Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
- Sédécias avait vingt et un ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna onze ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Hamuthal, fille de Jérémie, de Libna. (Ⅱ) - Filius viginti et unius anni erat Sedecias cum regnare cœpisset, et undecim annis regnavit in Jerusalem. Et nomen matris ejus Amital filia Jeremiæ de Lobna. And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
- Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel, entièrement comme avait fait Jojakim. (Ⅱ) - Et fecit malum in oculis Domini, juxta omnia quæ fecerat Joakim, (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃52 ויעש הרע בעיני יהוה ככל אשר עשה יהויקים (Ⅴ)

For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
- Et cela arriva à cause de la colère de l'Éternel contre Jérusalem et contre Juda, qu'il voulait rejeter de devant sa face. Et Sédécias se révolta contre le roi de Babylone. (Ⅱ) - quoniam furor Domini erat in Jerusalem et in Juda, usquequo projiceret eos a facie sua : et recessit Sedecias a rege Babylonis. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃52 כי על אף יהוה היתה בירושלם ויהודה עד השליכו אותם מעל פניו וימרד צדקיהו במלך בבל (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.
- La neuvième année du règne de Sédécias, le dixième jour du dixième mois, Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, vint avec toute son armée contre Jérusalem; ils campèrent devant elle, et élevèrent des retranchements tout autour. (Ⅱ) - Factum est autem in anno nono regni ejus, in mense decimo, decima mensis, venit Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis, ipse et omnis exercitus ejus, adversus Jerusalem : et obsederunt eam, et ædificaverunt contra eam munitiones in circuitu. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃52 ויהי בשנה התשעית למלכו בחדש העשירי בעשור לחדש בא נבוכדראצר מלך בבל הוא וכל חילו על ירושלם ויחנו עליה ויבנו עליה דיק סביב (Ⅴ)

So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
- La ville fut assiégée jusqu'à la onzième année du roi Sédécias. (Ⅱ) - Et fuit civitas obsessa usque ad undecimum annum regis Sedeciæ. (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃52 ותבא העיר במצור עד עשתי עשרה שנה למלך צדקיהו (Ⅴ)

And in the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
- Le neuvième jour du quatrième mois, la famine était forte dans la ville, et il n'y avait pas de pain pour le peuple du pays. (Ⅱ) - Mense autem quarto, nona mensis, obtinuit fames civitatem, et non erant alimenta populo terræ. (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃52 בחדש הרביעי בתשעה לחדש ויחזק הרעב בעיר ולא היה לחם לעם הארץ (Ⅴ)

Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.
- Alors la brèche fut faite à la ville; et tous les gens de guerre s'enfuirent, et sortirent de la ville pendant la nuit par le chemin de la porte entre les deux murs près du jardin du roi, tandis que les Chaldéens environnaient la ville. Les fuyards prirent le chemin de la plaine. (Ⅱ) - Et dirupta est civitas, et omnes viri bellatores ejus fugerunt, exieruntque de civitate nocte, per viam portæ quæ est inter duos muros, et ducit ad hortum regis, Chaldæis obsidentibus urbem in gyro, et abierunt per viam quæ ducit in eremum. (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃52 ותבקע העיר וכל אנשי המלחמה יברחו ויצאו מהעיר לילה דרך שער בין החמתים אשר על גן המלך וכשדים על העיר סביב וילכו דרך הערבה (Ⅴ)

But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
- Mais l'armée des Chaldéens poursuivit le roi, et ils atteignirent Sédécias dans les plaines de Jéricho; et toute son armée se dispersa loin de lui. (Ⅱ) - Persecutus est autem Chadæorum exercitus regem, et apprehenderunt Sedeciam in deserto quod est juxta Jericho : et omnis comitatus ejus diffugit ab eo. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃52 וירדפו חיל כשדים אחרי המלך וישיגו את צדקיהו בערבת ירחו וכל חילו נפצו מעליו (Ⅴ)

Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.
- Ils saisirent le roi, et le firent monter vers le roi de Babylone à Ribla, dans le pays de Hamath; et il prononça contre lui une sentence. (Ⅱ) - Cumque comprehendissent regem, adduxerunt eum ad regem Babylonis in Reblatha, quæ est in terra Emath, et locutus est ad eum judicia. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃52 ויתפשו את המלך ויעלו אתו אל מלך בבל רבלתה בארץ חמת וידבר אתו משפטים (Ⅴ)

And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.
- Le roi de Babylone fit égorger les fils de Sédécias en sa présence; il fit aussi égorger tous les chefs de Juda à Ribla. (Ⅱ) - Et jugulavit rex Babylonis filios Sedeciæ in oculis ejus, sed et omnes principes Juda occidit in Reblatha. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃52 וישחט מלך בבל את בני צדקיהו לעיניו וגם את כל שרי יהודה שחט ברבלתה (Ⅴ)

Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.
- Puis il fit crever les yeux à Sédécias, et le fit lier avec des chaînes d'airain; le roi de Babylone l'emmena à Babylone, et il le tint en prison jusqu'au jour de sa mort. (Ⅱ) - Et oculos Sedeciæ eruit, et vinxit eum compedibus, et adduxit eum rex Babylonis in Babylonem, et posuit eum in domo carceris usque ad diem mortis ejus. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃52 ואת עיני צדקיהו עור ויאסרהו בנחשתים ויבאהו מלך בבל בבלה ויתנהו *בבית **בית הפקדת עד יום מותו (Ⅴ)

Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,
- Le dixième jour du cinquième mois, -c'était la dix-neuvième année du règne de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, -Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, au service du roi de Babylone, vint à Jérusalem. (Ⅱ) - In mense autem quinto, decima mensis, ipse est annus nonusdecimus Nabuchodonosor regis Babylonis, venit Nabuzardan princeps militiæ, qui stabat coram rege Babylonis, in Jerusalem, (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃52 ובחדש החמישי בעשור לחדש היא שנת תשע עשרה שנה למלך נבוכדראצר מלך בבל בא נבוזראדן רב טבחים עמד לפני מלך בבל בירושלם (Ⅴ)

And burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:
- Il brûla la maison de l'Éternel, la maison du roi, et toutes les maisons de Jérusalem; il livra au feu toutes les maisons de quelque importance. (Ⅱ) - et incendit domum Domini, et domum regis, et omnes domos Jerusalem : et omnem domum magnam igni combussit : (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃52 וישרף את בית יהוה ואת בית המלך ואת כל בתי ירושלם ואת כל בית הגדול שרף באש (Ⅴ)

And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.
- Toute l'armée des Chaldéens, qui était avec le chef des gardes, démolit toutes les murailles formant l'enceinte de Jérusalem. (Ⅱ) - et totum murum Jerusalem per circuitum destruxit cunctus exercitus Chaldæorum qui erat cum magistro militiæ. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃52 ואת כל חמות ירושלם סביב נתצו כל חיל כשדים אשר את רב טבחים (Ⅴ)

Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive certain of the poor of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.
- Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, emmena captifs une partie des plus pauvres du peuple, ceux du peuple qui étaient demeurés dans la ville, ceux qui s'étaient rendus au roi de Babylone, et le reste de la multitude. (Ⅱ) - De pauperibus autem populi, et de reliquo vulgo quod remanserat in civitate, et de perfugis qui transfugerant ad regem Babylonis, et ceteros de multitudine transtulit Nabuzardan princeps militiæ. (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃52 ומדלות העם ואת יתר העם הנשארים בעיר ואת הנפלים אשר נפלו אל מלך בבל ואת יתר האמון הגלה נבוזראדן רב טבחים (Ⅴ)

But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left certain of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen.
- Cependant Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, laissa comme vignerons et comme laboureurs quelques-uns des plus pauvres du pays. (Ⅱ) - De pauperibus vero terræ reliquit Nabuzardan princeps militiæ vinitores et agricolas. (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃52 ומדלות הארץ השאיר נבוזראדן רב טבחים לכרמים וליגבים (Ⅴ)

Also the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the LORD, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.
- Les Chaldéens brisèrent les colonnes d'airain qui étaient dans la maison de l'Éternel, les bases, la mer d'airain qui était dans la maison de l'Éternel, et ils en emportèrent tout l'airain à Babylone. (Ⅱ) - Columnas quoque æreas quæ erant in domo Domini, et bases, et mare æneum quod erat in domo Domini, confregerunt Chaldæi, et tulerunt omne æs eorum in Babylonem, (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃52 ואת עמודי הנחשת אשר לבית יהוה ואת המכנות ואת ים הנחשת אשר בבית יהוה שברו כשדים וישאו את כל נחשתם בבלה (Ⅴ)

The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
- Ils prirent les cendriers, les pelles, les couteaux, les coupes, les tasses, et tous les ustensiles d'airain avec lesquels on faisait le service. (Ⅱ) - et lebetes, et creagras, et psalteria, et phialas, et mortariola, et omnia vasa ærea quæ in ministerio fuerant, tulerunt : (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃52 ואת הסרות ואת היעים ואת המזמרות ואת המזרקת ואת הכפות ואת כל כלי הנחשת אשר ישרתו בהם לקחו (Ⅴ)

And the basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the captain of the guard away.
- Le chef des gardes prit encore les bassins, les brasiers, les coupes, les cendriers, les chandeliers, les tasses et les calices, ce qui était d'or et ce qui était d'argent. (Ⅱ) - et hydrias, et thymiamateria, et urceos, et pelves, et candelabra, et mortaria, et cyathos, quotquot aurea, aurea, et quotquot argentea, argentea, tulit magister militiæ : (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃52 ואת הספים ואת המחתות ואת המזרקות ואת הסירות ואת המנרות ואת הכפות ואת המנקיות אשר זהב זהב ואשר כסף כסף לקח רב טבחים (Ⅴ)

The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the LORD: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
- Les deux colonnes, la mer, et les douze boeufs d'airain qui servaient de base, et que le roi Salomon avait faits pour la maison de l'Éternel, tous ces ustensiles d'airain avaient un poids inconnu. (Ⅱ) - et columnas duas, et mare unum, et vitulos duodecim æreos qui erant sub basibus quas fecerat rex Salomon in domo Domini. Non erat pondus æris omnium horum vasorum. (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃52 העמודים שנים הים אחד והבקר שנים עשר נחשת אשר תחת המכנות אשר עשה המלך שלמה לבית יהוה לא היה משקל לנחשתם כל הכלים האלה (Ⅴ)

And concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.
- La hauteur de l'une des colonnes était de dix-huit coudées, et un cordon de douze coudées l'entourait; elle était creuse, et son épaisseur avait quatre doigts; (Ⅱ) - De columnis autem decem et octo cubiti altitudinis erant in columna una, et funiculus duodecim cubitorum circuibat eam : porro grossitudo ejus quatuor digitorum, et intrinsecus cava erat. (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃52 והעמודים שמנה עשרה אמה *קומה **קומת העמד האחד וחוט שתים עשרה אמה יסבנו ועביו ארבע אצבעות נבוב (Ⅴ)

And a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.
- il y avait au-dessus un chapiteau d'airain, et la hauteur d'un chapiteau était de cinq coudées; autour du chapiteau il y avait un treillis et des grenades, le tout d'airain; il en était de même pour la seconde colonne avec des grenades. (Ⅱ) - Et capitella super utramque ærea : altitudo capitelli unius quinque cubitorum, et retiacula et malogranata super coronam in circuitu, omnia ærea : similiter columnæ secundæ, et malogranata. (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃52 וכתרת עליו נחשת וקומת הכתרת האחת חמש אמות ושבכה ורמונים על הכותרת סביב הכל נחשת וכאלה לעמוד השני ורמונים (Ⅴ)

And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; and all the pomegranates upon the network were an hundred round about.
- Il y avait quatre-vingt-seize grenades de chaque côté, et toutes les grenades autour du treillis étaient au nombre de cent. (Ⅱ) - Et fuerunt malogranata nonaginta sex dependentia : et omnia malogranata centum, retiaculis circumdabantur. (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃52 ויהיו הרמנים תשעים וששה רוחה כל הרמונים מאה על השבכה סביב (Ⅴ)

And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:
- Le chef des gardes prit Seraja, le souverain sacrificateur, Sophonie, le second sacrificateur, et les trois gardiens du seuil. (Ⅱ) - Et tulit magister militiæ Saraiam sacerdotem primum, et Sophoniam sacerdotem secundum, et tres custodes vestibuli : (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃52 ויקח רב טבחים את שריה כהן הראש ואת צפניה כהן המשנה ואת שלשת שמרי הסף (Ⅴ)

He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king's person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.
- Et dans la ville il prit un eunuque qui avait sous son commandement les gens de guerre, sept hommes qui faisaient partie des conseillers du roi et qui furent trouvés dans la ville, le secrétaire du chef de l'armée qui était chargé d'enrôler le peuple du pays, et soixante hommes du peuple du pays qui se trouvèrent dans la ville. (Ⅱ) - et de civitate tulit eunuchum unum, qui erat præpositus super viros bellatores : et septem viros de his qui videbant faciem regis, qui inventi sunt in civitate : et scribam principem militum, qui probabat tyrones : et sexaginta viros de populo terræ, qui inventi sunt in medio civitatis. (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃52 ומן העיר לקח סריס אחד אשר היה פקיד על אנשי המלחמה ושבעה אנשים מראי פני המלך אשר נמצאו בעיר ואת ספר שר הצבא המצבא את עם הארץ וששים איש מעם הארץ הנמצאים בתוך העיר (Ⅴ)

So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.

And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.
- Le roi de Babylone les frappa et les fit mourir à Ribla, dans le pays de Hamath. Ainsi Juda fut emmené captif loin de son pays. (Ⅱ) - et percussit eos rex Babylonis, et interfecit eos in Reblatha in terra Emath : et translatus est Juda de terra sua. (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃52 ויכה אותם מלך בבל וימתם ברבלה בארץ חמת ויגל יהודה מעל אדמתו (Ⅴ)

This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty:
- Voici le peuple que Nebucadnetsar emmena en captivité: la septième année, trois mille vingt-trois Juifs; (Ⅱ) - Iste est populus quem transtulit Nabuchodonosor : in anno septimo, Judæos tria millia et viginti tres : (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃52 זה העם אשר הגלה נבוכדראצר בשנת שבע יהודים שלשת אלפים ועשרים ושלשה (Ⅴ)

In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons:
- la dix-huitième année de Nebucadnetsar, il emmena de Jérusalem huit cent trente-deux personnes; (Ⅱ) - in anno octavodecimo Nabuchodonosor, de Jerusalem animas octingentas triginta duas : (Ⅳ) - 29 ׃52 בשנת שמונה עשרה לנבוכדראצר מירושלם נפש שמנה מאות שלשים ושנים (Ⅴ)

In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.
- la vingt-troisième année de Nebucadnetsar, Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, emmena sept cent quarante-cinq Juifs; en tout quatre mille six cents personnes. (Ⅱ) - in anno vigesimo tertio Nabuchodonosor, transtulit Nabuzardan magister militiæ animas Judæorum septingentas quadraginta quinque. Omnes ergo animæ, quatuor millia sexcentæ. (Ⅳ) - 30 ׃52 בשנת שלש ועשרים לנבוכדראצר הגלה נבוזראדן רב טבחים יהודים נפש שבע מאות ארבעים וחמשה כל נפש ארבעת אלפים ושש מאות פ (Ⅴ)

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison.
- La trente-septième année de la captivité de Jojakin, roi de Juda, le vingt-cinquième jour du douzième mois, Évil Merodac, roi de Babylone, dans la première année de son règne, releva la tête de Jojakin, roi de Juda, et le fit sortir de prison. And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,
- Il lui parla avec bonté, et il mit son trône au-dessus du trône des rois qui étaient avec lui à Babylone. (Ⅱ) - Et locutus est cum eo bona, et posuit thronum ejus super thronos regum qui erant post se in Babylone. (Ⅳ) - 32 ׃52 וידבר אתו טבות ויתן את כסאו ממעל לכסא *מלכים **המלכים אשר אתו בבבל (Ⅴ)

And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.
- Il lui fit changer ses vêtements de prison, et Jojakin mangea toujours à sa table tout le temps de sa vie. (Ⅱ) - Et mutavit vestimenta carceris ejus, et comedebat panem coram eo semper cunctis diebus vitæ suæ. (Ⅳ) - 33 ׃52 ושנה את בגדי כלאו ואכל לחם לפניו תמיד כל ימי חיו (Ⅴ)

And for his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.
- Le roi de Babylone pourvut constamment à son entretien journalier jusqu'au jour de sa mort, tout le temps de sa vie. (Ⅱ) - Et cibaria ejus, cibaria perpetua dabantur ei a rege Babylonis, statuta per singulos dies, usque ad diem mortis suæ, cunctis diebus vitæ ejus. (Ⅳ) - 34 ׃52 וארחתו ארחת תמיד נתנה לו מאת מלך בבל דבר יום ביומו עד יום מותו כל ימי חייו (Ⅴ)
