Bildad de Schuach prit la parole et dit:
- Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, (Ⅱ) - ὑπολαβὼν δὲ Βαλδαδ ὁ Σαυχίτης λέγει (Ⅲ) - Respondens autem Baldad Suhites, dixit : (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃25 ויען בלדד השחי ויאמר (Ⅴ)

La puissance et la terreur appartiennent à Dieu; Il fait régner la paix dans ses hautes régions.
- Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places. (Ⅱ) - τί γὰρ προοίμιον ἢ φόβος παρ' αὐτου̃ ὁ ποιω̃ν τὴν σύμπασαν ἐν ὑψίστω̨ (Ⅲ) - Potestas et terror apud eum est,/ qui facit concordiam in sublimibus suis./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃25 המשל ופחד עמו עשה שלום במרומיו (Ⅴ)

Ses armées ne sont-elles pas innombrables? Sur qui sa lumière ne se lève-t-elle pas?
- Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise? (Ⅱ) - μὴ γάρ τις ὑπολάβοι ὅτι ἔστιν παρέλκυσις πειραται̃ς ἐπὶ τίνας δὲ οὐκ ἐπελεύσεται ἔνεδρα παρ' αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Numquid est numerus militum ejus ?/ et super quem non surget lumen illius ?/ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃25 היש מספר לגדודיו ועל מי לא יקום אורהו (Ⅴ)

Comment l'homme serait-il juste devant Dieu? Comment celui qui est né de la femme serait-il pur?
- How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? (Ⅱ) - πω̃ς γὰρ ἔσται δίκαιος βροτὸς ἔναντι κυρίου ἢ τίς ἂν ἀποκαθαρίσαι ἑαυτὸν γεννητὸς γυναικός (Ⅲ) - Numquid justificari potest homo comparatus Deo ?/ aut apparere mundus natus de muliere ?/ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃25 ומה יצדק אנוש עם אל ומה יזכה ילוד אשה (Ⅴ)

Voici, la lune même n'est pas brillante, Et les étoiles ne sont pas pures à ses yeux;
- Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. (Ⅱ) - εἰ σελήνη̨ συντάσσει καὶ οὐκ ἐπιφαύσκει ἄστρα δὲ οὐ καθαρὰ ἐναντίον αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Ecce luna etiam non splendet,/ et stellæ non sunt mundæ in conspectu ejus :/ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃25 הן עד ירח ולא יאהיל וכוכבים לא זכו בעיניו (Ⅴ)

Combien moins l'homme, qui n'est qu'un ver, Le fils de l'homme, qui n'est qu'un vermisseau!
- How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm? (Ⅱ) - ἔα δέ ἄνθρωπος σαπρία καὶ υἱὸς ἀνθρώπου σκώληξ (Ⅲ) - quanto magis homo putredo,/ et filius hominis vermis ?] (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃25 אף כי אנוש רמה ובן אדם תולעה פ (Ⅴ)
