Quod factum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam prophetam contra Palæstinos, antequam percuteret Pharao Gazam.
- La parole de l'Éternel qui fut adressée à Jérémie, le prophète, sur les Philistins, avant que Pharaon frappât Gaza. (Ⅱ) - The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza. (Ⅲ) - 1 ׃47 אשר היה דבר יהוה אל ירמיהו הנביא אל פלשתים בטרם יכה פרעה את עזה ס (Ⅴ)

Hæc dicit Dominus :/ Ecce aquæ ascendunt ab aquilone,/ et erunt quasi torrens inundans,/ et operient terram et plenitudinem ejus,/ urbem et habitatores ejus./ Clamabunt homines,/ et ululabunt omnes habitatores terræ,/
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, des eaux s'élèvent du septentrion, Elles sont comme un torrent qui déborde; Elles inondent le pays et ce qu'il contient, Les villes et leurs habitants. Les hommes poussent des cris, Tous les habitants du pays se lamentent, (Ⅱ) - Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl. (Ⅲ) - 2 ׃47 כה אמר יהוה הנה מים עלים מצפון והיו לנחל שוטף וישטפו ארץ ומלואה עיר וישבי בה וזעקו האדם והילל כל יושב הארץ (Ⅴ)

a strepitu pompæ armorum, et bellatorum ejus,/ a commotione quadrigarum ejus, et multitudine rotarum illius./ Non respexerunt patres filios manibus dissolutis,/
- A cause du retentissement des sabots de ses puissants chevaux, Du bruit de ses chars et du fracas des roues; Les pères ne se tournent pas vers leurs enfants, Tant les mains sont affaiblies, (Ⅱ) - At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands; (Ⅲ) - 3 ׃47 מקול שעטת פרסות אביריו מרעש לרכבו המון גלגליו לא הפנו אבות אל בנים מרפיון ידים (Ⅴ)

pro adventu diei in quo vastabuntur omnes Philisthiim,/ et dissipabitur Tyrus et Sidon/ cum omnibus reliquis auxiliis suis :/ depopulatus est enim Dominus Palæstinos,/ reliquias insulæ Cappadociæ./
- Parce que le jour arrive où seront détruits tous les Philistins, Exterminés tous ceux qui servaient encore d'auxiliaires à Tyr et à Sidon; Car l'Éternel va détruire les Philistins, Les restes de l'île de Caphtor. (Ⅱ) - Because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, and to cut off from Tyrus and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the LORD will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor. (Ⅲ) - 4 ׃47 על היום הבא לשדוד את כל פלשתים להכרית לצר ולצידון כל שריד עזר כי שדד יהוה את פלשתים שארית אי כפתור (Ⅴ)

Venit calvitium super Gazam ;/ conticuit Ascalon, et reliquiæ vallis earum :/ usquequo concideris ?/
- Gaza est devenue chauve, Askalon est dans le silence, le reste de leur plaine aussi. Jusques à quand te feras-tu des incisions? - (Ⅱ) - Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself? (Ⅲ) - 5 ׃47 באה קרחה אל עזה נדמתה אשקלון שארית עמקם עד מתי תתגודדי ס (Ⅴ)

O mucro Domini, usquequo non quiesces ?/ ingredere in vaginam tuam,/ refrigerare, et sile./
- Ah! épée de l'Éternel, quand te reposeras-tu? Rentre dans ton fourreau, Arrête, et sois tranquille! - (Ⅱ) - O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still. (Ⅲ) - 6 ׃47 הוי חרב ליהוה עד אנה לא תשקטי האספי אל תערך הרגעי ודמי (Ⅴ)

Quomodo quiescet,/ cum Dominus præceperit ei adversus Ascalonem,/ et adversus maritimas ejus regiones,/ ibique condixerit illi ?]
- Comment te reposerais-tu? L'Éternel lui donne ses ordres, C'est contre Askalon et la côte de la mer qu'il la dirige. (Ⅱ) - How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it. (Ⅲ) - 7 ׃47 איך תשקטי ויהוה צוה לה אל אשקלון ואל חוף הים שם יעדה ס (Ⅴ)
