In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
- En ce temps-là, Ézéchias fut malade à la mort. Le prophète Ésaïe, fils d'Amots, vint auprès de lui, et lui dit: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Donne tes ordres à ta maison, car tu vas mourir, et tu ne vivras plus. (Ⅱ) - ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ ἐμαλακίσθη Εζεκιας ἕως θανάτου καὶ ἠ̃λθεν πρὸς αὐτὸν Ησαιας υἱὸς Αμως ὁ προφήτης καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρὸς αὐτόν τάδε λέγει κύριος τάξαι περὶ του̃ οἴκου σου ἀποθνή̨σκεις γὰρ σὺ καὶ οὐ ζήση̨ (Ⅲ) - In diebus illis ægrotavit Ezechias usque ad mortem ; et introivit ad eum Isaias, filius Amos, propheta, et dixit ei : Hæc dicit Dominus : Dispone domui tuæ, quia morieris tu, et non vives. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃38 בימים ההם חלה חזקיהו למות ויבוא אליו ישעיהו בן אמוץ הנביא ויאמר אליו כה אמר יהוה צו לביתך כי מת אתה ולא תחיה (Ⅴ)

Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD,
- Ézéchias tourna son visage contre le mur, et fit cette prière à l'Éternel: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν Εζεκιας τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτου̃ πρὸς τὸν τοι̃χον καὶ προσηύξατο πρὸς κύριον (Ⅲ) - Et convertit Ezechias faciem suam ad parietem, et oravit ad Dominum, (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃38 ויסב חזקיהו פניו אל הקיר ויתפלל אל יהוה (Ⅴ)

And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
- O Éternel! souviens-toi que j'ai marché devant ta face avec fidélité et intégrité de coeur, et que j'ai fait ce qui est bien à tes yeux! Et Ézéchias répandit d'abondantes larmes. (Ⅱ) - λέγων μνήσθητι κύριε ὡς ἐπορεύθην ἐνώπιόν σου μετὰ ἀληθείας ἐν καρδία̨ ἀληθινη̨̃ καὶ τὰ ἀρεστὰ ἐνώπιόν σου ἐποίησα καὶ ἔκλαυσεν Εζεκιας κλαυθμω̨̃ μεγάλω̨ (Ⅲ) - et dixit : Obsecro, Domine, memento, quæso, quomodo ambulaverim coram te in veritate et in corde perfecto, et quod bonum est in oculis tuis fecerim. Et flevit Ezechias fletu magno. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃38 ויאמר אנה יהוה זכר נא את אשר התהלכתי לפניך באמת ובלב שלם והטוב בעיניך עשיתי ויבך חזקיהו בכי גדול ס (Ⅴ)

Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,
- Puis la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Ésaïe, en ces mots: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ησαιαν λέγων (Ⅲ) - Et factum est verbum Domini ad Isaiam, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃38 ויהי דבר יהוה אל ישעיהו לאמר (Ⅴ)

Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
- Va, et dis à Ézéchias: Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu de David, ton père: J'ai entendu ta prière, j'ai vu tes larmes. Voici, j'ajouterai à tes jours quinze années. (Ⅱ) - πορεύθητι καὶ εἰπὸν Εζεκια τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Δαυιδ του̃ πατρός σου ἤκουσα τη̃ς φωνη̃ς τη̃ς προσευχη̃ς σου καὶ εἰ̃δον τὰ δάκρυά σου ἰδοὺ προστίθημι πρὸς τὸν χρόνον σου ἔτη δέκα πέντε (Ⅲ) - Vade, et dic Ezechiæ : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus David patris tui : Audivi orationem tuam, et vidi lacrimas tuas ; ecce ego adjiciam super dies tuos quindecim annos, (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃38 הלוך ואמרת אל חזקיהו כה אמר יהוה אלהי דוד אביך שמעתי את תפלתך ראיתי את דמעתך הנני יוסף על ימיך חמש עשרה שנה (Ⅴ)

And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.
- Je te délivrerai, toi et cette ville, de la main du roi d'Assyrie; je protégerai cette ville. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐκ χειρὸς βασιλέως 'Ασσυρίων σώσω σε καὶ ὑπὲρ τη̃ς πόλεως ταύτης ὑπερασπιω̃ (Ⅲ) - et de manu regis Assyriorum eruam te, et civitatem istam, et protegam eam. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃38 ומכף מלך אשור אצילך ואת העיר הזאת וגנותי על העיר הזאת (Ⅴ)

And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;
- Et voici, de la part de l'Éternel, le signe auquel tu connaîtras que l'Éternel accomplira la parole qu'il a prononcée. (Ⅱ) - του̃το δέ σοι τὸ σημει̃ον παρὰ κυρίου ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ποιήσει τὸ ῥη̃μα του̃το (Ⅲ) - Hoc autem tibi erit signum a Domino, quia faciet Dominus verbum hoc quod locutus est : (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃38 וזה לך האות מאת יהוה אשר יעשה יהוה את הדבר הזה אשר דבר (Ⅴ)

Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
- Je ferai reculer de dix degrés en arrière avec le soleil l'ombre des degrés qui est descendue sur les degrés d'Achaz. Et le soleil recula de dix degrés sur les degrés où il était descendu. (Ⅱ) - τὴν σκιὰν τω̃ν ἀναβαθμω̃ν οὓς κατέβη ὁ ἥλιος τοὺς δέκα ἀναβαθμοὺς του̃ οἴκου του̃ πατρός σου ἀποστρέψω τὸν ἥλιον τοὺς δέκα ἀναβαθμούς καὶ ἀνέβη ὁ ἥλιος τοὺς δέκα ἀναβαθμούς οὓς κατέβη ἡ σκιά (Ⅲ) - ecce ego reverti faciam umbram linearum per quas descenderat in horologio Achaz in sole, retrorsum decem lineis. Et reversus est sol decem lineis per gradus quos descenderat.\ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃38 הנני משיב את צל המעלות אשר ירדה במעלות אחז בשמש אחרנית עשר מעלות ותשב השמש עשר מעלות במעלות אשר ירדה ס (Ⅴ)

The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:
- Cantique d'Ézéchias, roi de Juda, sur sa maladie et sur son rétablissement. (Ⅱ) - προσευχὴ Εζεκιου βασιλέως τη̃ς Ιουδαίας ἡνίκα ἐμαλακίσθη καὶ ἀνέστη ἐκ τη̃ς μαλακίας αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Scriptura Ezechiæ, regis Juda, cum ægrotasset et convaluisset de infirmitate sua. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃38 מכתב לחזקיהו מלך יהודה בחלתו ויחי מחליו (Ⅴ)

I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.
- Je disais: Quand mes jours sont en repos, je dois m'en aller Aux portes du séjour des morts. Je suis privé du reste de mes années! (Ⅱ) - ἐγὼ εἰ̃πα ἐν τω̨̃ ὕψει τω̃ν ἡμερω̃ν μου ἐν πύλαις ἅ̨δου καταλείψω τὰ ἔτη τὰ ἐπίλοιπα (Ⅲ) - Ego dixi in dimidio dierum meorum :/ Vadam ad portas inferi ;/ quæsivi residuum annorum meorum./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃38 אני אמרתי בדמי ימי אלכה בשערי שאול פקדתי יתר שנותי (Ⅴ)

I said, I shall not see the LORD, even the LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
- Je disais: Je ne verrai plus l'Éternel, L'Éternel, sur la terre des vivants; Je ne verrai plus aucun homme Parmi les habitants du monde! (Ⅱ) - εἰ̃πα οὐκέτι μὴ ἴδω τὸ σωτήριον του̃ θεου̃ ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς οὐκέτι μὴ ἴδω ἄνθρωπον (Ⅲ) - Dixi : Non videbo Dominum Deum/ in terra viventium ;/ non aspiciam hominem ultra,/ et habitatorem quietis./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃38 אמרתי לא אראה יה יה בארץ החיים לא אביט אדם עוד עם יושבי חדל (Ⅴ)

Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd's tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
- Ma demeure est enlevée et transportée loin de moi, Comme une tente de berger; Je sens le fil de ma vie coupé comme par un tisserand Qui me retrancherait de sa trame. Du jour à la nuit tu m'auras achevé! (Ⅱ) - ἐκ τη̃ς συγγενείας μου κατέλιπον τὸ λοιπὸν τη̃ς ζωη̃ς μου ἐξη̃λθεν καὶ ἀπη̃λθεν ἀπ' ἐμου̃ ὥσπερ ὁ καταλύων σκηνὴν πήξας τὸ πνευ̃μά μου παρ' ἐμοὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἱστὸς ἐρίθου ἐγγιζούσης ἐκτεμει̃ν ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἐκείνη̨ παρεδόθην (Ⅲ) - Generatio mea ablata est, et convoluta est a me,/ quasi tabernaculum pastorum./ Præcisa est velut a texente vita mea ;/ dum adhuc ordirer, succidit me :/ de mane usque ad vesperam finies me./ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃38 דורי נסע ונגלה מני כאהל רעי קפדתי כארג חיי מדלה יבצעני מיום עד לילה תשלימני (Ⅴ)

I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
- Je me suis contenu jusqu'au matin; Comme un lion, il brisait tous mes os, Du jour à la nuit tu m'auras achevé! (Ⅱ) - ἕως πρωὶ ὡς λέοντι οὕτως τὰ ὀστα̃ μου συνέτριψεν ἀπὸ γὰρ τη̃ς ἡμέρας ἕως τη̃ς νυκτὸς παρεδόθην (Ⅲ) - Sperabam usque ad mane ;/ quasi leo, sic contrivit omnia ossa mea :/ de mane usque ad vesperam finies me./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃38 שויתי עד בקר כארי כן ישבר כל עצמותי מיום עד לילה תשלימני (Ⅴ)

Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
- Je poussais des cris comme une hirondelle en voltigeant, Je gémissais comme la colombe; Mes yeux s'élevaient languissants vers le ciel: O Éternel! je suis dans l'angoisse, secours-moi! (Ⅱ) - ὡς χελιδών οὕτως φωνήσω καὶ ὡς περιστερά οὕτως μελετήσω ἐξέλιπον γάρ μου οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ του̃ βλέπειν εἰς τὸ ὕψος του̃ οὐρανου̃ πρὸς τὸν κύριον ὃς ἐξείλατό με (Ⅲ) - Sicut pullus hirundinis, sic clamabo ;/ meditabor ut columba./ Attenuati sunt oculi mei, suspicientes in excelsum./ Domine, vim patior : responde pro me./ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃38 כסוס עגור כן אצפצף אהגה כיונה דלו עיני למרום אדני עשקה לי ערבני (Ⅴ)

What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it: I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.
- Que dirai-je? Il m'a répondu, et il m'a exaucé. Je marcherai humblement jusqu'au terme de mes années, Après avoir été ainsi affligé. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀφείλατό μου τὴν ὀδύνην τη̃ς ψυχη̃ς (Ⅲ) - Quid dicam, aut quid respondebit mihi,/ cum ipse fecerit ?/ Recogitabo tibi omnes annos meos/ in amaritudine animæ meæ./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃38 מה אדבר ואמר לי והוא עשה אדדה כל שנותי על מר נפשי (Ⅴ)

O LORD, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.
- Seigneur, c'est par tes bontés qu'on jouit de la vie, C'est par elles que je respire encore; Tu me rétablis, tu me rends à la vie. (Ⅱ) - κύριε περὶ αὐτη̃ς γὰρ ἀνηγγέλη σοι καὶ ἐξήγειράς μου τὴν πνοήν καὶ παρακληθεὶς ἔζησα (Ⅲ) - Domine, si sic vivitur,/ et in talibus vita spiritus mei,/ corripies me, et vivificabis me./ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃38 אדני עליהם יחיו ולכל בהן חיי רוחי ותחלימני והחיני (Ⅴ)

Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
- Voici, mes souffrances mêmes sont devenues mon salut; Tu as pris plaisir à retirer mon âme de la fosse du néant, Car tu as jeté derrière toi tous mes péchés. (Ⅱ) - εἵλου γάρ μου τὴν ψυχήν ἵνα μὴ ἀπόληται καὶ ἀπέρριψας ὀπίσω μου πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας μου (Ⅲ) - Ecce in pace amaritudo mea amarissima./ Tu autem eruisti animam meam/ ut non periret ;/ projecisti post tergum tuum/ omnia peccata mea./ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃38 הנה לשלום מר לי מר ואתה חשקת נפשי משחת בלי כי השלכת אחרי גוך כל חטאי (Ⅴ)

For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
- Ce n'est pas le séjour des morts qui te loue, Ce n'est pas la mort qui te célèbre; Ceux qui sont descendus dans la fosse n'espèrent plus en ta fidélité. (Ⅱ) - οὐ γὰρ οἱ ἐν ἅ̨δου αἰνέσουσίν σε οὐδὲ οἱ ἀποθανόντες εὐλογήσουσίν σε οὐδὲ ἐλπιου̃σιν οἱ ἐν ἅ̨δου τὴν ἐλεημοσύνην σου (Ⅲ) - Quia non infernus confitebitur tibi,/ neque mors laudabit te :/ non exspectabunt qui descendunt in lacum/ veritatem tuam./ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃38 כי לא שאול תודך מות יהללך לא ישברו יורדי בור אל אמתך (Ⅴ)

The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
- Le vivant, le vivant, c'est celui-là qui te loue, Comme moi aujourd'hui; Le père fait connaître à ses enfants ta fidélité. (Ⅱ) - οἱ ζω̃ντως εὐλογήσουσίν σε ὃν τρόπον κἀγώ ἀπὸ γὰρ τη̃ς σήμερον παιδία ποιήσω ἃ ἀναγγελου̃σιν τὴν δικαιοσύνην σου (Ⅲ) - Vivens, vivens ipse confitebitur tibi,/ sicut et ego hodie ;/ pater filiis notam faciet/ veritatem tuam./ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃38 חי חי הוא יודך כמוני היום אב לבנים יודיע אל אמתך (Ⅴ)

The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.
- L'Éternel m'a sauvé! Nous ferons résonner les cordes de nos instruments, Tous les jours de notre vie, Dans la maison de l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - κύριε τη̃ς σωτηρίας μου καὶ οὐ παύσομαι εὐλογω̃ν σε μετὰ ψαλτηρίου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τη̃ς ζωη̃ς μου κατέναντι του̃ οἴκου του̃ θεου̃ (Ⅲ) - Domine, salvum me fac !/ et psalmos nostros cantabimus/ cunctis diebus vitæ nostræ/ in domo Domini.] (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃38 יהוה להושיעני ונגנותי ננגן כל ימי חיינו על בית יהוה (Ⅴ)

For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.
- Ésaïe avait dit: Qu'on apporte une masse de figues, et qu'on les étende sur l'ulcère; et Ézéchias vivra. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Ησαιας πρὸς Εζεκιαν λαβὲ παλάθην ἐκ σύκων καὶ τρι̃ψον καὶ κατάπλασαι καὶ ὑγιὴς ἔση̨ (Ⅲ) - Et jussit Isaias ut tollerent massam de ficis, et cataplasmarent super vulnus, et sanaretur. (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃38 ויאמר ישעיהו ישאו דבלת תאנים וימרחו על השחין ויחי (Ⅴ)

Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?
- Et Ézéchias avait dit: A quel signe connaîtrai-je que je monterai à la maison de l'Éternel? (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν Εζεκιας του̃το τὸ σημει̃ον ὅτι ἀναβήσομαι εἰς τὸν οἰ̃κον κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ (Ⅲ) - Et dixit Ezechias : Quod erit signum quia ascendam in domum Domini ? (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃38 ויאמר חזקיהו מה אות כי אעלה בית יהוה ס (Ⅴ)
