The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
- Oracle sur l'Égypte. Voici, l'Éternel est monté sur une nuée rapide, il vient en Égypte; Et les idoles de l'Égypte tremblent devant lui, Et le coeur des Égyptiens tombe en défaillance. (Ⅱ) - ὅρασις Αἰγύπτου ἰδοὺ κύριος κάθηται ἐπὶ νεφέλης κούφης καὶ ἥξει εἰς Αἴγυπτον καὶ σεισθήσεται τὰ χειροποίητα Αἰγύπτου ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτου̃ καὶ ἡ καρδία αὐτω̃ν ἡττηθήσεται ἐν αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅲ) - Onus Ægypti. [Ecce Dominus ascendet super nubem levem,/ et ingredietur Ægyptum,/ et commovebuntur simulacra Ægypti a facie ejus,/ et cor Ægypti tabescet in medio ejus,/ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃19 משא מצרים הנה יהוה רכב על עב קל ובא מצרים ונעו אלילי מצרים מפניו ולבב מצרים ימס בקרבו (Ⅴ)

And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
- J'armerai l'Égyptien contre l'Égyptien, Et l'on se battra frère contre frère, ami contre ami, Ville contre ville, royaume contre royaume. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐπεγερθήσονται Αἰγύπτιοι ἐπ' Αἰγυπτίους καὶ πολεμήσει ἄνθρωπος τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτου̃ καὶ ἄνθρωπος τὸν πλησίον αὐτου̃ πόλις ἐπὶ πόλιν καὶ νομὸς ἐπὶ νομόν (Ⅲ) - et concurrere faciam Ægyptios adversus Ægyptios ;/ et pugnabit vir contra fratrem suum, et vir contra amicum suum,/ civitas adversus civitatem, regnum adversus regnum./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃19 וסכסכתי מצרים במצרים ונלחמו איש באחיו ואיש ברעהו עיר בעיר ממלכה בממלכה (Ⅴ)

And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
- L'esprit de l'Égypte disparaîtra du milieu d'elle, Et j'anéantirai son conseil; On consultera les idoles et les enchanteurs, Ceux qui évoquent les morts et ceux qui prédisent l'avenir. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ταραχθήσεται τὸ πνευ̃μα τω̃ν Αἰγυπτίων ἐν αὐτοι̃ς καὶ τὴν βουλὴν αὐτω̃ν διασκεδάσω καὶ ἐπερωτήσουσιν τοὺς θεοὺς αὐτω̃ν καὶ τὰ ἀγάλματα αὐτω̃ν καὶ τοὺς ἐκ τη̃ς γη̃ς φωνου̃ντας καὶ τοὺς ἐγγαστριμύθους (Ⅲ) - Et dirumpetur spiritus Ægypti in visceribus ejus,/ et consilium ejus præcipitabo ;/ et interrogabunt simulacra sua, et divinos suos,/ et pythones, et ariolos./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃19 ונבקה רוח מצרים בקרבו ועצתו אבלע ודרשו אל האלילים ואל האטים ואל האבות ואל הידענים (Ⅴ)

And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
- Et je livrerai l'Égypte entre les mains d'un maître sévère; Un roi cruel dominera sur eux, Dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel des armées. (Ⅱ) - καὶ παραδώσω Αἴγυπτον εἰς χει̃ρας ἀνθρώπων κυρίων σκληρω̃ν καὶ βασιλει̃ς σκληροὶ κυριεύσουσιν αὐτω̃ν τάδε λέγει κύριος σαβαωθ (Ⅲ) - Et tradam Ægyptum in manu dominorum crudelium,/ et rex fortis dominabitur eorum,/ ait Dominus Deus exercituum./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃19 וסכרתי את מצרים ביד אדנים קשה ומלך עז ימשל בם נאם האדון יהוה צבאות (Ⅴ)

And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
- Les eaux de la mer tariront, Le fleuve deviendra sec et aride; (Ⅱ) - καὶ πίονται οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι ὕδωρ τὸ παρὰ θάλασσαν ὁ δὲ ποταμὸς ἐκλείψει καὶ ξηρανθήσεται (Ⅲ) - Et arescet aqua de mari,/ et fluvius desolabitur atque siccabitur./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃19 ונשתו מים מהים ונהר יחרב ויבש (Ⅴ)

And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.
- Les rivières seront infectes, Les canaux de l'Égypte seront bas et desséchés, Les joncs et les roseaux se flétriront. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐκλείψουσιν οἱ ποταμοὶ καὶ αἱ διώρυγες του̃ ποταμου̃ καὶ ξηρανθήσεται πα̃σα συναγωγὴ ὕδατος καὶ ἐν παντὶ ἕλει καλάμου καὶ παπύρου (Ⅲ) - Et deficient flumina,/ attenuabuntur et siccabuntur rivi aggerum,/ calamus et juncus marcescet./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃19 והאזניחו נהרות דללו וחרבו יארי מצור קנה וסוף קמלו (Ⅴ)

The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.
- Ce ne sera que nudité le long du fleuve, à l'embouchure du fleuve; Tout ce qui aura été semé près du fleuve se desséchera, Se réduira en poussière et périra. (Ⅱ) - καὶ τὸ ἄχι τὸ χλωρὸν πα̃ν τὸ κύκλω̨ του̃ ποταμου̃ καὶ πα̃ν τὸ σπειρόμενον διὰ του̃ ποταμου̃ ξηρανθήσεται ἀνεμόφθορον (Ⅲ) - Nudabitur alveus rivi a fonte suo,/ et omnis sementis irrigua/ siccabitur, arescet, et non erit./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃19 ערות על יאור על פי יאור וכל מזרע יאור ייבש נדף ואיננו (Ⅴ)

The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
- Les pêcheurs gémiront, Tous ceux qui jettent l'hameçon dans le fleuve se lamenteront, Et ceux qui étendent des filets sur les eaux seront désolés. (Ⅱ) - καὶ στενάξουσιν οἱ ἁλεει̃ς καὶ στενάξουσιν πάντες οἱ βάλλοντες ἄγκιστρον εἰς τὸν ποταμόν καὶ οἱ βάλλοντες σαγήνας καὶ οἱ ἀμφιβολει̃ς πενθήσουσιν (Ⅲ) - Et mœrebunt piscatores,/ et lugebunt omnes mittentes in flumen hamum ;/ et expandentes rete super faciem aquarum emarcescent./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃19 ואנו הדיגים ואבלו כל משליכי ביאור חכה ופרשי מכמרת על פני מים אמללו (Ⅴ)

Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.
- Ceux qui travaillent le lin peigné Et qui tissent des étoffes blanches seront confus. (Ⅱ) - καὶ αἰσχύνη λήμψεται τοὺς ἐργαζομένους τὸ λίνον τὸ σχιστὸν καὶ τοὺς ἐργαζομένους τὴν βύσσον (Ⅲ) - Confundentur qui operabantur linum,/ pectentes et texentes subtilia./ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃19 ובשו עבדי פשתים שריקות וארגים חורי (Ⅴ)

And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.
- Les soutiens du pays seront dans l'abattement, Tous les mercenaires auront l'âme attristée. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσονται οἱ διαζόμενοι αὐτὰ ἐν ὀδύνη̨ καὶ πάντες οἱ τὸν ζυ̃θον ποιου̃ντες λυπηθήσονται καὶ τὰς ψυχὰς πονέσουσιν (Ⅲ) - Et erunt irrigua ejus flaccentia :/ omnes qui faciebant lacunas ad capiendos pisces./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃19 והיו שתתיה מדכאים כל עשי שכר אגמי נפש (Ⅴ)

Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
- Les princes de Tsoan ne sont que des insensés, Les sages conseillers de Pharaon forment un conseil stupide. Comment osez-vous dire à Pharaon: Je suis fils des sages, fils des anciens rois? (Ⅱ) - καὶ μωροὶ ἔσονται οἱ ἄρχοντες Τάνεως οἱ σοφοὶ σύμβουλοι του̃ βασιλέως ἡ βουλὴ αὐτω̃ν μωρανθήσεται πω̃ς ἐρει̃τε τω̨̃ βασιλει̃ υἱοὶ συνετω̃ν ἡμει̃ς υἱοὶ βασιλέων τω̃ν ἐξ ἀρχη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Stulti principes Taneos,/ sapientes consiliarii Pharaonis/ dederunt consilium insipiens./ Quomodo dicetis Pharaoni :/ Filius sapientium ego,/ filius regum antiquorum ?/ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃19 אך אולים שרי צען חכמי יעצי פרעה עצה נבערה איך תאמרו אל פרעה בן חכמים אני בן מלכי קדם (Ⅴ)

Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.
- Où sont-ils donc tes sages? Qu'ils te fassent des révélations, Et qu'on apprenne ce que l'Éternel des armées a résolu contre l'Égypte. (Ⅱ) - που̃ εἰσιν νυ̃ν οἱ σοφοί σου καὶ ἀναγγειλάτωσάν σοι καὶ εἰπάτωσαν τί βεβούλευται κύριος σαβαωθ ἐπ' Αἴγυπτον (Ⅲ) - Ubi nunc sunt sapientes tui ?/ annuntient tibi, et indicent/ quid cogitaverit Dominus exercituum super Ægyptum./ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃19 אים אפוא חכמיך ויגידו נא לך וידעו מה יעץ יהוה צבאות על מצרים (Ⅴ)

The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.
- Les princes de Tsoan sont fous, Les princes de Noph sont dans l'illusion, Les chefs des tribus égarent l'Égypte; (Ⅱ) - ἐξέλιπον οἱ ἄρχοντες Τάνεως καὶ ὑψώθησαν οἱ ἄρχοντες Μέμφεως καὶ πλανήσουσιν Αἴγυπτον κατὰ φυλάς (Ⅲ) - Stulti facti sunt principes Taneos,/ emarcuerunt principes Mempheos ;/ deceperunt Ægyptum, angulum populorum ejus./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃19 נואלו שרי צען נשאו שרי נף התעו את מצרים פנת שבטיה (Ⅴ)

The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
- L'Éternel a répandu au milieu d'elle un esprit de vertige, Pour qu'ils fassent chanceler les Égyptiens dans tous leurs actes, Comme un homme ivre chancelle en vomissant. (Ⅱ) - κύριος γὰρ ἐκέρασεν αὐτοι̃ς πνευ̃μα πλανήσεως καὶ ἐπλάνησαν Αἴγυπτον ἐν πα̃σι τοι̃ς ἔργοις αὐτω̃ν ὡς πλανα̃ται ὁ μεθύων καὶ ὁ ἐμω̃ν ἅμα (Ⅲ) - Dominus miscuit in medio ejus spiritum vertiginis ;/ et errare fecerunt Ægyptum in omni opere suo,/ sicut errat ebrius et vomens./ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃19 יהוה מסך בקרבה רוח עועים והתעו את מצרים בכל מעשהו כהתעות שכור בקיאו (Ⅴ)

Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.
- Et l'Égypte sera hors d'état de faire Ce que font la tête et la queue, La branche de palmier et le roseau. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οὐκ ἔσται τοι̃ς Αἰγυπτίοις ἔργον ὃ ποιήσει κεφαλὴν καὶ οὐράν ἀρχὴν καὶ τέλος (Ⅲ) - Et non erit Ægypto opus/ quod faciat caput et caudam,/ incurvantem et refrenantem./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃19 ולא יהיה למצרים מעשה אשר יעשה ראש וזנב כפה ואגמון ס (Ⅴ)

In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.
- En ce jour, l'Égypte sera comme des femmes: Elle tremblera et aura peur, En voyant s'agiter la main de l'Éternel des armées, Quand il la lèvera contre elle. (Ⅱ) - τη̨̃ δὲ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ ἔσονται οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι ὡς γυναι̃κες ἐν φόβω̨ καὶ ἐν τρόμω̨ ἀπὸ προσώπου τη̃ς χειρὸς κυρίου σαβαωθ ἣν αὐτὸς ἐπιβαλει̃ αὐτοι̃ς (Ⅲ) - In die illa erit Ægyptus quasi mulieres ;/ et stupebunt, et timebunt/ a facie commotionis manus Domini exercituum,/ quam ipse movebit super eam./ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃19 ביום ההוא יהיה מצרים כנשים וחרד ופחד מפני תנופת יד יהוה צבאות אשר הוא מניף עליו (Ⅴ)

And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.
- Et le pays de Juda sera pour l'Égypte un objet d'effroi: Dès qu'on lui en parlera, elle sera dans l'épouvante, A cause de la résolution prise contre elle par l'Éternel des armées. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται ἡ χώρα τω̃ν Ιουδαίων τοι̃ς Αἰγυπτίοις εἰς φόβητρον πα̃ς ὃς ἐὰν ὀνομάση̨ αὐτὴν αὐτοι̃ς φοβηθήσονται διὰ τὴν βουλήν ἣν βεβούλευται κύριος ἐπ' αὐτήν (Ⅲ) - Et erit terra Juda/ Ægypto in pavorem ;/ omnis qui illius fuerit recordatus pavebit/ a facie consilii Domini exercituum,/ quod ipse cogitavit super eam./ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃19 והיתה אדמת יהודה למצרים לחגא כל אשר יזכיר אתה אליו יפחד מפני עצת יהוה צבאות אשר הוא יועץ עליו ס (Ⅴ)

In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.
- En ce temps-là, il y aura cinq villes au pays d'Égypte, Qui parleront la langue de Canaan, Et qui jureront par l'Éternel des armées: L'une d'elles sera appelée ville de la destruction. (Ⅱ) - τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ ἔσονται πέντε πόλεις ἐν Αἰγύπτω̨ λαλου̃σαι τη̨̃ γλώσση̨ τη̨̃ Χανανίτιδι καὶ ὀμνύουσαι τω̨̃ ὀνόματι κυρίου πόλισ-ασεδεκ κληθήσεται ἡ μία πόλις (Ⅲ) - In die illa erunt quinque civitates/ in terra Ægypti/ loquentes lingua Chanaan,/ et jurantes per Dominum exercituum :/ Civitas solis vocabitur una./ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃19 ביום ההוא יהיו חמש ערים בארץ מצרים מדברות שפת כנען ונשבעות ליהוה צבאות עיר ההרס יאמר לאחת ס (Ⅴ)

In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
- En ce même temps, il y aura un autel à l'Éternel Au milieu du pays d'Égypte, Et sur la frontière un monument à l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ ἔσται θυσιαστήριον τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ ἐν χώρα̨ Αἰγυπτίων καὶ στήλη πρὸς τὸ ὅριον αὐτη̃ς τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ (Ⅲ) - In die illa erit altare Domini/ in medio terræ Ægypti,/ et titulus Domini juxta terminum ejus./ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃19 ביום ההוא יהיה מזבח ליהוה בתוך ארץ מצרים ומצבה אצל גבולה ליהוה (Ⅴ)

And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.
- Ce sera pour l'Éternel des armées un signe et un témoignage Dans le pays d'Égypte; Ils crieront à l'Éternel à cause des oppresseurs, Et il leur enverra un sauveur et un défenseur pour les délivrer. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται εἰς σημει̃ον εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να κυρίω̨ ἐν χώρα̨ Αἰγύπτου ὅτι κεκράξονται πρὸς κύριον διὰ τοὺς θλίβοντας αὐτούς καὶ ἀποστελει̃ αὐτοι̃ς κύριος ἄνθρωπον ὃς σώσει αὐτούς κρίνων σώσει αὐτούς (Ⅲ) - Erit in signum et in testimonium Domino exercituum/ in terra Ægypti ;/ clamabunt enim ad Dominum a facie tribulationis,/ et mittet eis salvatorem/ et propugnatorem qui liberet eos./ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃19 והיה לאות ולעד ליהוה צבאות בארץ מצרים כי יצעקו אל יהוה מפני לחצים וישלח להם מושיע ורב והצילם (Ⅴ)

And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.
- Et l'Éternel sera connu des Égyptiens, Et les Égyptiens connaîtront l'Éternel en ce jour-là; Ils feront des sacrifices et des offrandes, Ils feront des voeux à l'Éternel et les accompliront. (Ⅱ) - καὶ γνωστὸς ἔσται κύριος τοι̃ς Αἰγυπτίοις καὶ γνώσονται οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι τὸν κύριον ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ καὶ ποιήσουσιν θυσίας καὶ εὔξονται εὐχὰς τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ καὶ ἀποδώσουσιν (Ⅲ) - Et cognoscetur Dominus ab Ægypto,/ et cognoscent Ægyptii Dominum/ in die illa ;/ et colent eum in hostiis et in muneribus ;/ et vota vovebunt Domino, et solvent./ (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃19 ונודע יהוה למצרים וידעו מצרים את יהוה ביום ההוא ועבדו זבח ומנחה ונדרו נדר ליהוה ושלמו (Ⅴ)

And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.
- Ainsi l'Éternel frappera les Égyptiens, Il les frappera, mais il les guérira; Et ils se convertiront à l'Éternel, Qui les exaucera et les guérira. (Ⅱ) - καὶ πατάξει κύριος τοὺς Αἰγυπτίους πληγη̨̃ μεγάλη̨ καὶ ἰάσεται αὐτοὺς ἰάσει καὶ ἐπιστραφήσονται πρὸς κύριον καὶ εἰσακούσεται αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἰάσεται αὐτούς (Ⅲ) - Et percutiet Dominus Ægyptum plaga,/ et sanabit eam ;/ et revertentur ad Dominum,/ et placabitur eis, et sanabit eos./ (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃19 ונגף יהוה את מצרים נגף ורפוא ושבו עד יהוה ונעתר להם ורפאם (Ⅴ)

In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
- En ce même temps, il y aura une route d'Égypte en Assyrie: Les Assyriens iront en Égypte, et les Égyptiens en Assyrie, Et les Égyptiens avec les Assyriens serviront l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ ἔσται ὁδὸς Αἰγύπτου πρὸς 'Ασσυρίους καὶ εἰσελεύσονται 'Ασσύριοι εἰς Αἴγυπτον καὶ Αἰγύπτιοι πορεύσονται πρὸς 'Ασσυρίους καὶ δουλεύσουσιν οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι τοι̃ς 'Ασσυρίοις (Ⅲ) - In die illa erit via/ de Ægypto in Assyrios ;/ et intrabit Assyrius Ægyptum,/ et Ægyptius in Assyrios,/ et servient Ægyptii Assur./ (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃19 ביום ההוא תהיה מסלה ממצרים אשורה ובא אשור במצרים ומצרים באשור ועבדו מצרים את אשור ס (Ⅴ)

In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
- En ce même temps, Israël sera, lui troisième, Uni à l'Égypte et à l'Assyrie, Et ces pays seront l'objet d'une bénédiction. (Ⅱ) - τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ ἔσται Ισραηλ τρίτος ἐν τοι̃ς 'Ασσυρίοις καὶ ἐν τοι̃ς Αἰγυπτίοις εὐλογημένος ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ (Ⅲ) - In die illa erit Israël tertius/ Ægyptio et Assyrio ;/ benedictio in medio terræ/ (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃19 ביום ההוא יהיה ישראל שלישיה למצרים ולאשור ברכה בקרב הארץ (Ⅴ)

Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
