Au commencement du règne de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, cette parole fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Éternel, en ces mots:
- In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, (Ⅱ) - In principio regni Joakim filii Josiæ regis Juda, factum est verbum istud ad Jeremiam a Domino, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃27 בראשית ממלכת יהויקם בן יאושיהו מלך יהודה היה הדבר הזה אל ירמיה מאת יהוה לאמר (Ⅴ)

Ainsi m'a parlé l'Éternel: Fais-toi des liens et des jougs, et mets-les sur ton cou.
- Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck, (Ⅱ) - Hæc dicit Dominus ad me : Fac tibi vincula et catenas, et pones eas in collo tuo, (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃27 כה אמר יהוה אלי עשה לך מוסרות ומטות ונתתם על צוארך (Ⅴ)

Envoie-les au roi d'Édom, au roi de Moab, au roi des enfants d'Ammon, au roi de Tyr et au roi de Sidon, par les envoyés qui sont venus à Jérusalem auprès de Sédécias, roi de Juda,
- And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah; (Ⅱ) - et mittes eas ad regem Edom, et ad regem Moab, et ad regem filiorum Ammon, et ad regem Tyri, et ad regem Sidonis, in manu nuntiorum qui venerunt Jerusalem ad Sedeciam regem Juda. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃27 ושלחתם אל מלך אדום ואל מלך מואב ואל מלך בני עמון ואל מלך צר ואל מלך צידון ביד מלאכים הבאים ירושלם אל צדקיהו מלך יהודה (Ⅴ)

et à qui tu donneras mes ordres pour leurs maîtres, en disant: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici ce que vous direz à vos maîtres:
- And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters; (Ⅱ) - Et præcipies eis ut ad dominos suos loquantur : Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël : Hæc dicetis ad dominos vestros : (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃27 וצוית אתם אל אדניהם לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל כה תאמרו אל אדניכם (Ⅴ)

C'est moi qui ai fait la terre, les hommes et les animaux qui sont sur la terre, par ma grande puissance et par mon bras étendu, et je donne la terre à qui cela me plaît.
- I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me. (Ⅱ) - Ego feci terram, et homines, et jumenta quæ sunt super faciem terræ, in fortitudine mea magna, et in brachio meo extento, et dedi eam ei qui placuit in oculis meis. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃27 אנכי עשיתי את הארץ את האדם ואת הבהמה אשר על פני הארץ בכחי הגדול ובזרועי הנטויה ונתתיה לאשר ישר בעיני (Ⅴ)

Maintenant je livre tous ces pays entre les mains de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, mon serviteur; je lui donne aussi les animaux des champs, pour qu'ils lui soient assujettis.
- And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him. (Ⅱ) - Et nunc itaque ego dedi omnes terras istas in manu Nabuchodonosor regis Babylonis servi mei : insuper et bestias agri dedi ei, ut serviant illi : (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃27 ועתה אנכי נתתי את כל הארצות האלה ביד נבוכדנאצר מלך בבל עבדי וגם את חית השדה נתתי לו לעבדו (Ⅴ)

Toutes les nations lui seront soumises, à lui, à son fils, et au fils de son fils, jusqu'à ce que le temps de son pays arrive, et que des nations puissantes et de grands rois l'asservissent.
- And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him. (Ⅱ) - et servient ei omnes gentes, et filio ejus, et filio filii ejus, donec veniat tempus terræ ejus et ipsius : et servient ei gentes multæ et reges magni. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃27 ועבדו אתו כל הגוים ואת בנו ואת בן בנו עד בא עת ארצו גם הוא ועבדו בו גוים רבים ומלכים גדלים (Ⅴ)

Si une nation, si un royaume ne se soumet pas à lui, à Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, et ne livre pas son cou au joug du roi de Babylone, je châtierai cette nation par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste, dit l'Éternel, jusqu'à ce que je l'aie anéantie par sa main.
- And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. (Ⅱ) - Gens autem et regnum quod non servierit Nabuchodonosor regi Babylonis, et quicumque non curvaverit collum suum sub jugo regis Babylonis, in gladio, et in fame, et in peste visitabo super gentem illam, ait Dominus, donec consumam eos in manu ejus. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃27 והיה הגוי והממלכה אשר לא יעבדו אתו את נבוכדנאצר מלך בבל ואת אשר לא יתן את צוארו בעל מלך בבל בחרב וברעב ובדבר אפקד על הגוי ההוא נאם יהוה עד תמי אתם בידו (Ⅴ)

Et vous, n'écoutez pas vos prophètes, vos devins, vos songeurs, vos astrologues, vos magiciens, qui vous disent: Vous ne serez point asservis au roi de Babylone!
- Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: (Ⅱ) - Vos ergo nolite audire prophetas vestros, et divinos, et somniatores, et augures, et maleficos, qui dicunt vobis : Non servietis regi Babylonis : (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃27 ואתם אל תשמעו אל נביאיכם ואל קסמיכם ואל חלמתיכם ואל ענניכם ואל כשפיכם אשר הם אמרים אליכם לאמר לא תעבדו את מלך בבל (Ⅴ)

Car c'est le mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent, afin que vous soyez éloignés de votre pays, afin que je vous chasse et que vous périssiez.
- For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish. (Ⅱ) - quia mendacium prophetant vobis, ut longe vos faciant de terra vestra, et ejiciant vos, et pereatis. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃27 כי שקר הם נבאים לכם למען הרחיק אתכם מעל אדמתכם והדחתי אתכם ואבדתם (Ⅴ)

Mais la nation qui pliera son cou sous le joug du roi de Babylone, et qui lui sera soumise, je la laisserai dans son pays, dit l'Éternel, pour qu'elle le cultive et qu'elle y demeure.
- But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein. (Ⅱ) - Porro gens quæ subjecerit cervicem suam sub jugo regis Babylonis, et servierit ei, dimittam eam in terra sua, dicit Dominus, et colet eam, et habitabit in ea. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃27 והגוי אשר יביא את צוארו בעל מלך בבל ועבדו והנחתיו על אדמתו נאם יהוה ועבדה וישב בה (Ⅴ)

J'ai dit entièrement les mêmes choses à Sédécias, roi de Juda: Pliez votre cou sous le joug du roi de Babylone, soumettez-vous à lui et à son peuple, et vous vivrez.
- I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live. (Ⅱ) - Et ad Sedeciam regem Juda locutus sum secundum omnia verba hæc, dicens : Subjicite colla vestra sub jugo regis Babylonis, et servite ei et populo ejus, et vivetis. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃27 ואל צדקיה מלך יהודה דברתי ככל הדברים האלה לאמר הביאו את צואריכם בעל מלך בבל ועבדו אתו ועמו וחיו (Ⅴ)

Pourquoi mourriez-vous, toi et ton peuple, par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste, comme l'Éternel l'a prononcé sur la nation qui ne se soumettra pas au roi de Babylone?
- Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? (Ⅱ) - Quare moriemini, tu et populus tuus, gladio, et fame, et peste, sicut locutus est Dominus ad gentem quæ servire noluerit regi Babylonis ? (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃27 למה תמותו אתה ועמך בחרב ברעב ובדבר כאשר דבר יהוה אל הגוי אשר לא יעבד את מלך בבל (Ⅴ)

N'écoutez pas les paroles des prophètes qui vous disent: Vous ne serez point asservis au roi de Babylone! Car c'est le mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent.
- Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you. (Ⅱ) - Nolite audire verba prophetarum dicentium vobis : Non servietis regi Babylonis : quia mendacium ipsi loquuntur vobis : (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃27 ואל תשמעו אל דברי הנבאים האמרים אליכם לאמר לא תעבדו את מלך בבל כי שקר הם נבאים לכם (Ⅴ)

Je ne les ai point envoyés, dit l'Éternel, et ils prophétisent le mensonge en mon nom, afin que je vous chasse et que vous périssiez, vous et les prophètes qui vous prophétisent.
- For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you. (Ⅱ) - quia non misi eos, ait Dominus, et ipsi prophetant in nomine meo mendaciter, ut ejiciant vos, et pereatis, tam vos quam prophetæ qui vaticinantur vobis. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃27 כי לא שלחתים נאם יהוה והם נבאים בשמי לשקר למען הדיחי אתכם ואבדתם אתם והנבאים הנבאים לכם (Ⅴ)

J'ai dit aux sacrificateurs et à tout ce peuple: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: N'écoutez pas les paroles de vos prophètes qui vous prophétisent, disant: Voici, les ustensiles de la maison de l'Éternel seront bientôt rapportés de Babylone! Car c'est le mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent.
- Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you. (Ⅱ) - Et ad sacerdotes, et ad populum istum, locutus sum, dicens : Hæc dicit Dominus : Nolite audire verba prophetarum vestrorum, qui prophetant vobis, dicentes : Ecce vasa Domini revertentur de Babylone nunc cito : mendacium enim prophetant vobis. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃27 ואל הכהנים ואל כל העם הזה דברתי לאמר כה אמר יהוה אל תשמעו אל דברי נביאיכם הנבאים לכם לאמר הנה כלי בית יהוה מושבים מבבלה עתה מהרה כי שקר המה נבאים לכם (Ⅴ)

Ne les écoutez pas, soumettez-vous au roi de Babylone, et vous vivrez. Pourquoi cette ville deviendrait-elle une ruine?
- Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste? (Ⅱ) - Nolite ergo audire eos : sed servite regi Babylonis, ut vivatis : quare datur hæc civitas in solitudinem ? (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃27 אל תשמעו אליהם עבדו את מלך בבל וחיו למה תהיה העיר הזאת חרבה (Ⅴ)

S'ils sont prophètes et si la parole de l'Éternel est avec eux, qu'ils intercèdent auprès de l'Éternel des armées pour que les ustensiles qui restent dans la maison de l'Éternel, dans la maison du roi de Juda, et dans Jérusalem, ne s'en aillent point à Babylone.
- But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon. (Ⅱ) - Et si prophetæ sunt, et est verbum Domini in eis, occurrant Domino exercituum, ut non veniant vasa quæ derelicta fuerant in domo Domini, et in domo regis Juda, et in Jerusalem, in Babylonem. (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃27 ואם נבאים הם ואם יש דבר יהוה אתם יפגעו נא ביהוה צבאות לבלתי באו הכלים הנותרים בבית יהוה ובית מלך יהודה ובירושלם בבלה פ (Ⅴ)

Car ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées au sujet des colonnes, de la mer, des bases, et des autres ustensiles qui sont restés dans cette ville,
- For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city. (Ⅱ) - Quia hæc dicit Dominus exercituum ad columnas, et ad mare, et ad bases, et ad reliqua vasorum quæ remanserunt in civitate hac, (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃27 כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אל העמדים ועל הים ועל המכנות ועל יתר הכלים הנותרים בעיר הזאת (Ⅴ)

qui n'ont pas été enlevés par Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, lorsqu'il emmena captifs de Jérusalem à Babylone Jeconia, fils de Jojakim, roi de Juda, et tous les grands de Juda et de Jérusalem,
- Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem; (Ⅱ) - quæ non tulit Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis cum transferret Jechoniam filium Joakim regem Juda de Jerusalem in Babylonem, et omnes optimates Juda et Jerusalem : (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃27 אשר לא לקחם נבוכדנאצר מלך בבל בגלותו את יכוניה[1] בן יהויקים מלך יהודה מירושלם בבלה ואת כל חרי יהודה וירושלם ס (Ⅴ)

ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël, au sujet des ustensiles qui restent dans la maison de l'Éternel, dans la maison du roi de Juda, et dans Jérusalem:
- Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem; (Ⅱ) - quia hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël, ad vasa quæ derelicta sunt in domo Domini, et in domo regis Juda et Jerusalem : (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃27 כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל על הכלים הנותרים בית יהוה ובית מלך יהודה וירושלם (Ⅴ)

Ils seront emportés à Babylone, et ils y resteront jusqu'au jour où je les chercherai, dit l'Éternel, où je les ferai remonter et revenir dans ce lieu.
- They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place. (Ⅱ) - In Babylonem transferentur, et ibi erunt usque ad diem visitationis suæ, dicit Dominus, et afferri faciam ea, et restitui in loco isto. (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃27 בבלה יובאו ושמה יהיו עד יום פקדי אתם נאם יהוה והעליתים והשיבתים אל המקום הזה פ (Ⅴ)
