1 ׃28 נסו ואין רדף רשע וצדיקים ככפיר יבטח
- Le méchant prend la fuite sans qu'on le poursuive, Le juste a de l'assurance comme un jeune lion. (Ⅱ) - The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. (Ⅲ) - Fugit impius nemine persequente ;/ justus autem, quasi leo confidens, absque terrore erit./ (Ⅴ)

2 ׃28 בפשע ארץ רבים שריה ובאדם מבין ידע כן יאריך
- Quand un pays est en révolte, les chefs sont nombreux; Mais avec un homme qui a de l'intelligence et de la science, Le règne se prolonge. (Ⅱ) - For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged. (Ⅲ) - Propter peccata terræ multi principes ejus ;/ et propter hominis sapientiam, et horum scientiam quæ dicuntur,/ vita ducis longior erit./ (Ⅴ)

3 ׃28 גבר רש ועשק דלים מטר סחף ואין לחם
- Un homme pauvre qui opprime les misérables Est une pluie violente qui fait manquer le pain. (Ⅱ) - A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food. (Ⅲ) - Vir pauper calumnians pauperes/ similis est imbri vehementi in quo paratur fames.]\ (Ⅴ)

4 ׃28 עזבי תורה יהללו רשע ושמרי תורה יתגרו בם פ
- Ceux qui abandonnent la loi louent le méchant, Mais ceux qui observent la loi s'irritent contre lui. (Ⅱ) - They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them. (Ⅲ) - Qui derelinquunt legem laudant impium ;/ qui custodiunt, succenduntur contra eum./ (Ⅴ)

5 ׃28 אנשי רע לא יבינו משפט ומבקשי יהוה יבינו כל
- Les hommes livrés au mal ne comprennent pas ce qui est juste, Mais ceux qui cherchent l'Éternel comprennent tout. (Ⅱ) - Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things. (Ⅲ) - Viri mali non cogitant judicium ;/ qui autem inquirunt Dominum animadvertunt omnia./ (Ⅴ)

6 ׃28 טוב רש הולך בתמו מעקש דרכים והוא עשיר
- Mieux vaut le pauvre qui marche dans son intégrité, Que celui qui a des voies tortueuses et qui est riche. (Ⅱ) - Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich. (Ⅲ) - Melior est pauper ambulans in simplicitate sua/ quam dives in pravis itineribus./ (Ⅴ)

7 ׃28 נוצר תורה בן מבין ורעה זוללים יכלים אביו
- Celui qui observe la loi est un fils intelligent, Mais celui qui fréquente les débauchés fait honte à son père. (Ⅱ) - Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father. (Ⅲ) - Qui custodit legem filius sapiens est ;/ qui autem comessatores pascit confundit patrem suum./ (Ⅴ)

8 ׃28 מרבה הונו בנשך *ובתרבית **ותרבית לחונן דלים יקבצנו
- Celui qui augmente ses biens par l'intérêt et l'usure Les amasse pour celui qui a pitié des pauvres. (Ⅱ) - He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor. (Ⅲ) - Qui coacervat divitias usuris et fœnore,/ liberali in pauperes congregat eas./ (Ⅴ)

9 ׃28 מסיר אזנו משמע תורה גם תפלתו תועבה
- Si quelqu'un détourne l'oreille pour ne pas écouter la loi, Sa prière même est une abomination. (Ⅱ) - He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. (Ⅲ) - Qui declinat aures suas ne audiat legem,/ oratio ejus erit execrabilis./ (Ⅴ)

10 ׃28 משגה ישרים בדרך רע בשחותו הוא יפול ותמימים ינחלו טוב
- Celui qui égare les hommes droits dans la mauvaise voie Tombe dans la fosse qu'il a creusée; Mais les hommes intègres héritent le bonheur. (Ⅱ) - Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession. (Ⅲ) - Qui decipit justos in via mala, in interitu suo corruet,/ et simplices possidebunt bona ejus./ (Ⅴ)

11 ׃28 חכם בעיניו איש עשיר ודל מבין יחקרנו
- L'homme riche se croit sage; Mais le pauvre qui est intelligent le sonde. (Ⅱ) - The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out. (Ⅲ) - Sapiens sibi videtur vir dives ;/ pauper autem prudens scrutabitur eum./ (Ⅴ)

12 ׃28 בעלץ צדיקים רבה תפארת ובקום רשעים יחפש אדם
- Quand les justes triomphent, c'est une grande gloire; Quand les méchants s'élèvent, chacun se cache. (Ⅱ) - When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden. (Ⅲ) - In exsultatione justorum multa gloria est ;/ regnantibus impiis, ruinæ hominum./ (Ⅴ)

13 ׃28 מכסה פשעיו לא יצליח ומודה ועזב ירחם
- Celui qui cache ses transgressions ne prospère point, Mais celui qui les avoue et les délaisse obtient miséricorde. (Ⅱ) - He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. (Ⅲ) - Qui abscondit scelera sua non dirigetur ;/ qui autem confessus fuerit et reliquerit ea, misericordiam consequetur./ (Ⅴ)

14 ׃28 אשרי אדם מפחד תמיד ומקשה לבו יפול ברעה
- Heureux l'homme qui est continuellement dans la crainte! Mais celui qui endurcit son coeur tombe dans le malheur. (Ⅱ) - Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief. (Ⅲ) - Beatus homo qui semper est pavidus ;/ qui vero mentis est duræ corruet in malum./ (Ⅴ)

15 ׃28 ארי נהם ודב שוקק משל רשע על עם דל
- Comme un lion rugissant et un ours affamé, Ainsi est le méchant qui domine sur un peuple pauvre. (Ⅱ) - As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people. (Ⅲ) - Leo rugiens et ursus esuriens,/ princeps impius super populum pauperem./ (Ⅴ)

16 ׃28 נגיד חסר תבונות ורב מעשקות *שנאי **שנא בצע יאריך ימים פ
- Un prince sans intelligence multiplie les actes d'oppression, Mais celui qui est ennemi de la cupidité prolonge ses jours. (Ⅱ) - The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days. (Ⅲ) - Dux indigens prudentia multos opprimet per calumniam ;/ qui autem odit avaritiam, longi fient dies ejus./ (Ⅴ)

17 ׃28 אדם עשק בדם נפש[Q][c][n] עד בור ינוס אל יתמכו בו
- Un homme chargé du sang d'un autre Fuit jusqu'à la fosse: qu'on ne l'arrête pas! (Ⅱ) - A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him. (Ⅲ) - Hominem qui calumniatur animæ sanguinem,/ si usque ad lacum fugerit, nemo sustinet./ (Ⅴ)

18 ׃28 הולך תמים יושע ונעקש דרכים יפול באחת
- Celui qui marche dans l'intégrité trouve le salut, Mais celui qui suit deux voies tortueuses tombe dans l'une d'elles. (Ⅱ) - Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once. (Ⅲ) - Qui ambulat simpliciter salvus erit ;/ qui perversis graditur viis concidet semel./ (Ⅴ)

19 ׃28 עבד אדמתו ישבע לחם ומרדף רקים ישבע ריש
- Celui qui cultive son champ est rassasié de pain, Mais celui qui poursuit des choses vaines est rassasié de pauvreté. (Ⅱ) - He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough. (Ⅲ) - Qui operatur terram suam satiabitur panibus ;/ qui autem sectatur otium replebitur egestate.]\ (Ⅴ)

20 ׃28 איש אמונות רב ברכות ואץ להעשיר לא ינקה
- Un homme fidèle est comblé de bénédictions, Mais celui qui a hâte de s'enrichir ne reste pas impuni. (Ⅱ) - A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. (Ⅲ) - Vir fidelis multum laudabitur ;/ qui autem festinat ditari non erit innocens./ (Ⅴ)

21 ׃28 הכר פנים לא טוב ועל פת לחם יפשע גבר
- Il n'est pas bon d'avoir égard aux personnes, Et pour un morceau de pain un homme se livre au péché. (Ⅱ) - To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress. (Ⅲ) - Qui cognoscit in judicio faciem non bene facit ;/ iste et pro buccella panis deserit veritatem./ (Ⅴ)

22 ׃28 נבהל להון איש רע עין ולא ידע כי חסר יבאנו
- Un homme envieux a hâte de s'enrichir, Et il ne sait pas que la disette viendra sur lui. (Ⅱ) - He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. (Ⅲ) - Vir qui festinat ditari, et aliis invidet,/ ignorat quod egestas superveniet ei./ (Ⅴ)

23 ׃28 מוכיח אדם אחרי חן ימצא ממחליק לשון
- Celui qui reprend les autres trouve ensuite plus de faveur Que celui dont la langue est flatteuse. (Ⅱ) - He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue. (Ⅲ) - Qui corripit hominem gratiam postea inveniet apud eum,/ magis quam ille qui per linguæ blandimenta decipit./ (Ⅴ)

24 ׃28 גוזל אביו ואמו ואמר אין פשע חבר הוא לאיש משחית
- Celui qui vole son père et sa mère, Et qui dit: Ce n'est pas un péché! Est le compagnon du destructeur. (Ⅱ) - Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer. (Ⅲ) - Qui subtrahit aliquid a patre suo et a matre,/ et dicit hoc non esse peccatum,/ particeps homicidæ est./ (Ⅴ)

25 ׃28 רחב נפש יגרה מדון ובוטח על יהוה ידשן
- L'orgueilleux excite les querelles, Mais celui qui se confie en l'Éternel est rassasié. (Ⅱ) - He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat. (Ⅲ) - Qui se jactat et dilatat, jurgia concitat ;/ qui vero sperat in Domino sanabitur./ (Ⅴ)

26 ׃28 בוטח בלבו הוא כסיל והולך בחכמה הוא ימלט
- Celui qui a confiance dans son propre coeur est un insensé, Mais celui qui marche dans la sagesse sera sauvé. (Ⅱ) - He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. (Ⅲ) - Qui confidit in corde suo stultus est ;/ qui autem graditur sapienter, ipse salvabitur./ (Ⅴ)

27 ׃28 נותן לרש אין מחסור ומעלים עיניו רב מארות
- Celui qui donne au pauvre n'éprouve pas la disette, Mais celui qui ferme les yeux est chargé de malédictions. (Ⅱ) - He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse. (Ⅲ) - Qui dat pauperi non indigebit ;/ qui despicit deprecantem sustinebit penuriam./ (Ⅴ)

28 ׃28 בקום רשעים יסתר אדם ובאבדם ירבו צדיקים
- Quand les méchants s'élèvent, chacun se cache; Et quand ils périssent, les justes se multiplient. (Ⅱ) - When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase. (Ⅲ) - Cum surrexerint impii, abscondentur homines ;/ cum illi perierint, multiplicabuntur justi.] (Ⅴ)
