendras point la soeur de ta femme, pour exciter une rivalité, en découvrant sa nudité à côté de ta femme pendant sa vie. (Ⅱ) - γυναι̃κα ἐπὶ ἀδελφη̨̃ αὐτη̃ς οὐ λήμψη̨ ἀντίζηλον ἀποκαλύψαι τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην αὐτη̃ς ἐπ' αὐτη̨̃ ἔτι ζώσης αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Sororem uxoris tuæ in pellicatum illius non accipies, nec revelabis turpitudinem ejus adhuc illa vivente.\ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃18 ואשה אל אחתה לא תקח לצרר לגלות ערותה עליה בחייה (Ⅴ)

Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.

(Ⅱ) - καὶ πρὸς γυναι̃κα ἐν χωρισμω̨̃ ἀκαθαρσίας αὐτη̃ς οὐ προσελεύση̨ ἀποκαλύψαι τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Ad mulierem quæ patitur menstrua non accedes, nec revelabis fœditatem ejus. (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃18 ואל אשה בנדת טמאתה לא תקרב לגלות ערותה (Ⅴ)

Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbor's wife, to defile thyself with her.

(Ⅱ) - καὶ πρὸς τὴν γυναι̃κα του̃ πλησίον σου οὐ δώσεις κοίτην σπέρματός σου ἐκμιανθη̃ναι πρὸς αὐτήν (Ⅲ) - Cum uxore proximi tui non coibis, nec seminis commistione maculaberis. (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃18 ואל אשת עמיתך לא תתן שכבתך לזרע לטמאה בה (Ⅴ)

And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
- Tu ne livreras aucun de tes enfants pour le faire passer à Moloc, et tu ne profaneras point le nom de ton Dieu. Je suis l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπὸ του̃ σπέρματός σου οὐ δώσεις λατρεύειν ἄρχοντι καὶ οὐ βεβηλώσεις τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιον ἐγὼ κύριος (Ⅲ) - De semine tuo non dabis ut consecretur idolo Moloch, nec pollues nomen Dei tui. Ego Dominus. (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃18 ומזרעך לא תתן להעביר למלך ולא תחלל את שם אלהיך אני יהוה (Ⅴ)

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
- Tu ne coucheras point avec un homme comme on couche avec une femme. C'est une abomination. (Ⅱ) - καὶ μετὰ ἄρσενος οὐ κοιμηθήση̨ κοίτην γυναικός βδέλυγμα γάρ ἐστιν (Ⅲ) - Cum masculo non commiscearis coitu femineo, quia abominatio est. (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃18 ואת זכר לא תשכב משכבי אשה תועבה הוא (Ⅴ)

Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
- Tu ne coucheras point avec une bête, pour te souiller avec elle. La femme ne s'approchera point d'une bête, pour se prostituer à elle. C'est une confusion. (Ⅱ) - καὶ πρὸς πα̃ν τετράπουν οὐ δώσεις τὴν κοίτην σου εἰς σπερματισμὸν ἐκμιανθη̃ναι πρὸς αὐτό καὶ γυνὴ οὐ στήσεται πρὸς πα̃ν τετράπουν βιβασθη̃ναι μυσερὸν γάρ ἐστιν (Ⅲ) - Cum omni pecore non coibis, nec maculaberis cum eo. Mulier non succumbet jumento, nec miscebitur ei, quia scelus est. (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃18 ובכל בהמה לא תתן שכבתך לטמאה בה ואשה לא תעמד לפני בהמה לרבעה תבל הוא (Ⅴ)

Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
- Ne vous souillez par aucune de ces choses, car c'est par toutes ces choses que se sont souillées les nations que je vais chasser devant vous. (Ⅱ) - μὴ μιαίνεσθε ἐν πα̃σιν τούτοις ἐν πα̃σι γὰρ τούτοις ἐμιάνθησαν τὰ ἔθνη ἃ ἐγὼ ἐξαποστέλλω πρὸ προσώπου ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Nec polluamini in omnibus his quibus contaminatæ sunt universæ gentes, quas ego ejiciam ante conspectum vestrum, (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃18 אל תטמאו בכל אלה כי בכל אלה נטמאו הגוים אשר אני משלח מפניכם (Ⅴ)

And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
- Le pays en a été souillé; je punirai son iniquité, et le pays vomira ses habitants. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐμιάνθη ἡ γη̃ καὶ ἀνταπέδωκα ἀδικίαν αὐτοι̃ς δι' αὐτήν καὶ προσώχθισεν ἡ γη̃ τοι̃ς ἐγκαθημένοις ἐπ' αὐτη̃ς (Ⅲ) - et quibus polluta est terra : cujus ego scelera visitabo, ut evomat habitatores suos. (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃18 ותטמא הארץ ואפקד עונה עליה ותקא הארץ את ישביה (Ⅴ)

Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
- Vous observerez donc mes lois et mes ordonnances, et vous ne commettrez aucune de ces abominations, ni l'indigène, ni l'étranger qui séjourne au milieu de vous. (Ⅱ) - καὶ φυλάξεσθε πάντα τὰ νόμιμά μου καὶ πάντα τὰ προστάγματά μου καὶ οὐ ποιήσετε ἀπὸ πάντων τω̃ν βδελυγμάτων τούτων ὁ ἐγχώριος καὶ ὁ προσγενόμενος προσήλυτος ἐν ὑμι̃ν (Ⅲ) - Custodite legitima mea atque judicia, et non faciatis ex omnibus abominationibus istis, tam indigena quam colonus qui peregrinantur apud vos. (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃18 ושמרתם אתם את חקתי ואת משפטי ולא תעשו מכל התועבת האלה האזרח והגר הגר בתוככם (Ⅴ)

(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
- Car ce sont là toutes les abominations qu'ont commises les hommes du pays, qui y ont été avant vous; et le pays en a été souillé. (Ⅱ) - πάντα γὰρ τὰ βδελύγματα ταυ̃τα ἐποίησαν οἱ ἄνθρωποι τη̃ς γη̃ς οἱ ὄντες πρότεροι ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἐμιάνθη ἡ γη̃ (Ⅲ) - Omnes enim execrationes istas fecerunt accolæ terræ qui fuerunt ante vos, et polluerunt eam. (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃18 כי את כל התועבת האל עשו אנשי הארץ אשר לפניכם ותטמא הארץ (Ⅴ)

That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
- Prenez garde que le pays ne vous vomisse, si vous le souillez, comme il aura vomi les nations qui y étaient avant vous. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἵνα μὴ προσοχθίση̨ ὑμι̃ν ἡ γη̃ ἐν τω̨̃ μιαίνειν ὑμα̃ς αὐτήν ὃν τρόπον προσώχθισεν τοι̃ς ἔθνεσιν τοι̃ς πρὸ ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Cavete ergo ne et vos similiter evomat, cum paria feceritis, sicut evomuit gentem, quæ fuit ante vos. (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃18 ולא תקיא הארץ אתכם בטמאכם אתה כאשר קאה את הגוי אשר לפניכם (Ⅴ)

For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
- Car tous ceux qui commettront quelqu'une de ces abominations seront retranchés du milieu de leur peuple. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι πα̃ς ὃς ἂν ποιήση̨ ἀπὸ πάντων τω̃ν βδελυγμάτων τούτων ἐξολεθρευθήσονται αἱ ψυχαὶ αἱ ποιου̃σαι ἐκ του̃ λαου̃ αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Omnis anima, quæ fecerit de abominationibus his quippiam, peribit de medio populi sui. (Ⅳ) - 29 ׃18 כי כל אשר יעשה מכל התועבות האלה ונכרתו הנפשות העשת מקרב עמם (Ⅴ)

Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
- Vous observerez mes commandements, et vous ne pratiquerez aucun des usages abominables qui se pratiquaient avant vous, vous ne vous en souillerez pas. Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu.
