Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
- Le roi Nebucadnetsar fit une statue d'or, haute de soixante coudées et large de six coudées. Il la dressa dans la vallée de Dura, dans la province de Babylone. (Ⅱ) - ἔτους ὀκτωκαιδεκάτου Ναβουχοδονοσορ ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐποίησεν εἰκόνα χρυση̃ν ὕψος αὐτη̃ς πήχεων ἑξήκοντα εὐ̃ρος αὐτη̃ς πήχεων ἕξ καὶ ἔστησεν αὐτὴν ἐν πεδίω̨ Δεϊρα ἐν χώρα̨ Βαβυλω̃νος (Ⅲ) - Nabuchodonosor rex fecit statuam auream, altitudine cubitorum sexaginta, latitudine cubitorum sex, et statuit eam in campo Dura, provinciæ Babylonis. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
- Le roi Nebucadnetsar fit convoquer les satrapes, les intendants et les gouverneurs, les grands juges, les trésoriers, les jurisconsultes, les juges, et tous les magistrats des provinces, pour qu'ils se rendissent à la dédicace de la statue qu'avait élevée le roi Nebucadnetsar. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπέστειλεν συναγαγει̃ν τοὺς ὑπάτους καὶ τοὺς στρατηγοὺς καὶ τοὺς τοπάρχας ἡγουμένους καὶ τυράννους καὶ τοὺς ἐπ' ἐξουσιω̃ν καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἄρχοντας τω̃ν χωρω̃ν ἐλθει̃ν εἰς τὰ ἐγκαίνια τη̃ς εἰκόνος ἡ̃ς ἔστησεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ ὁ βασιλεύς (Ⅲ) - Itaque Nabuchodonosor rex misit ad congregandos satrapas, magistratus, et judices, duces, et tyrannos, et præfectos, omnesque principes regionum, ut convenirent ad dedicationem statuæ quam erexerat Nabuchodonosor rex. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃3 ונבוכדנצר מלכא שלח למכנש לאחשדרפניא סגניא ופחותא אדרגזריא גדבריא דתבריא תפתיא וכל שלטני מדינתא למתא לחנכת צלמא די הקים נבוכדנצר מלכא (Ⅴ)

Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
- Alors les satrapes, les intendants et les gouverneurs, les grands juges, les trésoriers, les jurisconsultes, les juges, et tous les magistrats des provinces, s'assemblèrent pour la dédicace de la statue qu'avait élevée le roi Nebucadnetsar. Ils se placèrent devant la statue qu'avait élevée Nebucadnetsar. (Ⅱ) - καὶ συνήχθησαν οἱ τοπάρχαι ὕπατοι στρατηγοί ἡγούμενοι τύραννοι μεγάλοι οἱ ἐπ' ἐξουσιω̃ν καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες τω̃ν χωρω̃ν εἰς τὸν ἐγκαινισμὸν τη̃ς εἰκόνος ἡ̃ς ἔστησεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ ὁ βασιλεύς καὶ εἱστήκεισαν ἐνώπιον τη̃ς εἰκόνος ἡ̃ς ἔστησεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ (Ⅲ) - Tunc congregati sunt satrapæ, magistratus, et judices, duces, et tyranni, et optimates, qui erant in potestatibus constituti, et universi principes regionum, ut convenirent ad dedicationem statuæ, quam erexerat Nabuchodonosor rex. Stabant autem in conspectu statuæ, quam posuerat Nabuchodonosor rex : (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃3 באדין מתכנשין אחשדרפניא סגניא ופחותא אדרגזריא גדבריא דתבריא תפתיא וכל שלטני מדינתא לחנכת צלמא די הקים נבוכדנצר מלכא *וקאמין **וקימין לקבל צלמא די הקים נבוכדנצר (Ⅴ)

Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,
- Un héraut cria à haute voix: Voici ce qu'on vous ordonne, peuples, nations, hommes de toutes langues! (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὁ κη̃ρυξ ἐβόα ἐν ἰσχύι ὑμι̃ν λέγεται λαοί φυλαί γλω̃σσαι (Ⅲ) - et præco clamabat valenter : Vobis dicitur populis, tribubus, et linguis : (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃3 וכרוזא קרא בחיל לכון אמרין עממיא אמיא ולשניא (Ⅴ)

That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
- Au moment où vous entendrez le son de la trompette, du chalumeau, de la guitare, de la sambuque, du psaltérion, de la cornemuse, et de toutes sortes d'instruments de musique, vous vous prosternerez et vous adorerez la statue d'or qu'a élevée le roi Nebucadnetsar. (Ⅱ) - ἡ̨̃ ἂν ὥρα̨ ἀκούσητε τη̃ς φωνη̃ς τη̃ς σάλπιγγος σύριγγός τε καὶ κιθάρας σαμβύκης καὶ ψαλτηρίου καὶ συμφωνίας καὶ παντὸς γένους μουσικω̃ν πίπτοντες προσκυνει̃τε τη̨̃ εἰκόνι τη̨̃ χρυση̨̃ ἡ̨̃ ἔστησεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ ὁ βασιλεύς (Ⅲ) - in hora qua audieritis sonitum tubæ, et fistulæ, et citharæ, sambucæ, et psalterii, et symphoniæ, et universi generis musicorum, cadentes adorate statuam auream, quam constituit Nabuchodonosor rex. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃3 בעדנא די תשמעון קל קרנא משרוקיתא *קיתרוס **קתרוס סבכא פסנתרין סומפניה וכל זני זמרא תפלון ותסגדון לצלם דהבא די הקים נבוכדנצר מלכא (Ⅴ)

And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
- Quiconque ne se prosternera pas et n'adorera pas sera jeté à l'instant même au milieu d'une fournaise ardente. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὃς ἂν μὴ πεσὼν προσκυνήση̨ αὐτη̨̃ τη̨̃ ὥρα̨ ἐμβληθήσεται εἰς τὴν κάμινον του̃ πυρὸς τὴν καιομένην (Ⅲ) - Si quis autem non prostratus adoraverit, eadem hora mittetur in fornacem ignis ardentis. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃3 ומן די לא יפל ויסגד בה שעתא יתרמא לגוא אתון נורא יקדתא (Ⅴ)

Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
- C'est pourquoi, au moment où tous les peuples entendirent le son de la trompette, du chalumeau, de la guitare, de la sambuque, du psaltérion, et de toutes sortes d'instruments de musique, tous les peuples, les nations, les hommes de toutes langues se prosternèrent et adorèrent la statue d'or qu'avait élevée le roi Nebucadnetsar. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ὅτε ἤκουσαν οἱ λαοὶ τη̃ς φωνη̃ς τη̃ς σάλπιγγος σύριγγός τε καὶ κιθάρας σαμβύκης καὶ ψαλτηρίου καὶ συμφωνίας καὶ παντὸς γένους μουσικω̃ν πίπτοντες πάντες οἱ λαοί φυλαί γλω̃σσαι προσεκύνουν τη̨̃ εἰκόνι τη̨̃ χρυση̨̃ ἡ̨̃ ἔστησεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ ὁ βασιλεύς (Ⅲ) - Post hæc igitur, statim ut audierunt omnes populi sonitum tubæ, fistulæ, et citharæ, sambucæ, et psalterii, et symphoniæ, et omnis generis musicorum, cadentes omnes populi, tribus, et linguæ adoraverunt statuam auream, quam constituerat Nabuchodonosor rex.\ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃3 כל קבל דנה בה זמנא כדי שמעין כל עממיא קל קרנא משרוקיתא *קיתרס **קתרוס שבכא פסנטרין וכל זני זמרא נפלין כל עממיא אמיא ולשניא סגדין לצלם דהבא די הקים נבוכדנצר מלכא (Ⅴ)

Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.
- A cette occasion, et dans le même temps, quelques Chaldéens s'approchèrent et accusèrent les Juifs. (Ⅱ) - τότε προσήλθοσαν ἄνδρες Χαλδαι̃οι καὶ διέβαλον τοὺς Ιουδαίους (Ⅲ) - Statimque in ipso tempore accedentes viri Chaldæi accusaverunt Judæos : (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃3 כל קבל דנה בה זמנא קרבו גברין כשדאין ואכלו קרציהון די יהודיא (Ⅴ)

They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.
- Ils prirent la parole et dirent au roi Nebucadnetsar: O roi, vis éternellement! (Ⅱ) - τω̨̃ βασιλει̃ Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλευ̃ εἰς τοὺς αἰω̃νας ζη̃θι (Ⅲ) - dixeruntque Nabuchodonosor regi : Rex, in æternum vive ! (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃3 ענו ואמרין לנבוכדנצר מלכא מלכא לעלמין חיי (Ⅴ)

Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:
- Tu as donné un ordre d'après lequel tous ceux qui entendraient le son de la trompette, du chalumeau, de la guitare, de la sambuque, du psaltérion, de la cornemuse, et de toutes sortes d'instruments, devraient se prosterner et adorer la statue d'or, (Ⅱ) - σύ βασιλευ̃ ἔθηκας δόγμα πάντα ἄνθρωπον ὃς ἂν ἀκούση̨ τη̃ς φωνη̃ς τη̃ς σάλπιγγος σύριγγός τε καὶ κιθάρας σαμβύκης καὶ ψαλτηρίου καὶ συμφωνίας καὶ παντὸς γένους μουσικω̃ν (Ⅲ) - tu, rex, posuisti decretum, ut omnis homo, qui audierit sonitum tubæ, fistulæ, et citharæ, sambucæ, et psalterii, et symphoniæ, et universi generis musicorum, prosternat se, et adoret statuam auream : (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃3 *אנתה **אנת מלכא שמת טעם די כל אנש די ישמע קל קרנא משרקיתא *קיתרס **קתרוס שבכא פסנתרין *וסיפניה **וסופניה וכל זני זמרא יפל ויסגד לצלם דהבא (Ⅴ)

And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
- et d'après lequel quiconque ne se prosternerait pas et n'adorerait pas serait jeté au milieu d'une fournaise ardente. (Ⅱ) - καὶ μὴ πεσὼν προσκυνήση̨ τη̨̃ εἰκόνι τη̨̃ χρυση̨̃ ἐμβληθήσεται εἰς τὴν κάμινον του̃ πυρὸς τὴν καιομένην (Ⅲ) - si quis autem non procidens adoraverit, mittatur in fornacem ignis ardentis. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃3 ומן די לא יפל ויסגד יתרמא לגוא אתון נורא יקדתא (Ⅴ)

There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
- Or, il y a des Juifs à qui tu as remis l'intendance de la province de Babylone, Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego, hommes qui ne tiennent aucun compte de toi, ô roi; ils ne servent pas tes dieux, et ils n'adorent point la statue d'or que tu as élevée. (Ⅱ) - εἰσὶν ἄνδρες Ιουδαι̃οι οὓς κατέστησας ἐπὶ τὰ ἔργα τη̃ς χώρας Βαβυλω̃νος Σεδραχ Μισαχ Αβδεναγω οἱ ἄνδρες ἐκει̃νοι οὐχ ὑπήκουσαν βασιλευ̃ τω̨̃ δόγματί σου τοι̃ς θεοι̃ς σου οὐ λατρεύουσιν καὶ τη̨̃ εἰκόνι τη̨̃ χρυση̨̃ ἡ̨̃ ἔστησας οὐ προσκυνου̃σιν (Ⅲ) - Sunt ergo viri Judæi, quos constituisti super opera regionis Babylonis, Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago : viri isti contempserunt, rex, decretum tuum : deos tuos non colunt, et statuam auream, quam erexisti, non adorant. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃3 איתי גברין יהודאין די מנית יתהון על עבידת מדינת בבל שדרך מישך ועבד נגו גבריא אלך לא שמו *עליך **עלך מלכא טעם *לאלהיך **לאלהך לא פלחין ולצלם דהבא די הקימת לא סגדין ס (Ⅴ)

Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.
- Alors Nebucadnetsar, irrité et furieux, donna l'ordre qu'on amenât Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego. Et ces hommes furent amenés devant le roi. (Ⅱ) - τότε Ναβουχοδονοσορ ἐν θυμω̨̃ καὶ ὀργη̨̃ εἰ̃πεν ἀγαγει̃ν τὸν Σεδραχ Μισαχ καὶ Αβδεναγω καὶ ἤχθησαν ἐνώπιον του̃ βασιλέως (Ⅲ) - Tunc Nabuchodonosor, in furore et in ira, præcepit ut adducerentur Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago : qui confestim adducti sunt in conspectu regis. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃3 באדין נבוכדנצר ברגז וחמה אמר להיתיה לשדרך מישך ועבד נגו באדין גבריא אלך היתיו קדם מלכא (Ⅴ)

Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
- Nebucadnetsar prit la parole et leur dit: Est-ce de propos délibéré, Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego, que vous ne servez pas mes dieux, et que vous n'adorez pas la statue d'or que j'ai élevée? (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Ναβουχοδονοσορ καὶ εἰ̃πεν αὐτοι̃ς εἰ ἀληθω̃ς Σεδραχ Μισαχ Αβδεναγω τοι̃ς θεοι̃ς μου οὐ λατρεύετε καὶ τη̨̃ εἰκόνι τη̨̃ χρυση̨̃ ἡ̨̃ ἔστησα οὐ προσκυνει̃τε (Ⅲ) - Pronuntiansque Nabuchodonosor rex, ait eis : Verene Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago, deos meos non colitis, et statuam auream, quam constitui, non adoratis ? (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃3 ענה נבכדנצר ואמר להון הצדא שדרך מישך ועבד נגו לאלהי לא איתיכון פלחין ולצלם דהבא די הקימת לא סגדין (Ⅴ)

Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
- Maintenant tenez-vous prêts, et au moment où vous entendrez le son de la trompette, du chalumeau, de la guitare, de la sambuque, du psaltérion, de la cornemuse, et de toutes sortes d'instruments, vous vous prosternerez et vous adorerez la statue que j'ai faite; si vous ne l'adorez pas, vous serez jetés à l'instant même au milieu d'une fournaise ardente. Et quel est le dieu qui vous délivrera de ma main? (Ⅱ) - νυ̃ν οὐ̃ν εἰ ἔχετε ἑτοίμως ἵνα ὡς ἂν ἀκούσητε τη̃ς φωνη̃ς τη̃ς σάλπιγγος σύριγγός τε καὶ κιθάρας σαμβύκης καὶ ψαλτηρίου καὶ συμφωνίας καὶ παντὸς γένους μουσικω̃ν πεσόντες προσκυνήσητε τη̨̃ εἰκόνι ἡ̨̃ ἐποίησα ἐὰν δὲ μὴ προσκυνήσητε αὐτη̨̃ τη̨̃ ὥρα̨ ἐμβληθήσεσθε εἰς τὴν κάμινον του̃ πυρὸς τὴν καιομένην καὶ τίς ἐστιν θεός ὃς ἐξελει̃ται ὑμα̃ς ἐκ τω̃ν χειρω̃ν μου (Ⅲ) - nunc ergo si estis parati, quacumque hora audieritis sonitum tubæ, fistulæ, citharæ, sambucæ, et psalterii, et symphoniæ, omnisque generis musicorum, prosternite vos, et adorate statuam, quam feci : quod si non adoraveritis, eadem hora mittemini in fornacem ignis ardentis : et quis est Deus, qui eripiet vos de manu mea ? (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃3 כען הן איתיכון עתידין די בעדנא די תשמעון קל קרנא משרוקיתא *קיתרס **קתרוס[y] שבכא פסנתרין וסומפניה וכל זני זמרא תפלון ותסגדון לצלמא די עבדת והן לא תסגדון בה שעתה תתרמון לגוא אתון נורא יקדתא ומן הוא אלה די[1] ישיזבנכון מן ידי (Ⅴ)

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
- Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego répliquèrent au roi Nebucadnetsar: Nous n'avons pas besoin de te répondre là-dessus. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν Σεδραχ Μισαχ Αβδεναγω λέγοντες τω̨̃ βασιλει̃ Ναβουχοδονοσορ οὐ χρείαν ἔχομεν ἡμει̃ς περὶ του̃ ῥήματος τούτου ἀποκριθη̃ναί σοι (Ⅲ) - Respondentes Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago, dixerunt regi Nabuchodonosor : Non oportet nos de hac re respondere tibi. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃3 ענו שדרך מישך ועבד נגו ואמרין למלכא נבוכדנצר לא חשחין אנחנה על דנה פתגם להתבותך (Ⅴ)

If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
- Voici, notre Dieu que nous servons peut nous délivrer de la fournaise ardente, et il nous délivrera de ta main, ô roi. (Ⅱ) - ἔστιν γὰρ θεός ὡ̨̃ ἡμει̃ς λατρεύομεν δυνατὸς ἐξελέσθαι ἡμα̃ς ἐκ τη̃ς καμίνου του̃ πυρὸς τη̃ς καιομένης καὶ ἐκ τω̃ν χειρω̃ν σου βασιλευ̃ ῥύσεται ἡμα̃ς (Ⅲ) - Ecce enim Deus noster, quem colimus, potest eripere nos de camino ignis ardentis, et de manibus tuis, o rex, liberare. (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃3 הן איתי אלהנא די אנחנא פלחין יכל לשיזבותנא מן אתון נורא יקדתא ומן ידך מלכא ישיזב (Ⅴ)

But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
- Simon, sache, ô roi, que nous ne servirons pas tes dieux, et que nous n'adorerons pas la statue d'or que tu as élevée. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐὰν μή γνωστὸν ἔστω σοι βασιλευ̃ ὅτι τοι̃ς θεοι̃ς σου οὐ λατρεύομεν καὶ τη̨̃ εἰκόνι τη̨̃ χρυση̨̃ ἡ̨̃ ἔστησας οὐ προσκυνου̃μεν (Ⅲ) - Quod si noluerit, notum sit tibi, rex, quia deos tuos non colimus, et statuam auream, quam erexisti, non adoramus. (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃3 והן לא ידיע להוא לך מלכא די *לאלהיך **לאלהך[q] לא *איתינא **איתנא פלחין ולצלם דהבא די הקימת לא נסגד ס (Ⅴ)

Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
- Sur quoi Nebucadnetsar fut rempli de fureur, et il changea de visage en tournant ses regards contre Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego. Il reprit la parole et ordonna de chauffer la fournaise sept fois plus qu'il ne convenait de la chauffer. (Ⅱ) - τότε Ναβουχοδονοσορ ἐπλήσθη θυμου̃ καὶ ἡ ὄψις του̃ προσώπου αὐτου̃ ἠλλοιώθη ἐπὶ Σεδραχ Μισαχ καὶ Αβδεναγω καὶ εἰ̃πεν ἐκκαυ̃σαι τὴν κάμινον ἑπταπλασίως ἕως οὑ̃ εἰς τέλος ἐκκαη̨̃ (Ⅲ) - Tunc Nabuchodonosor repletus est furore, et aspectus faciei illius immutatus est super Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago : et præcepit ut succenderetur fornax septuplum quam succendi consueverat. (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃3 באדין נבוכדנצר התמלי חמא וצלם אנפוהי *אשתנו **אשתני על שדרך מישך ועבד נגו ענה ואמר למזא לאתונא חד שבעה על די חזה למזיה (Ⅴ)

And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
- Puis il commanda à quelques-uns des plus vigoureux soldats de son armée de lier Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego, et de les jeter dans la fournaise ardente. Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
- Ces hommes furent liés avec leurs caleçons, leurs tuniques, leurs manteaux et leurs autres vêtements, et jetés au milieu de la fournaise ardente. (Ⅱ) - τότε οἱ ἄνδρες ἐκει̃νοι ἐπεδήθησαν σὺν τοι̃ς σαραβάροις αὐτω̃ν καὶ τιάραις καὶ περικνημι̃σι καὶ ἐνδύμασιν αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐβλήθησαν εἰς μέσον τη̃ς καμίνου του̃ πυρὸς τη̃ς καιομένης (Ⅲ) - Et confestim viri illi vincti, cum braccis suis, et tiaris, et calceamentis, et vestibus, missi sunt in medium fornacis ignis ardentis : (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃3 באדין גבריא אלך כפתו בסרבליהון *פטישיהון **פטשיהון[y] וכרבלתהון ולבשיהון ורמיו לגוא אתון נורא יקדתא (Ⅴ)

Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
- Comme l'ordre du roi était sévère, et que la fournaise était extraordinairement chauffée, la flamme tua les hommes qui y avaient jeté Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego. (Ⅱ) - ἐπεὶ τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃ βασιλέως ὑπερίσχυεν καὶ ἡ κάμινος ἐξεκαύθη ἐκ περισσου̃ (Ⅲ) - nam jussio regis urgebat. Fornax autem succensa erat nimis : porro viros illos, qui miserant Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago, interfecit flamma ignis. (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃3 כל קבל דנה מן די מלת מלכא מחצפה ואתונא אזה יתירא גבריא אלך די הסקו לשדרך מישך ועבד נגו קטל המון שביבא די נורא (Ⅴ)

And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
- Et ces trois hommes, Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego, tombèrent liés au milieu de la fournaise ardente. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οἱ τρει̃ς οὑ̃τοι Σεδραχ Μισαχ καὶ Αβδεναγω ἔπεσον εἰς μέσον τη̃ς καμίνου του̃ πυρὸς τη̃ς καιομένης πεπεδημένοι (Ⅲ) - Viri autem hi tres, id est, Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago, ceciderunt in medio camino ignis ardentis, colligati.\ (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃3 וגבריא אלך תלתהון שדרך מישך ועבד נגו נפלו לגוא אתון נורא יקדתא מכפתין פ (Ⅴ)

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
- Alors le roi Nebucadnetsar fut effrayé, et se leva précipitamment. Il prit la parole, et dit à ses conseillers: N'avons-nous pas jeté au milieu du feu trois hommes liés? Ils répondirent au roi: Certainement, ô roi! (Ⅱ) - καὶ περιεπάτουν ἐν μέσω̨ τη̃ς φλογὸς ὑμνου̃ντες τὸν θεὸν καὶ εὐλογου̃ντες τὸν κύριον (Ⅲ) - Tunc Nabuchodonosor rex obstupuit, et surrexit propere, et ait optimatibus suis : Nonne tres viros misimus in medium ignis compeditos ? Qui respondentes regi, dixerunt : Vere, rex. (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃3 אדין נבוכדנצר מלכא תוה וקם בהתבהלה ענה ואמר להדברוהי הלא גברין תלתא רמינא לגוא נורא מכפתין ענין ואמרין למלכא יציבא מלכא (Ⅴ)

He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
- Il reprit et dit: Eh bien, je vois quatre hommes sans liens, qui marchent au milieu du feu, et qui n'ont point de mal; et la figure du quatrième ressemble à celle d'un fils des dieux. (Ⅱ) - καὶ συστὰς Αζαριας προσηύξατο οὕτως καὶ ἀνοίξας τὸ στόμα αὐτου̃ ἐν μέσω̨ του̃ πυρὸς εἰ̃πεν (Ⅲ) - Respondit, et ait : Ecce ego video quatuor viros solutos, et ambulantes in medio ignis, et nihil corruptionis in eis est, et species quarti similis filio Dei. (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃3 ענה ואמר הא אנה חזה גברין ארבעה שרין מהלכין בגוא נורא וחבל לא איתי בהון ורוה די *רביעיא **רביעאה דמה לבר אלהין ס (Ⅴ)

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.
- Ensuite Nebucadnetsar s'approcha de l'entrée de la fournaise ardente, et prenant la parole, il dit: Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego, serviteurs du Dieu suprême, sortez et venez! Et Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego sortirent du milieu du feu. (Ⅱ) - εὐλογητὸς εἰ̃ κύριε ὁ θεὸς τω̃ν πατέρων ἡμω̃ν καὶ αἰνετός καὶ δεδοξασμένον τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς τοὺς αἰω̃νας (Ⅲ) - Tunc accessit Nabuchodonosor ad ostium fornacis ignis ardentis, et ait : Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago, servi Dei excelsi, egredimini, et venite. Statimque egressi sunt Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago de medio ignis. (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃3 באדין קרב נבוכדנצר לתרע אתון נורא יקדתא ענה ואמר שדרך מישך ועבד נגו עבדוהי די אלהא *עליא **עלאה פקו ואתו באדין נפקין שדרך מישך ועבד נגו מן גוא נורא (Ⅴ)

And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
- Les satrapes, les intendants, les gouverneurs, et les conseillers du roi s'assemblèrent; ils virent que le feu n'avait eu aucun pouvoir sur le corps de ces hommes, que les cheveux de leur tête n'avaient pas été brûlés, que leurs caleçons n'étaient point endommagés, et que l'odeur du feu ne les avait pas atteints. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι δίκαιος εἰ̃ ἐπὶ πα̃σιν οἱ̃ς ἐποίησας ἡμι̃ν καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου ἀληθινά καὶ εὐθει̃αι αἱ ὁδοί σου καὶ πα̃σαι αἱ κρίσεις σου ἀλήθεια (Ⅲ) - Et congregati satrapæ, et magistratus, et judices, et potentes regis contemplabantur viros illos, quoniam nihil potestatis habuisset ignis in corporibus eorum, et capillus capitis eorum non esset adustus, et sarabala eorum non fuissent immutata, et odor ignis non transisset per eos. (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃3 ומתכנשין אחשדרפניא סגניא ופחותא והדברי מלכא חזין לגבריא אלך די לא שלט נורא בגשמהון ושער ראשהון לא התחרך וסרבליהון לא שנו וריח נור לא עדת בהון (Ⅴ)

Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
- Nebucadnetsar prit la parole et dit: Béni soit le Dieu de Schadrac, de Méschac et d'Abed Nego, lequel a envoyé son ange et délivré ses serviteurs qui ont eu confiance en lui, et qui ont violé l'ordre du roi et livré leur corps plutôt que de servir et d'adorer aucun autre dieu que leur Dieu! (Ⅱ) - καὶ κρίματα ἀληθείας ἐποίησας κατὰ πάντα ἃ ἐπήγαγες ἡμι̃ν καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν τὴν ἁγίαν τὴν τω̃ν πατέρων ἡμω̃ν Ιερουσαλημ ὅτι ἐν ἀληθεία̨ καὶ κρίσει ἐπήγαγες πάντα ταυ̃τα διὰ τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Et erumpens Nabuchodonosor, ait : Benedictus Deus eorum, Sidrach videlicet, Misach, et Abdenago : qui misit angelum suum, et eruit servos suos, qui crediderunt in eum : et verbum regis immutaverunt, et tradiderunt corpora sua ne servirent, et ne adorarent omnem deum, excepto Deo suo. (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃3 ענה נבוכדנצר ואמר בריך אלההון די שדרך מישך ועבד נגו די שלח מלאכה ושיזב לעבדוהי די התרחצו עלוהי ומלת מלכא שניו ויהבו *גשמיהון **גשמהון[y] די לא יפלחון ולא יסגדון לכל אלה להן לאלההון (Ⅴ)

Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
- Voici maintenant l'ordre que je donne: tout homme, à quelque peuple, nation ou langue qu'il appartienne, qui parlera mal du Dieu de Schadrac, de Méschac et d'Abed Nego, sera mis en pièces, et sa maison sera réduite en un tas d'immondices, parce qu'il n'y a aucun autre dieu qui puisse délivrer comme lui. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι ἡμάρτομεν καὶ ἠνομήσαμεν ἀποστη̃ναι ἀπὸ σου̃ καὶ ἐξημάρτομεν ἐν πα̃σιν καὶ τω̃ν ἐντολω̃ν σου οὐκ ἠκούσαμεν (Ⅲ) - A me ergo positum est hoc decretum : ut omnis populus, tribus, et lingua, quæcumque locuta fuerit blasphemiam contra Deum Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago, dispereat, et domus ejus vastetur : neque enim est alius deus, qui possit ita salvare. (Ⅳ) - 29 ׃3 ומני שים טעם די כל עם אמה ולשן די יאמר *שלה **שלו על אלההון די שדרך מישך ועבד נגוא הדמין יתעבד וביתה נולי ישתוה כל קבל די לא איתי אלה אחרן די יכל להצלה כדנה (Ⅴ)

Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.
- Après cela, le roi fit prospérer Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego, dans la province de Babylone. (Ⅱ) - οὐδὲ συνετηρήσαμεν οὐδὲ ἐποιήσαμεν καθὼς ἐνετείλω ἡμι̃ν ἵνα εὐ̃ ἡμι̃ν γένηται (Ⅲ) - Tunc rex promovit Sidrach, Misach, et Abdenago in provincia Babylonis.\ (Ⅳ) - 30 ׃3 באדין מלכא הצלח לשדרך מישך ועבד נגו במדינת בבל פ (Ⅴ)
