εἰ̃πεν δὲ αὐτη̨̃ Νωεμιν ἡ πενθερὰ αὐτη̃ς θύγατερ οὐ μὴ ζητήσω σοι ἀνάπαυσιν ἵνα εὐ̃ γένηταί σοι
- Naomi, sa belle-mère, lui dit: Ma fille, je voudrais assurer ton repos, afin que tu fusses heureuse. (Ⅱ) - Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee? (Ⅲ) - Postquam autem reversa est ad socrum suam, audivit ab ea : Filia mea, quæram tibi requiem, et providebo ut bene sit tibi. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃3 ותאמר לה נעמי חמותה בתי הלא אבקש לך מנוח אשר ייטב לך (Ⅴ)

καὶ νυ̃ν οὐχὶ Βοος γνώριμος ἡμω̃ν οὑ̃ ἠ̃ς μετὰ τω̃ν κορασίων αὐτου̃ ἰδοὺ αὐτὸς λικμα̨̃ τὸν ἅλωνα τω̃ν κριθω̃ν ταύτη̨ τη̨̃ νυκτί
- Et maintenant Boaz, avec les servantes duquel tu as été, n'est-il pas notre parent? Voici, il doit vanner cette nuit les orges qui sont dans l'aire. (Ⅱ) - And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor. (Ⅲ) - Booz iste, cujus puellis in agro juncta es, propinquus noster est, et hac nocte aream hordei ventilat. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃3 ועתה הלא בעז מדעתנו אשר היית את נערותיו הנה הוא זרה את גרן השערים הלילה (Ⅴ)

σὺ δὲ λούση̨ καὶ ἀλείψη̨ καὶ περιθήσεις τὸν ἱματισμόν σου ἐπὶ σεαυτη̨̃ καὶ ἀναβήση̨ ἐπὶ τὸν ἅλω μὴ γνωρισθη̨̃ς τω̨̃ ἀνδρὶ ἕως οὑ̃ συντελέσαι αὐτὸν πιει̃ν καὶ φαγει̃ν
- Lave-toi et oins-toi, puis remets tes habits, et descends à l'aire. Tu ne te feras pas connaître à lui, jusqu'à ce qu'il ait achevé de manger et de boire. (Ⅱ) - Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking. (Ⅲ) - Lavare igitur, et ungere, et induere cultioribus vestimentis, et descende in aream : non te videat homo, donec esum potumque finierit. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃3 ורחצת וסכת ושמת *שמלתך **שמלתיך עליך *וירדתי **וירדת הגרן אל תודעי לאיש עד כלתו לאכל ולשתות (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἔσται ἐν τω̨̃ κοιμηθη̃ναι αὐτόν καὶ γνώση̨ τὸν τόπον ὅπου κοιμα̃ται ἐκει̃ καὶ ἐλεύση̨ καὶ ἀποκαλύψεις τὰ πρὸς ποδω̃ν αὐτου̃ καὶ κοιμηθήση̨ καὶ αὐτὸς ἀπαγγελει̃ σοι ἃ ποιήσεις
- Et quand il ira se coucher, observe le lieu où il se couche. Ensuite va, découvre ses pieds, et couche-toi. Il te dira lui-même ce que tu as à faire. (Ⅱ) - And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do. (Ⅲ) - Quando autem ierit ad dormiendum, nota locum in quo dormiat : veniesque et discooperies pallium, quo operitur a parte pedum, et projicies te, et ibi jacebis : ipse autem dicet quid agere debeas. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃3 ויהי בשכבו וידעת את המקום אשר ישכב שם ובאת וגלית מרגלתיו *ושכבתי **ושכבת והוא יגיד לך את אשר תעשין[V][v] (Ⅴ)

εἰ̃πεν δὲ Ρουθ πρὸς αὐτήν πάντα ὅσα ἐὰν εἴπη̨ς ποιήσω
- Elle lui répondit: Je ferai tout ce que tu as dit. (Ⅱ) - And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do. (Ⅲ) - Quæ respondit : Quidquid præceperis, faciam. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃3 ותאמר אליה כל אשר תאמרי **אלי אעשה (Ⅴ)

καὶ κατέβη εἰς τὸν ἅλω καὶ ἐποίησεν κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο αὐτη̨̃ ἡ πενθερὰ αὐτη̃ς
- Elle descendit à l'aire, et fit tout ce qu'avait ordonné sa belle-mère. (Ⅱ) - And she went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her mother in law bade her. (Ⅲ) - Descenditque in aream, et fecit omnia quæ sibi imperaverat socrus.\ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃3 ותרד הגרן ותעש ככל אשר צותה חמותה (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἔφαγεν Βοος καὶ ἠγαθύνθη ἡ καρδία αὐτου̃ καὶ ἠ̃λθεν κοιμηθη̃ναι ἐν μερίδι τη̃ς στοιβη̃ς ἡ δὲ ἠ̃λθεν κρυφη̨̃ καὶ ἀπεκάλυψεν τὰ πρὸς ποδω̃ν αὐτου̃
- Boaz mangea et but, et son coeur était joyeux. Il alla se coucher à l'extrémité d'un tas de gerbes. Ruth vint alors tout doucement, découvrit ses pieds, et se coucha. (Ⅱ) - And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn: and she came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down. (Ⅲ) - Cumque comedisset Booz, et bibisset, et factus esset hilarior, issetque ad dormiendum juxta acervum manipulorum, venit abscondite, et discooperto pallio, a pedibus ejus se projecit. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃3 ויאכל בעז וישת וייטב לבו ויבא לשכב בקצה הערמה ותבא בלט ותגל מרגלתיו ותשכב (Ⅴ)

ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τω̨̃ μεσονυκτίω̨ καὶ ἐξέστη ὁ ἀνὴρ καὶ ἐταράχθη καὶ ἰδοὺ γυνὴ κοιμα̃ται πρὸς ποδω̃ν αὐτου̃
- Au milieu de la nuit, cet homme eut une frayeur; il se pencha, et voici, une femme était couchée à ses pieds. (Ⅱ) - And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. (Ⅲ) - Et ecce, nocte jam media expavit homo, et conturbatus est : viditque mulierem jacentem ad pedes suos, (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃3 ויהי בחצי הלילה ויחרד האיש וילפת והנה אשה שכבת מרגלתיו (Ⅴ)

εἰ̃πεν δέ τίς εἰ̃ σύ ἡ δὲ εἰ̃πεν ἐγώ εἰμι Ρουθ ἡ δούλη σου καὶ περιβαλει̃ς τὸ πτερύγιόν σου ἐπὶ τὴν δούλην σου ὅτι ἀγχιστεὺς εἰ̃ σύ
- Il dit: Qui es-tu? Elle répondit: Je suis Ruth, ta servante; étends ton aile sur ta servante, car tu as droit de rachat. (Ⅱ) - And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman. (Ⅲ) - et ait illi : Quæ es ? Illaque respondit : Ego sum Ruth ancilla tua : expande pallium tuum super famulam tuam, quia propinquus es. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃3 ויאמר מי את[U] ותאמר אנכי רות אמתך ופרשת כנפך על אמתך כי גאל אתה (Ⅴ)

καὶ εἰ̃πεν Βοος εὐλογημένη σὺ τω̨̃ κυρίω̨ θεω̨̃ θύγατερ ὅτι ἠγάθυνας τὸ ἔλεός σου τὸ ἔσχατον ὑπὲρ τὸ πρω̃τον τὸ μὴ πορευθη̃ναί σε ὀπίσω νεανιω̃ν εἴτοι πτωχὸς εἴτοι πλούσιος
- Et il dit: Sois bénie de l'Éternel, ma fille! Ce dernier trait témoigne encore plus en ta faveur que le premier, car tu n'as pas recherché des jeunes gens, pauvres ou riches. (Ⅱ) - And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast showed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich. (Ⅲ) - Et ille : Benedicta, inquit, es a Domino, filia, et priorem misericordiam posteriore superasti : quia non est secuta juvenes, pauperes sive divites. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃3 ויאמר ברוכה את ליהוה בתי היטבת חסדך האחרון מן הראשון לבלתי לכת אחרי הבחורים אם דל ואם עשיר (Ⅴ)

καὶ νυ̃ν θύγατερ μὴ φοβου̃ πάντα ὅσα ἐὰν εἴπη̨ς ποιήσω σοι οἰ̃δεν γὰρ πα̃σα φυλὴ λαου̃ μου ὅτι γυνὴ δυνάμεως εἰ̃ σύ
- Maintenant, ma fille, ne crains point; je ferai pour toi tout ce que tu diras; car toute la porte de mon peuple sait que tu es une femme vertueuse. (Ⅱ) - And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman. (Ⅲ) - Noli ergo metuere, sed quidquid dixeris mihi, faciam tibi. Scit enim omnis populus, qui habitat intra portas urbis meæ, mulierem te esse virtutis. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃3 ועתה בתי אל תיראי כל אשר תאמרי אעשה לך כי יודע כל שער עמי כי אשת חיל את (Ⅴ)

καὶ ὅτι ἀληθω̃ς ἀγχιστεὺς ἐγώ εἰμι καί γε ἔστιν ἀγχιστεὺς ἐγγίων ὑπὲρ ἐμέ
- Il est bien vrai que j'ai droit de rachat, mais il en existe un autre plus proche que moi. (Ⅱ) - And now it is true that I am thy near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I. (Ⅲ) - Nec abnuo me propinquum, sed est alius me propinquior. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃3 ועתה כי אמנם כי *אם גאל אנכי וגם יש גאל קרוב ממני (Ⅴ)

αὐλίσθητι τὴν νύκτα καὶ ἔσται τὸ πρωί ἐὰν ἀγχιστεύση̨ σε ἀγαθόν ἀγχιστευέτω ἐὰν δὲ μὴ βούληται ἀγχιστευ̃σαί σε ἀγχιστεύσω σε ἐγώ ζη̨̃ κύριος κοιμήθητι ἕως πρωί
- Passe ici la nuit. Et demain, s'il veut user envers toi du droit de rachat, à la bonne heure, qu'il le fasse; mais s'il ne lui plaît pas d'en user envers toi, j'en userai, moi, l'Éternel est vivant! Reste couchée jusqu'au matin. (Ⅱ) - Tarry this night, and it shall be in the morning, that if he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the kinsman's part: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to thee, then will I do the part of a kinsman to thee, as the LORD liveth: lie down until the morning. (Ⅲ) - Quiesce hac nocte : et facto mane, si te voluerit propinquitatis jure retinere, bene res acta est : sin autem ille noluerit, ego te absque ulla dubitatione suscipiam, vivit Dominus. Dormi usque mane. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃3 ליני הלילה והיה בבקר אם יגאלך טוב יגאל ואם לא יחפץ לגאלך וגאלתיך אנכי חי יהוה שכבי עד הבקר (Ⅴ)

καὶ ἐκοιμήθη πρὸς ποδω̃ν αὐτου̃ ἕως πρωί ἡ δὲ ἀνέστη πρὸ του̃ ἐπιγνω̃ναι ἄνδρα τὸν πλησίον αὐτου̃ καὶ εἰ̃πεν Βοος μὴ γνωσθήτω ὅτι ἠ̃λθεν γυνὴ εἰς τὸν ἅλωνα
- Elle resta couchée à ses pieds jusqu'au matin, et elle se leva avant qu'on pût se reconnaître l'un l'autre. Boaz dit: Qu'on ne sache pas qu'une femme est entrée dans l'aire. (Ⅱ) - And she lay at his feet until the morning: and she rose up before one could know another. And he said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor. (Ⅲ) - Dormivit itaque ad pedes ejus, usque ad noctis abscessum. Surrexit itaque antequam homines se cognoscerent mutuo, et dixit Booz : Cave ne quis noverit quod huc veneris. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃3 ותשכב *מרגלתו **מרגלותיו[Q][k][n][v] עד הבקר ותקם *בטרום **בטרם יכיר איש את רעהו ויאמר אל יודע כי באה האשה הגרן (Ⅴ)

καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτη̨̃ φέρε τὸ περίζωμα τὸ ἐπάνω σου καὶ ἐκράτησεν αὐτό καὶ ἐμέτρησεν ἓξ κριθω̃ν καὶ ἐπέθηκεν ἐπ' αὐτήν καὶ εἰση̃λθεν εἰς τὴν πόλιν
- Et il ajouta: Donne le manteau qui est sur toi, et tiens-le. Elle le tint, et il mesura six mesures d'orge, qu'il chargea sur elle. Puis il rentra dans la ville. (Ⅱ) - Also he said, Bring the vail that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city. (Ⅲ) - Et rursum : Expande, inquit, pallium tuum, quo operiris, et tene utraque manu. Qua extendente, et tenente, mensus est sex modios hordei, et posuit super eam. Quæ portans ingressa est civitatem, (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃3 ויאמר הבי המטפחת אשר עליך ואחזי בה ותאחז בה וימד שש שערים וישת עליה ויבא העיר (Ⅴ)

καὶ Ρουθ εἰση̃λθεν πρὸς τὴν πενθερὰν αὐτη̃ς ἡ δὲ εἰ̃πεν τίς εἰ̃ θύγατερ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτη̨̃ πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν αὐτη̨̃ ὁ ἀνήρ
- Ruth revint auprès de sa belle-mère, et Naomi dit: Est-ce toi, ma fille? Ruth lui raconta tout ce que cet homme avait fait pour elle. (Ⅱ) - And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her. (Ⅲ) - et venit ad socrum suam. Quæ dixit ei : Quid egisti, filia ? Narravitque ei omnia, quæ sibi fecisset homo. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃3 ותבוא אל חמותה ותאמר מי את בתי ותגד לה את כל אשר עשה לה האיש (Ⅴ)

καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτη̨̃ τὰ ἓξ τω̃ν κριθω̃ν ταυ̃τα ἔδωκέν μοι ὅτι εἰ̃πεν πρός με μὴ εἰσέλθη̨ς κενὴ πρὸς τὴν πενθεράν σου
- Elle dit: Il m'a donné ces six mesures d'orge, en disant: Tu ne retourneras pas à vide vers ta belle-mère. (Ⅱ) - And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty unto thy mother in law. (Ⅲ) - Et ait : Ecce sex modios hordei dedit mihi, et ait : Nolo vacuam te reverti ad socrum tuam. (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃3 ותאמר שש השערים האלה נתן לי כי אמר **אלי אל תבואי ריקם אל חמותך (Ⅴ)

ἡ δὲ εἰ̃πεν κάθου θύγατερ ἕως του̃ ἐπιγνω̃ναί σε πω̃ς οὐ πεσει̃ται ῥη̃μα οὐ γὰρ μὴ ἡσυχάση̨ ὁ ἀνήρ ἕως ἂν τελέση̨ τὸ ῥη̃μα σήμερον
- Et Naomi dit: Sois tranquille, ma fille, jusqu'à ce que tu saches comment finira la chose, car cet homme ne se donnera point de repos qu'il n'ait terminé cette affaire aujourd'hui. (Ⅱ) - Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day. (Ⅲ) - Dixitque Noëmi : Expecta, filia, donec videamus quem res exitum habeat : neque enim cessabit homo, nisi compleverit quod locutus est. (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃3 ותאמר שבי בתי עד אשר תדעין איך יפל דבר כי לא ישקט האיש כי אם כלה הדבר היום (Ⅴ)
