2 ׃31 מה ברי ומה בר בטני ומה בר נדרי
- Que te dirai-je, mon fils? que te dirai-je, fils de mes entrailles? Que te dirai-je, mon fils, objet de mes voeux? (Ⅱ) - What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows? (Ⅲ) - Quid, dilecte mi ? quid, dilecte uteri mei ?/ quid, dilecte votorum meorum ?/ (Ⅴ)

3 ׃31 אל תתן לנשים חילך ודרכיך למחות מלכין
- Ne livre pas ta vigueur aux femmes, Et tes voies à celles qui perdent les rois. (Ⅱ) - Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings. (Ⅲ) - Ne dederis mulieribus substantiam tuam,/ et divitias tuas ad delendos reges./ (Ⅴ)

4 ׃31 אל למלכים למואל אל למלכים שתו יין ולרוזנים *או **אי שכר
- Ce n'est point aux rois, Lemuel, Ce n'est point aux rois de boire du vin, Ni aux princes de rechercher des liqueurs fortes, (Ⅱ) - It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: (Ⅲ) - Noli regibus, o Lamuel, noli regibus dare vinum,/ quia nullum secretum est ubi regnat ebrietas ;/ (Ⅴ)

5 ׃31 פן ישתה וישכח מחקק וישנה דין כל בני עני
- De peur qu'en buvant ils n'oublient la loi, Et ne méconnaissent les droits de tous les malheureux. (Ⅱ) - Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. (Ⅲ) - et ne forte bibant, et obliviscantur judiciorum,/ et mutent causam filiorum pauperis./ (Ⅴ)

6 ׃31 תנו שכר לאובד ויין למרי נפש
- Donnez des liqueurs fortes à celui qui périt, Et du vin à celui qui a l'amertume dans l'âme; (Ⅱ) - Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. (Ⅲ) - Date siceram mœrentibus,/ et vinum his qui amaro sunt animo./ (Ⅴ)

7 ׃31 ישתה וישכח רישו ועמלו לא יזכר עוד
- Qu'il boive et oublie sa pauvreté, Et qu'il ne se souvienne plus de ses peines. (Ⅱ) - Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. (Ⅲ) - Bibant, et obliviscantur egestatis suæ,/ et doloris sui non recordentur amplius./ (Ⅴ)

8 ׃31 פתח פיך לאלם אל דין כל בני חלוף
- Ouvre ta bouche pour le muet, Pour la cause de tous les délaissés. (Ⅱ) - Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. (Ⅲ) - Aperi os tuum muto,/ et causis omnium filiorum qui pertranseunt./ (Ⅴ)

9 ׃31 פתח פיך שפט צדק ודין עני ואביון פ
- Ouvre ta bouche, juge avec justice, Et défends le malheureux et l'indigent. (Ⅱ) - Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy. (Ⅲ) - Aperi os tuum, decerne quod justum est,/ et judica inopem et pauperem.]\ (Ⅴ)

10 ׃31 אשת חיל מי ימצא ורחק מפנינים מכרה
- Qui peut trouver une femme vertueuse? Elle a bien plus de valeur que les perles. (Ⅱ) - Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. (Ⅲ) - Mulierem fortem quis inveniet ?/ procul et de ultimis finibus pretium ejus./ (Ⅴ)

11 ׃31 בטח בה לב בעלה ושלל לא יחסר
- Le coeur de son mari a confiance en elle, Et les produits ne lui feront pas défaut. (Ⅱ) - The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. (Ⅲ) - Confidit in ea cor viri sui,/ et spoliis non indigebit./ (Ⅴ)

12 ׃31 גמלתהו טוב ולא רע כל ימי חייה[U]
- Elle lui fait du bien, et non du mal, Tous les jours de sa vie. (Ⅱ) - She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. (Ⅲ) - Reddet ei bonum, et non malum,/ omnibus diebus vitæ suæ./ (Ⅴ)

13 ׃31 דרשה צמר ופשתים ותעש בחפץ כפיה
- Elle se procure de la laine et du lin, Et travaille d'une main joyeuse. (Ⅱ) - She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. (Ⅲ) - Quæsivit lanam et linum,/ et operata est consilia manuum suarum./ (Ⅴ)

14 ׃31 היתה כאניות סוחר ממרחק תביא לחמה
- Elle est comme un navire marchand, Elle amène son pain de loin. (Ⅱ) - She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. (Ⅲ) - Facta est quasi navis institoris,/ de longe portans panem suum./ (Ⅴ)

15 ׃31 ותקם בעוד לילה ותתן טרף לביתה וחק לנערתיה
- Elle se lève lorsqu'il est encore nuit, Et elle donne la nourriture à sa maison Et la tâche à ses servantes. (Ⅱ) - She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. (Ⅲ) - Et de nocte surrexit,/ deditque prædam domesticis suis,/ et cibaria ancillis suis./ (Ⅴ)

16 ׃31 זממה שדה ותקחהו מפרי כפיה *נטע **נטעה כרם
- Elle pense à un champ, et elle l'acquiert; Du fruit de son travail elle plante une vigne. (Ⅱ) - She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. (Ⅲ) - Consideravit agrum, et emit eum ;/ de fructu manuum suarum plantavit vineam./ (Ⅴ)

17 ׃31 חגרה בעוז מתניה ותאמץ זרעותיה
- Elle ceint de force ses reins, Et elle affermit ses bras. (Ⅱ) - She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. (Ⅲ) - Accinxit fortitudine lumbos suos,/ et roboravit brachium suum./ (Ⅴ)

18 ׃31 טעמה כי טוב סחרה לא יכבה *בליל **בלילה נרה
- Elle sent que ce qu'elle gagne est bon; Sa lampe ne s'éteint point pendant la nuit. (Ⅱ) - She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. (Ⅲ) - Gustavit, et vidit quia bona est negotiatio ejus ;/ non extinguetur in nocte lucerna ejus./ (Ⅴ)

19 ׃31 ידיה שלחה בכישור וכפיה תמכו פלך
- Elle met la main à la quenouille, Et ses doigts tiennent le fuseau. (Ⅱ) - She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. (Ⅲ) - Manum suam misit ad fortia,/ et digiti ejus apprehenderunt fusum./ (Ⅴ)

20 ׃31 כפה פרשה לעני וידיה שלחה לאביון
- Elle tend la main au malheureux, Elle tend la main à l'indigent. (Ⅱ) - She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. (Ⅲ) - Manum suam aperuit inopi,/ et palmas suas extendit ad pauperem./ (Ⅴ)

21 ׃31 לא תירא לביתה משלג כי כל ביתה לבש שנים
- Elle ne craint pas la neige pour sa maison, Car toute sa maison est vêtue de cramoisi. (Ⅱ) - She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. (Ⅲ) - Non timebit domui suæ a frigoribus nivis ;/ omnes enim domestici ejus vestiti sunt duplicibus./ (Ⅴ)

22 ׃31 מרבדים עשתה לה שש וארגמן לבושה
- Elle se fait des couvertures, Elle a des vêtements de fin lin et de pourpre. (Ⅱ) - She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. (Ⅲ) - Stragulatam vestem fecit sibi ;/ byssus et purpura indumentum ejus./ (Ⅴ)

23 ׃31 נודע בשערים בעלה בשבתו עם זקני ארץ
- Son mari est considéré aux portes, Lorsqu'il siège avec les anciens du pays. (Ⅱ) - Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. (Ⅲ) - Nobilis in portis vir ejus,/ quando sederit cum senatoribus terræ./ (Ⅴ)

24 ׃31 סדין עשתה ותמכר וחגור נתנה לכנעני
- Elle fait des chemises, et les vend, Et elle livre des ceintures au marchand. (Ⅱ) - She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. (Ⅲ) - Sindonem fecit, et vendidit,/ et cingulum tradidit Chananæo./ (Ⅴ)

25 ׃31 עז והדר לבושה ותשחק ליום אחרון
- Elle est revêtue de force et de gloire, Et elle se rit de l'avenir. (Ⅱ) - Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. (Ⅲ) - Fortitudo et decor indumentum ejus,/ et ridebit in die novissimo./ (Ⅴ)

26 ׃31 פיה פתחה בחכמה ותורת חסד על לשונה
- Elle ouvre la bouche avec sagesse, Et des instructions aimables sont sur sa langue. (Ⅱ) - She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. (Ⅲ) - Os suum aperuit sapientiæ,/ et lex clementiæ in lingua ejus./ (Ⅴ)

27 ׃31 צופיה הליכות ביתה ולחם עצלות לא תאכל
- Elle veille sur ce qui se passe dans sa maison, Et elle ne mange pas le pain de paresse. (Ⅱ) - She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. (Ⅲ) - Consideravit semitas domus suæ,/ et panem otiosa non comedit./ (Ⅴ)

28 ׃31 קמו בניה ויאשרוה בעלה ויהללה[Q][c][n]
- Ses fils se lèvent, et la disent heureuse; Son mari se lève, et lui donne des louanges: (Ⅱ) - Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. (Ⅲ) - Surrexerunt filii ejus, et beatissimam prædicaverunt ;/ vir ejus, et laudavit eam./ (Ⅴ)

29 ׃31 רבות בנות עשו חיל ואת עלית על כלנה
- Plusieurs filles ont une conduite vertueuse; Mais toi, tu les surpasses toutes. (Ⅱ) - Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. (Ⅲ) - Multæ filiæ congregaverunt divitias ;/ tu supergressa es universas./ (Ⅴ)

30 ׃31 שקר החן והבל היפי אשה יראת יהוה היא תתהלל
- La grâce est trompeuse, et la beauté est vaine; La femme qui craint l'Éternel est celle qui sera louée. (Ⅱ) - Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. (Ⅲ) - Fallax gratia, et vana est pulchritudo :/ mulier timens Dominum, ipsa laudabitur./ (Ⅴ)

31 ׃31 תנו לה מפרי ידיה ויהללוה בשערים מעשיה
- Récompensez-la du fruit de son travail, Et qu'aux portes ses oeuvres la louent. (Ⅱ) - Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. (Ⅲ) - Date ei de fructu manuum suarum,/ et laudent eam in portis opera ejus.] (Ⅴ)
