And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;
- La quatrième année du roi Darius, la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Zacharie, le quatrième jour du neuvième mois, qui est le mois de Kisleu. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τω̨̃ τετάρτω̨ ἔτει ἐπὶ Δαρείου του̃ βασιλέως ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ζαχαριαν τετράδι του̃ μηνὸς του̃ ἐνάτου ὅς ἐστιν Χασελευ (Ⅲ) - Et factum est in anno quarto Darii regis, factum est verbum Domini ad Zachariam, in quarta mensis noni, qui est Casleu. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃7 ויהי בשנת ארבע לדריוש המלך היה דבר יהוה אל זכריה בארבעה לחדש התשעי בכסלו (Ⅴ)

When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regemmelech, and their men, to pray before the LORD,
- On avait envoyé de Béthel Scharetser et Réguem Mélec avec ses gens pour implorer l'Éternel, (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν εἰς Βαιθηλ Σαρασαρ καὶ Αρβεσεερ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ οἱ ἄνδρες αὐτου̃ του̃ ἐξιλάσασθαι τὸν κύριον (Ⅲ) - Et miserunt ad domum Dei Sarasar et Rogommelech, et viri qui erant cum eo, ad deprecandam faciem Domini : (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃7 וישלח בית אל שר אצר ורגם מלך ואנשיו לחלות את פני יהוה (Ⅴ)

And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?
- et pour dire aux sacrificateurs de la maison de l'Éternel des armées et aux prophètes: Faut-il que je pleure au cinquième mois et que je fasse abstinence, comme je l'ai fait tant d'années? (Ⅱ) - λέγων πρὸς τοὺς ἱερει̃ς τοὺς ἐν τω̨̃ οἴκω̨ κυρίου παντοκράτορος καὶ πρὸς τοὺς προφήτας λέγων εἰσελήλυθεν ὡ̃δε ἐν τω̨̃ μηνὶ τω̨̃ πέμπτω̨ τὸ ἁγίασμα καθότι ἐποίησα ἤδη ἱκανὰ ἔτη (Ⅲ) - ut dicerent sacerdotibus domus Domini exercituum, et prophetis, loquentes : Numquid flendum est mihi in quinto mense, vel sanctificare me debeo, sicut jam feci multis annis ? (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃7 לאמר אל הכהנים אשר לבית יהוה צבאות ואל הנביאים לאמר האבכה בחדש החמשי הנזר כאשר עשיתי זה כמה שנים פ (Ⅴ)

Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying,
- La parole de l'Éternel des armées me fut adressée, en ces mots: (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου τω̃ν δυνάμεων πρός με λέγων (Ⅲ) - Et factum est verbum Domini exercituum ad me, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃7 ויהי דבר יהוה צבאות אלי לאמר (Ⅴ)

Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?
- Dis à tout le peuple du pays et aux sacrificateurs: Quand vous avez jeûné et pleuré au cinquième et au septième mois, et cela depuis soixante-dix ans, est-ce pour moi que vous avez jeûné? (Ⅱ) - εἰπὸν πρὸς ἅπαντα τὸν λαὸν τη̃ς γη̃ς καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἱερει̃ς λέγων ἐὰν νηστεύσητε ἢ κόψησθε ἐν ται̃ς πέμπταις ἢ ἐν ται̃ς ἑβδόμαις καὶ ἰδοὺ ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη μὴ νηστείαν νενηστεύκατέ μοι (Ⅲ) - Loquere ad omnem populum terræ, et ad sacerdotes, dicens : Cum jejunaretis, et plangeretis in quinto et septimo per hos septuaginta annos, numquid jejunium jejunastis mihi ? (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃7 אמר אל כל עם הארץ ואל הכהנים לאמר כי צמתם וספוד בחמישי ובשביעי וזה שבעים שנה הצום צמתני אני (Ⅴ)

And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?
- Et quand vous mangez et buvez, n'est-ce pas vous qui mangez et vous qui buvez? (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐὰν φάγητε ἢ πίητε οὐχ ὑμει̃ς ἔσθετε καὶ ὑμει̃ς πίνετε (Ⅲ) - et cum comedistis et bibistis, numquid non vobis comedistis et vobismetipsis bibistis ? (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃7 וכי תאכלו וכי תשתו הלוא אתם האכלים ואתם השתים (Ⅴ)

Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
- Ne connaissez-vous pas les paroles qu'a proclamées l'Éternel par les premiers prophètes, lorsque Jérusalem était habitée et tranquille avec ses villes à l'entour, et que le midi et la plaine étaient habités? (Ⅱ) - οὐχ οὑ̃τοι οἱ λόγοι εἰσίν οὓς ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐν χερσὶν τω̃ν προφητω̃ν τω̃ν ἔμπροσθεν ὅτε ἠ̃ν Ιερουσαλημ κατοικουμένη καὶ εὐθηνου̃σα καὶ αἱ πόλεις αὐτη̃ς κυκλόθεν καὶ ἡ ὀρεινὴ καὶ ἡ πεδινὴ κατω̨κει̃το (Ⅲ) - numquid non sunt verba quæ locutus est Dominus in manu prophetarum priorum, cum adhuc Jerusalem habitaretur ut esset opulenta, ipsa et urbes in circuitu ejus, et ad austrum, et in campestribus habitaretur ? (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃7 הלוא את הדברים אשר קרא יהוה ביד הנביאים הראשנים בהיות ירושלם ישבת ושלוה ועריה סביבתיה והנגב והשפלה ישב פ (Ⅴ)

And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying,

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:
- Ainsi parlait l'Éternel des armées: Rendez véritablement la justice, Et ayez l'un pour l'autre de la bonté et de la miséricorde. (Ⅱ) - τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ κρίμα δίκαιον κρίνατε καὶ ἔλεος καὶ οἰκτιρμὸν ποιει̃τε ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Hæc ait Dominus exercituum, dicens : Judicium verum judicate, et misericordiam et miserationes facite, unusquisque cum fratre suo. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃7 כה אמר יהוה צבאות לאמר משפט אמת שפטו וחסד ורחמים עשו איש את אחיו (Ⅴ)

And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
- N'opprimez pas la veuve et l'orphelin, l'étranger et le pauvre, Et ne méditez pas l'un contre l'autre le mal dans vos coeurs. (Ⅱ) - καὶ χήραν καὶ ὀρφανὸν καὶ προσήλυτον καὶ πένητα μὴ καταδυναστεύετε καὶ κακίαν ἕκαστος του̃ ἀδελφου̃ αὐτου̃ μὴ μνησικακείτω ἐν ται̃ς καρδίαις ὑμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Et viduam, et pupillum, et advenam, et pauperem nolite calumniari : et malum vir fratri suo non cogitet in corde suo. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃7 ואלמנה ויתום גר ועני אל תעשקו ורעת איש אחיו אל תחשבו בלבבכם (Ⅴ)

But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
- Mais ils refusèrent d'être attentifs, ils eurent l'épaule rebelle, et ils endurcirent leurs oreilles pour ne pas entendre. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠπείθησαν του̃ προσέχειν καὶ ἔδωκαν νω̃τον παραφρονου̃ντα καὶ τὰ ὠ̃τα αὐτω̃ν ἐβάρυναν του̃ μὴ εἰσακούειν (Ⅲ) - Et noluerunt attendere, et averterunt scapulam recedentem, et aures suas aggravaverunt ne audirent. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃7 וימאנו להקשיב ויתנו כתף סררת ואזניהם הכבידו משמוע (Ⅴ)

Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
- Ils rendirent leur coeur dur comme le diamant, pour ne pas écouter la loi et les paroles que l'Éternel des armées leur adressait par son esprit, par les premiers prophètes. Ainsi l'Éternel des armées s'enflamma d'une grande colère. (Ⅱ) - καὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτω̃ν ἔταξαν ἀπειθη̃ του̃ μὴ εἰσακούειν του̃ νόμου μου καὶ τοὺς λόγους οὓς ἐξαπέστειλεν κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐν πνεύματι αὐτου̃ ἐν χερσὶν τω̃ν προφητω̃ν τω̃ν ἔμπροσθεν καὶ ἐγένετο ὀργὴ μεγάλη παρὰ κυρίου παντοκράτορος (Ⅲ) - Et cor suum posuerunt ut adamantem, ne audirent legem, et verba quæ misit Dominus exercituum in spiritu suo per manum prophetarum priorum : et facta est indignatio magna a Domino exercituum. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃7 ולבם שמו שמיר משמוע את התורה ואת הדברים אשר שלח יהוה צבאות ברוחו ביד הנביאים הראשנים ויהי קצף גדול מאת יהוה צבאות (Ⅴ)

Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:
- Quand il appelait, ils n'ont pas écouté: aussi n'ai-je pas écouté, quand ils ont appelé, dit l'Éternel des armées. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσται ὃν τρόπον εἰ̃πεν καὶ οὐκ εἰσήκουσαν αὐτου̃ οὕτως κεκράξονται καὶ οὐ μὴ εἰσακούσω λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ (Ⅲ) - Et factum est sicut locutus est, et non audierunt : sic clamabunt et non exaudiam, dicit Dominus exercituum. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃7 ויהי כאשר קרא ולא שמעו כן יקראו ולא אשמע אמר יהוה צבאות (Ⅴ)

But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.
- Je les ai dispersés parmi toutes les nations qu'ils ne connaissaient pas; le pays a été dévasté derrière eux, il n'y a plus eu ni allants ni venants; et d'un pays de délices ils ont fait un désert. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐκβαλω̃ αὐτοὺς εἰς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἃ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν καὶ ἡ γη̃ ἀφανισθήσεται κατόπισθεν αὐτω̃ν ἐκ διοδεύοντος καὶ ἐξ ἀναστρέφοντος καὶ ἔταξαν γη̃ν ἐκλεκτὴν εἰς ἀφανισμόν (Ⅲ) - Et dispersi eos per omnia regna quæ nesciunt : et terra desolata est ab eis, eo quod non esset transiens et revertens : et posuerunt terram desiderabilem in desertum. (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃7 ואסערם על כל הגוים אשר לא ידעום והארץ נשמה אחריהם מעבר ומשב וישימו ארץ חמדה לשמה פ (Ⅴ)
