Anno nono Sedeciæ regis Juda, mense decimo, venit Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis, et omnis exercitus ejus, ad Jerusalem, et obsidebant eam.
- Lorsque Jérusalem fut prise, -la neuvième année de Sédécias, roi de Juda, le dixième mois, Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, vint avec toute son armée devant Jérusalem, et en fit le siège; (Ⅱ) - In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem, and they besieged it. (Ⅲ) - 1 ׃39 בשנה התשעית לצדקיהו מלך יהודה בחדש העשרי בא נבוכדראצר מלך בבל וכל חילו אל ירושלם ויצרו עליה ס (Ⅴ)

Undecimo autem anno Sedeciæ, mense quarto, quinta mensis, aperta est civitas :
- la onzième année de Sédécias, le neuvième jour du quatrième mois, la brèche fut faite à la ville, - (Ⅱ) - And in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, the ninth day of the month, the city was broken up. (Ⅲ) - 2 ׃39 בעשתי עשרה שנה לצדקיהו בחדש הרביעי בתשעה לחדש הבקעה העיר (Ⅴ)

et ingressi sunt omnes principes regis Babylonis, et sederunt in porta media : Neregel, Sereser, Semegarnabu, Sarsachim, Rabsares, Neregel, Sereser, Rebmag, et omnes reliqui principes regis Babylonis.
- tous les chefs du roi de Babylone s'avancèrent, et occupèrent la porte du milieu: Nergal Scharetser, Samgar Nebu, Sarsekim, chef des eunuques, Nergal Scharetser, chef des mages, et tous les autres chefs du roi de Babylone. (Ⅱ) - And all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat in the middle gate, even Nergalsharezer, Samgarnebo, Sarsechim, Rabsaris, Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, with all the residue of the princes of the king of Babylon. (Ⅲ) - 3 ׃39 ויבאו כל שרי מלך בבל וישבו בשער התוך נרגל שר אצר סמגר נבו שר סכים רב סריס נרגל שר אצר רב מג וכל שארית שרי מלך בבל (Ⅴ)

Cumque vidisset eos Sedecias rex Juda, et omnes viri bellatores, fugerunt : et egressi sunt nocte de civitate per viam horti regis, et per portam quæ erat inter duos muros, et egressi sunt ad viam deserti.
- Dès que Sédécias, roi de Juda, et tous les gens de guerre les eurent vus, ils s'enfuirent, et sortirent de la ville pendant la nuit par le chemin du jardin du roi, par la porte entre les deux murs, et ils prirent le chemin de la plaine. (Ⅱ) - And it came to pass, that when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them, and all the men of war, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king's garden, by the gate betwixt the two walls: and he went out the way of the plain. (Ⅲ) - 4 ׃39 ויהי כאשר ראם צדקיהו מלך יהודה וכל אנשי המלחמה ויברחו ויצאו לילה מן העיר דרך גן המלך בשער בין החמתים ויצא דרך הערבה (Ⅴ)

Persecutus est autem eos exercitus Chaldæorum, et comprehenderunt Sedeciam in campo solitudinis Jerichontinæ, et captum adduxerunt ad Nabuchodonosor regem Babylonis, in Reblatha, quæ est in terra Emath : et locutus est ad eum judicia.
- Mais l'armée des Chaldéens les poursuivit, et atteignit Sédécias dans les plaines de Jéricho. Ils le prirent, et le firent monter vers Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, à Ribla, dans le pays de Hamath; et il prononça contre lui une sentence. (Ⅱ) - But the Chaldeans' army pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he gave judgment upon him. (Ⅲ) - 5 ׃39 וירדפו חיל כשדים אחריהם וישגו את צדקיהו בערבות ירחו ויקחו אתו ויעלהו אל נבוכדראצר מלך בבל רבלתה בארץ חמת וידבר אתו משפטים (Ⅴ)

Et occidit rex Babylonis filios Sedeciæ in Reblatha, in oculis ejus : et omnes nobiles Juda occidit rex Babylonis.
- Le roi de Babylone fit égorger à Ribla les fils de Sédécias en sa présence; le roi de Babylone fit aussi égorger tous les grands de Juda. (Ⅱ) - Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Judah. (Ⅲ) - 6 ׃39 וישחט מלך בבל את בני צדקיהו ברבלה לעיניו ואת כל חרי יהודה שחט מלך בבל (Ⅴ)

Oculos quoque Sedeciæ eruit, et vinxit eum compedibus ut duceretur in Babylonem.
- Puis il fit crever les yeux à Sédécias, et le fit lier avec des chaînes d'airain, pour l'emmener à Babylone. (Ⅱ) - Moreover he put out Zedekiah's eyes, and bound him with chains, to carry him to Babylon. (Ⅲ) - 7 ׃39 ואת עיני צדקיהו עור ויאסרהו בנחשתים לביא אתו בבלה (Ⅴ)

Domum quoque regis et domum vulgi succenderunt Chaldæi igni, et murum Jerusalem subverterunt.
- Les Chaldéens brûlèrent par le feu la maison du roi et les maisons du peuple, et ils démolirent les murailles de Jérusalem. (Ⅱ) - And the Chaldeans burned the king's house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and brake down the walls of Jerusalem. (Ⅲ) - 8 ׃39 ואת בית המלך ואת בית העם שרפו הכשדים באש ואת חמות ירושלם נתצו (Ⅴ)

Et reliquias populi qui remanserant in civitate, et perfugas qui transfugerant ad eum, et superfluos vulgi qui remanserant, transtulit Nabuzardan, magister militum, in Babylonem.
- Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, emmena captifs à Babylone ceux du peuple qui étaient demeurés dans la ville, ceux qui s'étaient rendus à lui, et le reste du peuple. (Ⅱ) - Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the remnant of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to him, with the rest of the people that remained. (Ⅲ) - 9 ׃39 ואת יתר העם הנשארים בעיר ואת הנפלים אשר נפלו עליו ואת יתר העם הנשארים הגלה נבוזר אדן[1] רב טבחים בבל (Ⅴ)

Et de plebe pauperum, qui nihil penitus habebant, dimisit Nabuzardan magister militum in terra Juda, et dedit eis vineas et cisternas in die illa.
- Mais Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, laissa dans le pays de Juda quelques-uns des plus pauvres du peuple, ceux qui n'avaient rien; et il leur donna alors des vignes et des champs. (Ⅱ) - But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time. (Ⅲ) - 10 ׃39 ומן העם הדלים אשר אין להם מאומה השאיר נבוזראדן רב טבחים בארץ יהודה ויתן להם כרמים ויגבים ביום ההוא (Ⅴ)

Præceperat autem Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis de Jeremia Nabuzardan magistro militum, dicens :
- Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, avait donné cet ordre au sujet de Jérémie par Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes: (Ⅱ) - Now Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, saying, (Ⅲ) - 11 ׃39 ויצו נבוכדראצר מלך בבל על ירמיהו ביד נבוזראדן רב טבחים לאמר (Ⅴ)

Tolle illum, et pone super eum oculos tuos, nihilque ei mali facias : sed ut voluerit, sic facias ei.
- Prends-le, et veille sur lui; ne lui fais aucun mal, mais agis à son égard comme il te dira. (Ⅱ) - Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do unto him even as he shall say unto thee. (Ⅲ) - 12 ׃39 קחנו ועיניך שים עליו ואל תעש לו מאומה רע כי *אם כאשר ידבר אליך כן עשה עמו (Ⅴ)

Misit ergo Nabuzardan princeps militiæ, et Nabusezban, et Rabsares, et Neregel, et Sereser, et Rebmag, et omnes optimates regis Babylonis,
- Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, Nebuschazban, chef des eunuques, Nergal Scharetser, chef des mages, et tous les chefs du roi de Babylone, (Ⅱ) - So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushasban, Rabsaris, and Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, and all the king of Babylon's princes; (Ⅲ) - 13 ׃39 וישלח נבוזראדן רב טבחים ונבושזבן[6] רב סריס ונרגל שר אצר רב מג וכל רבי מלך בבל (Ⅴ)

miserunt, et tulerunt Jeremiam de vestibulo carceris, et tradiderunt eum Godoliæ filio Ahicam filii Saphan, ut intraret in domum, et habitaret in populo.
- envoyèrent chercher Jérémie dans la cour de la prison, et ils le remirent à Guedalia, fils d'Achikam, fils de Schaphan, pour qu'il fût conduit dans sa maison. Et il resta au milieu du peuple. (Ⅱ) - Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people. (Ⅲ) - 14 ׃39 וישלחו ויקחו את ירמיהו מחצר המטרה ויתנו אתו אל גדליהו בן אחיקם בן שפן להוצאהו אל הבית וישב בתוך העם ס (Ⅴ)

Ad Jeremiam autem factus fuerat sermo Domini, cum clausus esset in vestibulo carceris, dicens :
- La parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Jérémie en ces mots, pendant qu'il était enfermé dans la cour de la prison: (Ⅱ) - Now the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the prison, saying, (Ⅲ) - 15 ׃39 ואל ירמיהו היה דבר יהוה בהיתו עצור בחצר המטרה לאמר (Ⅴ)

Vade, et dic Abdemelech Æthiopi, dicens : Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël : Ecce ego inducam sermones meos super civitatem hanc in malum, et non in bonum, et erunt in conspectu tuo in die illa.
- Va, parle à Ébed Mélec, l'Éthiopien, et dis-lui: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici, je vais faire venir sur cette ville les choses que j'ai annoncées pour le mal et non pour le bien; elles arriveront en ce jour devant toi. (Ⅱ) - Go and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee. (Ⅲ) - 16 ׃39 הלוך ואמרת לעבד מלך[v] הכושי לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל הנני *מבי **מביא את דברי אל העיר הזאת לרעה ולא לטובה והיו לפניך ביום ההוא (Ⅴ)

Et liberabo te in die illa, ait Dominus, et non traderis in manus virorum quos tu formidas :
- Mais en ce jour je te délivrerai, dit l'Éternel, et tu ne seras pas livré entre les mains des hommes que tu crains. (Ⅱ) - But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid. (Ⅲ) - 17 ׃39 והצלתיך ביום ההוא נאם יהוה ולא תנתן ביד האנשים אשר אתה יגור מפניהם (Ⅴ)

sed eruens liberabo te, et gladio non cades, sed erit tibi anima tua in salutem, quia in me habuisti fiduciam, ait Dominus.
- Je te sauverai, et tu ne tomberas pas sous l'épée; ta vie sera ton butin, parce que tu as eu confiance en moi, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD. (Ⅲ) - 18 ׃39 כי מלט אמלטך ובחרב לא תפל והיתה לך נפשך לשלל כי בטחת בי נאם יהוה ס (Ⅴ)
