Et nunc, Israël, audi præcepta et judicia, quæ ego doceo te : ut faciens ea, vivas, et ingrediens possideas terram, quam Dominus Deus patrum vestrorum daturus est vobis.
- Maintenant, Israël, écoute les lois et les ordonnances que je vous enseigne. Mettez-les en pratique, afin que vous viviez, et que vous entriez en possession du pays que vous donne l'Éternel, le Dieu de vos pères. (Ⅱ) - Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. (Ⅲ) - καὶ νυ̃ν Ισραηλ ἄκουε τω̃ν δικαιωμάτων καὶ τω̃ν κριμάτων ὅσα ἐγὼ διδάσκω ὑμα̃ς σήμερον ποιει̃ν ἵνα ζη̃τε καὶ πολυπλασιασθη̃τε καὶ εἰσελθόντες κληρονομήσητε τὴν γη̃ν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τω̃ν πατέρων ὑμω̃ν δίδωσιν ὑμι̃ν (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃4 ועתה ישראל שמע אל החקים ואל המשפטים אשר אנכי מלמד אתכם לעשות למען תחיו ובאתם וירשתם את הארץ אשר יהוה אלהי אבתיכם נתן לכם (Ⅴ)

Non addetis ad verbum, quod vobis loquor, nec auferetis ex eo : custodite mandata Domini Dei vestri, quæ ego præcipio vobis.
- Vous n'ajouterez rien à ce que je vous prescris, et vous n'en retrancherez rien; mais vous observerez les commandements de l'Éternel, votre Dieu, tels que je vous les prescris. (Ⅱ) - Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. (Ⅲ) - οὐ προσθήσετε πρὸς τὸ ῥη̃μα ὃ ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαι ὑμι̃ν καὶ οὐκ ἀφελει̃τε ἀπ' αὐτου̃ φυλάσσεσθε τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ὑμω̃ν ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαι ὑμι̃ν σήμερον (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃4 לא תספו על הדבר אשר אנכי מצוה אתכם ולא תגרעו ממנו לשמר את מצות יהוה אלהיכם אשר אנכי מצוה אתכם (Ⅴ)

Oculi vestri viderunt omnia quæ fecit Dominus contra Beelphegor, quomodo contriverit omnes cultores ejus de medio vestri.
- Vos yeux ont vu ce que l'Éternel a fait à l'occasion de Baal Peor: l'Éternel, ton Dieu, a détruit du milieu de toi tous ceux qui étaient allés après Baal Peor. (Ⅱ) - Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you. (Ⅲ) - οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμω̃ν ἑωράκασιν πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν τω̨̃ Βεελφεγωρ ὅτι πα̃ς ἄνθρωπος ὅστις ἐπορεύθη ὀπίσω Βεελφεγωρ ἐξέτριψεν αὐτὸν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμω̃ν ἐξ ὑμω̃ν (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃4 עיניכם הראת את אשר עשה יהוה בבעל פעור כי כל האיש אשר הלך אחרי בעל פעור השמידו יהוה אלהיך מקרבך (Ⅴ)

Vos autem qui adhæretis Domino Deo vestro, vivitis universi usque in præsentem diem.
- Et vous, qui vous êtes attachés à l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous êtes aujourd'hui tous vivants. (Ⅱ) - But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day. (Ⅲ) - ὑμει̃ς δὲ οἱ προσκείμενοι κυρίω̨ τω̨̃ θεω̨̃ ὑμω̃ν ζη̃τε πάντες ἐν τη̨̃ σήμερον (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃4 ואתם הדבקים ביהוה אלהיכם חיים כלכם היום (Ⅴ)

Scitis quod docuerim vos præcepta atque justitias, sicut mandavit mihi Dominus Deus meus : sic facietis ea in terra, quam possessuri estis :
- Voici, je vous ai enseigné des lois et des ordonnances, comme l'Éternel, mon Dieu, me l'a commandé, afin que vous les mettiez en pratique dans le pays dont vous allez prendre possession. (Ⅱ) - Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. (Ⅲ) - ἴδετε δέδειχα ὑμι̃ν δικαιώματα καὶ κρίσεις καθὰ ἐνετείλατό μοι κύριος ποιη̃σαι οὕτως ἐν τη̨̃ γη̨̃ εἰς ἣν ὑμει̃ς εἰσπορεύεσθε ἐκει̃ κληρονομει̃ν αὐτήν (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃4 ראה למדתי אתכם חקים ומשפטים כאשר צוני יהוה אלהי לעשות כן בקרב הארץ אשר אתם באים שמה לרשתה (Ⅴ)

et observabitis et implebitis opere. Hæc est enim vestra sapientia, et intellectus coram populis, ut audientes universa præcepta hæc, dicant : En populus sapiens et intelligens, gens magna.
- Vous les observerez et vous les mettrez en pratique; car ce sera là votre sagesse et votre intelligence aux yeux des peuples, qui entendront parler de toutes ces lois et qui diront: Cette grande nation est un peuple absolument sage et intelligent! (Ⅱ) - Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. (Ⅲ) - καὶ φυλάξεσθε καὶ ποιήσετε ὅτι αὕτη ἡ σοφία ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἡ σύνεσις ἐναντίον πάντων τω̃ν ἐθνω̃ν ὅσοι ἐὰν ἀκούσωσιν πάντα τὰ δικαιώματα ταυ̃τα καὶ ἐρου̃σιν ἰδοὺ λαὸς σοφὸς καὶ ἐπιστήμων τὸ ἔθνος τὸ μέγα του̃το (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃4 ושמרתם ועשיתם כי הוא חכמתכם ובינתכם לעיני העמים אשר ישמעון את כל החקים האלה ואמרו רק עם חכם ונבון הגוי הגדול הזה (Ⅴ)

Nec est alia natio tam grandis, quæ habeat deos appropinquantes sibi, sicut Deus noster adest cunctis obsecrationibus nostris.
- Quelle est, en effet, la grande nation qui ait des dieux aussi proches que l'Éternel, notre Dieu, l'est de nous toutes les fois que nous l'invoquons? (Ⅱ) - For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? (Ⅲ) - ὅτι ποι̃ον ἔθνος μέγα ὡ̨̃ ἐστιν αὐτω̨̃ θεὸς ἐγγίζων αὐτοι̃ς ὡς κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμω̃ν ἐν πα̃σιν οἱ̃ς ἐὰν αὐτὸν ἐπικαλεσώμεθα (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃4 כי מי גוי גדול אשר לו אלהים קרבים אליו כיהוה אלהינו בכל קראנו[Q][n][p] אליו (Ⅴ)

Quæ est enim alia gens sic inclyta, ut habeat cæremonias, justaque judicia, et universam legem, quam ego proponam hodie ante oculos vestros ?\
- Et quelle est la grande nation qui ait des lois et des ordonnances justes, comme toute cette loi que je vous présente aujourd'hui? (Ⅱ) - And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? (Ⅲ) - καὶ ποι̃ον ἔθνος μέγα ὡ̨̃ ἐστιν αὐτω̨̃ δικαιώματα καὶ κρίματα δίκαια κατὰ πάντα τὸν νόμον του̃τον ὃν ἐγὼ δίδωμι ἐνώπιον ὑμω̃ν σήμερον (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃4 ומי גוי גדול אשר לו חקים ומשפטים צדיקם ככל התורה הזאת אשר אנכי נתן לפניכם היום (Ⅴ)

Custodi igitur temetipsum, et animam tuam sollicite. Ne obliviscaris verborum, quæ viderunt oculi tui, et ne excidant de corde tuo cunctis diebus vitæ tuæ. Docebis ea filios ac nepotes tuos,
- Seulement, prends garde à toi et veille attentivement sur ton âme, tous les jours de ta vie, de peur que tu n'oublies les choses que tes yeux ont vues, et qu'elles ne sortent de ton coeur; enseigne-les à tes enfants et aux enfants de tes enfants. (Ⅱ) - Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons; (Ⅲ) - πρόσεχε σεαυτω̨̃ καὶ φύλαξον τὴν ψυχήν σου σφόδρα μὴ ἐπιλάθη̨ πάντας τοὺς λόγους οὓς ἑωράκασιν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου καὶ μὴ ἀποστήτωσαν ἀπὸ τη̃ς καρδίας σου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τη̃ς ζωη̃ς σου καὶ συμβιβάσεις τοὺς υἱούς σου καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τω̃ν υἱω̃ν σου (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃4 רק השמר לך ושמר נפשך מאד פן תשכח את הדברים אשר ראו עיניך ופן יסורו מלבבך כל ימי חייך והודעתם לבניך ולבני בניך (Ⅴ)

- Souviens-toi du jour où tu te présentas devant l'Éternel, ton Dieu, à Horeb, lorsque l'Éternel me dit: Assemble auprès de moi le peuple! Je veux leur faire entendre mes paroles, afin qu'ils apprennent à me craindre tout le temps qu'ils vivront sur la terre; et afin qu'ils les enseignent à leurs enfants. (Ⅱ) - Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children. (Ⅲ) - ἡμέραν ἣν ἔστητε ἐναντίον κυρίου του̃ θεου̃ ὑμω̃ν ἐν Χωρηβ τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ τη̃ς ἐκκλησίας ὅτε εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρός με ἐκκλησίασον πρός με τὸν λαόν καὶ ἀκουσάτωσαν τὰ ῥήματά μου ὅπως μάθωσιν φοβει̃σθαί με πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἃς αὐτοὶ ζω̃σιν ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτω̃ν διδάξωσιν (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃4 יום אשר עמדת לפני יהוה אלהיך בחרב באמר יהוה אלי הקהל לי את העם ואשמעם את דברי אשר ילמדון ליראה אתי כל הימים אשר הם חיים על האדמה ואת בניהם ילמדון (Ⅴ)

Et accessistis ad radices montis, qui ardebat usque ad cælum : erantque in eo tenebræ, et nubes, et caligo.
- Vous vous approchâtes et vous vous tîntes au pied de la montagne. La montagne était embrasée, et les flammes s'élevaient jusqu'au milieu du ciel. Il y avait des ténèbres, des nuées, de l'obscurité. (Ⅱ) - And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness. (Ⅲ) - καὶ προσήλθετε καὶ ἔστητε ὑπὸ τὸ ὄρος καὶ τὸ ὄρος ἐκαίετο πυρὶ ἕως του̃ οὐρανου̃ σκότος γνόφος θύελλα φωνὴ μεγάλη (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃4 ותקרבון ותעמדון תחת ההר וההר בער באש עד לב השמים חשך ענן וערפל (Ⅴ)

Locutusque est Dominus ad vos de medio ignis. Vocem verborum ejus audistis, et formam penitus non vidistis.
- Et l'Éternel vous parla du milieu du feu; vous entendîtes le son des paroles, mais vous ne vîtes point de figure, vous n'entendîtes qu'une voix. (Ⅱ) - And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς ὑμα̃ς ἐκ μέσου του̃ πυρός φωνὴν ῥημάτων ὑμει̃ς ἠκούσατε καὶ ὁμοίωμα οὐκ εἴδετε ἀλλ' ἢ φωνήν (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃4 וידבר יהוה אליכם מתוך האש קול דברים אתם שמעים ותמונה אינכם ראים זולתי קול (Ⅴ)

Et ostendit vobis pactum suum, quod præcepit ut faceretis, et decem verba, quæ scripsit in duabus tabulis lapideis.
- Il publia son alliance, qu'il vous ordonna d'observer, les dix commandements; et il les écrivit sur deux tables de pierre. (Ⅱ) - And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀνήγγειλεν ὑμι̃ν τὴν διαθήκην αὐτου̃ ἣν ἐνετείλατο ὑμι̃ν ποιει̃ν τὰ δέκα ῥήματα καὶ ἔγραψεν αὐτὰ ἐπὶ δύο πλάκας λιθίνας (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃4 ויגד לכם את בריתו אשר צוה אתכם לעשות עשרת הדברים ויכתבם על שני לחות אבנים (Ⅴ)

Mihique mandavit in illo tempore ut docerem vos cæremonias et judicia, quæ facere deberetis in terra, quam possessuri estis.
- En ce temps-là, l'Éternel me commanda de vous enseigner des lois et des ordonnances, afin que vous les mettiez en pratique dans le pays dont vous allez prendre possession. (Ⅱ) - And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐμοὶ ἐνετείλατο κύριος ἐν τω̨̃ καιρω̨̃ ἐκείνω̨ διδάξαι ὑμα̃ς δικαιώματα καὶ κρίσεις ποιει̃ν αὐτὰ ὑμα̃ς ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς εἰς ἣν ὑμει̃ς εἰσπορεύεσθε ἐκει̃ κληρονομει̃ν αὐτήν (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃4 ואתי צוה יהוה בעת ההוא ללמד אתכם חקים ומשפטים לעשתכם אתם בארץ אשר אתם עברים שמה לרשתה (Ⅴ)

Custodite igitur sollicite animas vestras. Non vidistis aliquam similitudinem in die, qua locutus est vobis Dominus in Horeb de medio ignis :
- Puisque vous n'avez vu aucune figure le jour où l'Éternel vous parla du milieu du feu, à Horeb, veillez attentivement sur vos âmes, (Ⅱ) - Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire: (Ⅲ) - καὶ φυλάξεσθε σφόδρα τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμω̃ν ὅτι οὐκ εἴδετε ὁμοίωμα ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ἡ̨̃ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς ὑμα̃ς ἐν Χωρηβ ἐν τω̨̃ ὄρει ἐκ μέσου του̃ πυρός (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃4 ונשמרתם מאד לנפשתיכם כי לא ראיתם כל תמונה ביום דבר יהוה אליכם בחרב מתוך האש (Ⅴ)

ne forte decepti faciatis vobis sculptam similitudinem, aut imaginem masculi vel feminæ :
- de peur que vous ne vous corrompiez et que vous ne vous fassiez une image taillée, une représentation de quelque idole, la figure d'un homme ou d'une femme, (Ⅱ) - Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, (Ⅲ) - μὴ ἀνομήσητε καὶ ποιήσητε ὑμι̃ν ἑαυτοι̃ς γλυπτὸν ὁμοίωμα πα̃σαν εἰκόνα ὁμοίωμα ἀρσενικου̃ ἢ θηλυκου̃ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃4 פן תשחתון ועשיתם לכם פסל תמונת כל סמל תבנית זכר או נקבה (Ⅴ)

- la figure d'un animal qui soit sur la terre, la figure d'un oiseau qui vole dans les cieux, (Ⅱ) - The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air, (Ⅲ) - ὁμοίωμα παντὸς κτήνους τω̃ν ὄντων ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς ὁμοίωμα παντὸς ὀρνέου πτερωτου̃ ὃ πέταται ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανόν (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃4 תבנית כל בהמה אשר בארץ תבנית כל צפור כנף אשר תעוף בשמים (Ⅴ)

atque reptilium, quæ moventur in terra, sive piscium qui sub terra morantur in aquis :
- la figure d'une bête qui rampe sur le sol, la figure d'un poisson qui vive dans les eaux au-dessous de la terre. (Ⅱ) - The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth: (Ⅲ) - ὁμοίωμα παντὸς ἑρπετου̃ ὃ ἕρπει ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς ὁμοίωμα παντὸς ἰχθύος ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν τοι̃ς ὕδασιν ὑποκάτω τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃4 תבנית כל רמש באדמה תבנית כל דגה אשר במים מתחת לארץ (Ⅴ)

ne forte elevatis oculis ad cælum, videas solem et lunam, et omnia astra cæli, et errore deceptus adores ea, et colas quæ creavit Dominus Deus tuus in ministerium cunctis gentibus, quæ sub cælo sunt.
- Veille sur ton âme, de peur que, levant tes yeux vers le ciel, et voyant le soleil, la lune et les étoiles, toute l'armée des cieux, tu ne sois entraîné à te prosterner en leur présence et à leur rendre un culte: ce sont des choses que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, a données en partage à tous les peuples, sous le ciel tout entier. (Ⅱ) - And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven. (Ⅲ) - καὶ μὴ ἀναβλέψας εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ ἰδὼν τὸν ἥλιον καὶ τὴν σελήνην καὶ τοὺς ἀστέρας καὶ πάντα τὸν κόσμον του̃ οὐρανου̃ πλανηθεὶς προσκυνήση̨ς αὐτοι̃ς καὶ λατρεύση̨ς αὐτοι̃ς ἃ ἀπένειμεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου αὐτὰ πα̃σιν τοι̃ς ἔθνεσιν τοι̃ς ὑποκάτω του̃ οὐρανου̃ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃4 ופן תשא עיניך השמימה וראית את השמש ואת הירח ואת הכוכבים כל צבא השמים ונדחת והשתחוית להם ועבדתם אשר חלק יהוה אלהיך אתם לכל העמים תחת כל השמים (Ⅴ)

Vos autem tulit Dominus, et eduxit de fornace ferrea Ægypti, ut haberet populum hæreditarium, sicut est in præsenti die.\
- Mais vous, l'Éternel vous a pris, et vous a fait sortir de la fournaise de fer de l'Égypte, afin que vous fussiez un peuple qui lui appartînt en propre, comme vous l'êtes aujourd'hui. (Ⅱ) - But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day. (Ⅲ) - ὑμα̃ς δὲ ἔλαβεν ὁ θεὸς καὶ ἐξήγαγεν ὑμα̃ς ἐκ τη̃ς καμίνου τη̃ς σιδηρα̃ς ἐξ Αἰγύπτου εἰ̃ναι αὐτω̨̃ λαὸν ἔγκληρον ὡς ἐν τη̨̃ ἡμέρα̨ ταύτη̨ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃4 ואתכם לקח יהוה ויוצא אתכם מכור הברזל ממצרים להיות לו לעם נחלה כיום הזה (Ⅴ)

Iratusque est Dominus contra me propter sermones vestros, et juravit ut non transirem Jordanem, nec ingrederer terram optimam, quam daturus est vobis.
- Et l'Éternel s'irrita contre moi, à cause de vous; et il jura que je ne passerais point le Jourdain, et que je n'entrerais point dans le bon pays que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne en héritage. (Ⅱ) - Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance: (Ⅲ) - καὶ κύριος ἐθυμώθη μοι περὶ τω̃ν λεγομένων ὑφ' ὑμω̃ν καὶ ὤμοσεν ἵνα μὴ διαβω̃ τὸν Ιορδάνην του̃τον καὶ ἵνα μὴ εἰσέλθω εἰς τὴν γη̃ν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς δίδωσίν σοι ἐν κλήρω̨ (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃4 ויהוה התאנף בי[U] על דבריכם וישבע לבלתי עברי את הירדן ולבלתי בא אל הארץ הטובה אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך נחלה (Ⅴ)

Ecce morior in hac humo ; non transibo Jordanem : vos transibitis, et possidebitis terram egregiam.
- Je mourrai donc en ce pays-ci, je ne passerai point le Jourdain; mais vous le passerez, et vous posséderez ce bon pays. (Ⅱ) - But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good land. Cave nequando obliviscaris pacti Domini Dei tui, quod pepigit tecum, et facias tibi sculptam similitudinem eorum, quæ fieri Dominus prohibuit :
- Veillez sur vous, afin de ne point mettre en oubli l'alliance que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, a traitée avec vous, et de ne point vous faire d'image taillée, de représentation quelconque, que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, t'ait défendue. (Ⅱ) - Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee. - j'en prends aujourd'hui à témoin contre vous le ciel et la terre, -vous disparaîtrez par une mort rapide du pays dont vous allez prendre possession au delà du Jourdain, vous n'y prolongerez pas vos jours, car vous serez entièrement détruits. (Ⅱ) - I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. - L'Éternel vous dispersera parmi les peuples, et vous ne resterez qu'un petit nombre au milieu des nations où l'Éternel vous emmènera. - Et là, vous servirez des dieux, ouvrage de mains d'homme, du bois et de la pierre, qui ne peuvent ni voir, ni entendre, ni manger, ni sentir. Cumque quæsieris ibi Dominum Deum tuum, invenies eum : si tamen toto corde quæsieris, et tota tribulatione animæ tuæ.
- C'est de là aussi que tu chercheras l'Éternel, ton Dieu, et que tu le trouveras, si tu le cherches de tout ton coeur et de toute ton âme. Postquam te invenerint omnia quæ prædicta sunt, novissimo tempore reverteris ad Dominum Deum tuum, et audies vocem ejus.
- Au sein de ta détresse, toutes ces choses t'arriveront. Quia Deus misericors Dominus Deus tuus est : non dimittet te, nec omnino delebit, neque obliviscetur pacti, in quo juravit patribus tuis.\
- car l'Éternel, ton Dieu, est un Dieu de miséricorde, qui ne t'abandonnera point et ne te détruira point: il n'oubliera pas l'alliance de tes pères, qu'il leur a jurée. Interroga de diebus antiquis, qui fuerunt ante te ex die quo creavit Deus hominem super terram, a summo cælo usque ad summum ejus, si facta est aliquando hujuscemodi res, aut umquam cognitum est,
- Interroge les temps anciens qui t'ont précédé, depuis le jour où Dieu créa l'homme sur la terre, et d'une extrémité du ciel à l'autre: y eut-il jamais si grand événement, et a-t-on jamais ouï chose semblable? (Ⅱ) - For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it? - Tu as été rendu témoin de ces choses, afin que tu reconnusses que l'Éternel est Dieu, qu'il n'y en a point d'autre. (Ⅱ) - Unto thee it was showed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him. - Du ciel, il t'a fait entendre sa voix pour t'instruire; et, sur la terre, il t'a fait voir son grand feu, et tu as entendu ses paroles du milieu du feu. (Ⅱ) - Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he showed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire. ut deleret nationes maximas et fortiores te in introitu tuo : et introduceret te, daretque tibi terram earum in possessionem, sicut cernis in præsenti die.
- il a chassé devant toi des nations supérieures en nombre et en force, pour te faire entrer dans leur pays, pour t'en donner la possession, comme tu le vois aujourd'hui. (Ⅱ) - To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day. (Ⅲ) - ἐξολεθρευ̃σαι ἔθνη μεγάλα καὶ ἰσχυρότερά σου πρὸ προσώπου σου εἰσαγαγει̃ν σε δου̃ναί σοι τὴν γη̃ν αὐτω̃ν κληρονομει̃ν καθὼς ἔχεις σήμερον (Ⅳ) - 38 ׃4 להוריש גוים גדלים ועצמים ממך מפניך להביאך לתת לך את ארצם נחלה כיום הזה (Ⅴ)

Scito ergo hodie, et cogitato in corde tuo quod Dominus ipse sit Deus in cælo sursum, et in terra deorsum, et non sit alius.
- Sache donc en ce jour, et retiens dans ton coeur que l'Éternel est Dieu, en haut dans le ciel et en bas sur la terre, et qu'il n'y en a point d'autre. (Ⅱ) - Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. Custodi præcepta ejus atque mandata, quæ ego præcipio tibi : ut bene sit tibi, et filiis tuis post te, et permaneas multo tempore super terram, quam Dominus Deus tuus daturus est tibi.\
- Et observe ses lois et ses commandements que je te prescris aujourd'hui, afin que tu sois heureux, toi et tes enfants après toi, et que tu prolonges désormais tes jours dans le pays que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne. (Ⅱ) - Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever. ut confugiat ad eas qui occiderit nolens proximum suum, nec sibi fuerit inimicus ante unum et alterum diem, et ad harum aliquam urbium possit evadere :
- afin qu'elles servissent de refuge au meurtrier qui aurait involontairement tué son prochain, sans avoir été auparavant son ennemi, et afin qu'il pût sauver sa vie en s'enfuyant dans l'une de ces villes. - C'étaient: Betser, dans le désert, dans la plaine, chez les Rubénites; Ramoth, en Galaad, chez les Gadites, et Golan, en Basan, chez les Manassites. et hæc testimonia et cæremoniæ atque judicia, quæ locutus est ad filios Israël, quando egressi sunt de Ægypto,
- Voici les préceptes, les lois et les ordonnances que Moïse prescrivit aux enfants d'Israël, après leur sortie d'Égypte. (Ⅱ) - These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt. (Ⅲ) - ταυ̃τα τὰ μαρτύρια καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα ὅσα ἐλάλησεν Μωυση̃ς τοι̃ς υἱοι̃ς Ισραηλ ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ ἐξελθόντων αὐτω̃ν ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου (Ⅳ) - 45 ׃4 אלה העדת והחקים והמשפטים אשר דבר משה אל בני ישראל בצאתם ממצרים (Ⅴ)

trans Jordanem in valle contra fanum Phogor in terra Sehon regis Amorrhæi, qui habitavit in Hesebon, quem percussit Moyses. Filii quoque Israël egressi ex Ægypto
- C'était de l'autre côté du Jourdain, dans la vallée, vis-à-vis de Beth Peor, au pays de Sihon, roi des Amoréens, qui habitait à Hesbon, et qui fut battu par Moïse et les enfants d'Israël, après leur sortie d'Égypte. (Ⅱ) - On this side Jordan, in the valley over against Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt: (Ⅲ) - ἐν τω̨̃ πέραν του̃ Ιορδάνου ἐν φάραγγι ἐγγὺς οἴκου Φογωρ ἐν γη̨̃ Σηων βασιλέως τω̃ν Αμορραίων ὃς κατώ̨κει ἐν Εσεβων οὓς ἐπάταξεν Μωυση̃ς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἐξελθόντων αὐτω̃ν ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου (Ⅳ) - 46 ׃4 בעבר הירדן בגיא מול בית פעור בארץ סיחן מלך האמרי אשר יושב בחשבון אשר הכה משה ובני ישראל בצאתם ממצרים (Ⅴ)

possederunt terram ejus, et terram Og regis Basan, duorum regum Amorrhæorum, qui erant trans Jordanem ad solis ortum :
- Ils s'emparèrent de son pays et de celui d'Og, roi de Basan. Ces deux rois des Amoréens étaient de l'autre côté du Jourdain, à l'orient. (Ⅱ) - And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising; (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐκληρονόμησαν τὴν γη̃ν αὐτου̃ καὶ τὴν γη̃ν Ωγ βασιλέως τη̃ς Βασαν δύο βασιλέων τω̃ν Αμορραίων οἳ ἠ̃σαν πέραν του̃ Ιορδάνου κατ' ἀνατολὰς ἡλίου (Ⅳ) - 47 ׃4 ויירשו את ארצו ואת ארץ עוג מלך הבשן שני מלכי האמרי אשר בעבר הירדן מזרח שמש (Ⅴ)

ab Aroër, quæ sita est super ripam torrentis Arnon, usque ad montem Sion, qui est et Hermon,
- Leur territoire s'étendait depuis Aroër sur les bords du torrent de l'Arnon jusqu'à la montagne de Sion qui est l'Hermon, (Ⅱ) - From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon, (Ⅲ) - ἀπὸ Αροηρ ἥ ἐστιν ἐπὶ του̃ χείλους χειμάρρου Αρνων καὶ ἐπὶ του̃ ὄρους του̃ Σηων ὅ ἐστιν Αερμων (Ⅳ) - 48 ׃4 מערער אשר על שפת נחל ארנן ועד הר שיאן הוא חרמון (Ⅴ)

omnem planitiem trans Jordanem ad orientalem plagam, usque ad mare solitudinis, et usque ad radices montis Phasga.
- et il embrassait toute la plaine de l'autre côté du Jourdain, à l'orient, jusqu'à la mer de la plaine, au pied du Pisga. (Ⅱ) - And all the plain on this side Jordan eastward, even unto the sea of the plain, under the springs of Pisgah. (Ⅲ) - πα̃σαν τὴν Αραβα πέραν του̃ Ιορδάνου κατ' ἀνατολὰς ἡλίου ὑπὸ Ασηδωθ τὴν λαξευτήν (Ⅳ) - 49 ׃4 וכל הערבה עבר הירדן מזרחה ועד ים הערבה תחת אשדת הפסגה פ (Ⅴ)
