Intellectus Asaph. [Ut quid, Deus, repulisti in finem,/ iratus est furor tuus super oves pascuæ tuæ ?/
- Cantique d'Asaph. Pourquoi, ô Dieu! rejettes-tu pour toujours? Pourquoi t'irrites-tu contre le troupeau de ton pâturage? (Ⅱ) - O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? (Ⅲ) - συνέσεως τω̨̃ Ασαφ ἵνα τί ἀπώσω ὁ θεός εἰς τέλος ὠργίσθη ὁ θυμός σου ἐπὶ πρόβατα νομη̃ς σου (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃74 משכיל לאסף למה אלהים זנחת לנצח יעשן אפך בצאן מרעיתך (Ⅴ)

Memor esto congregationis tuæ,/ quam possedisti ab initio./ Redemisti virgam hæreditatis tuæ,/ mons Sion, in quo habitasti in eo./
- Souviens-toi de ton peuple que tu as acquis autrefois, Que tu as racheté comme la tribu de ton héritage! Souviens-toi de la montagne de Sion, où tu faisais ta résidence; (Ⅱ) - Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt. (Ⅲ) - μνήσθητι τη̃ς συναγωγη̃ς σου ἡ̃ς ἐκτήσω ἀπ' ἀρχη̃ς ἐλυτρώσω ῥάβδον κληρονομίας σου ὄρος Σιων του̃το ὃ κατεσκήνωσας ἐν αὐτω̨̃ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃74 זכר עדתך קנית קדם גאלת שבט נחלתך הר ציון זה שכנת בו (Ⅴ)

Leva manus tuas in superbias eorum in finem :/ quanta malignatus est inimicus in sancto !/
- Porte tes pas vers ces lieux constamment dévastés! L'ennemi a tout ravagé dans le sanctuaire. (Ⅱ) - Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. (Ⅲ) - ἔπαρον τὰς χει̃ράς σου ἐπὶ τὰς ὑπερηφανίας αὐτω̃ν εἰς τέλος ὅσα ἐπονηρεύσατο ὁ ἐχθρὸς ἐν τοι̃ς ἁγίοις σου (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃74 הרימה פעמיך למשאות נצח כל הרע אויב בקדש (Ⅴ)

Et gloriati sunt qui oderunt te in medio solemnitatis tuæ ;/ posuerunt signa sua, signa :/
- Tes adversaires ont rugi au milieu de ton temple; Ils ont établi pour signes leurs signes. (Ⅱ) - Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐνεκαυχήσαντο οἱ μισου̃ντές σε ἐν μέσω̨ τη̃ς ἑορτη̃ς σου ἔθεντο τὰ σημει̃α αὐτω̃ν σημει̃α καὶ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃74 שאגו צרריך בקרב מועדך שמו אותתם אתות (Ⅴ)

et non cognoverunt sicut in exitu super summum./ Quasi in silva lignorum securibus/
- On les a vus, pareils à celui qui lève La cognée dans une épaisse forêt; (Ⅱ) - A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees. (Ⅲ) - ὡς εἰς τὴν εἴσοδον ὑπεράνω (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃74 יודע כמביא למעלה בסבך עץ קרדמות (Ⅴ)

exciderunt januas ejus in idipsum ;/ in securi et ascia dejecerunt eam./
- Et bientôt ils ont brisé toutes les sculptures, A coups de haches et de marteaux. (Ⅱ) - But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers. (Ⅲ) - ὡς ἐν δρυμω̨̃ ξύλων ἀξίναις ἐξέκοψαν τὰς θύρας αὐτη̃ς ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ ἐν πελέκει καὶ λαξευτηρίω̨ κατέρραξαν αὐτήν (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃74 *ועת **ועתה פתוחיה יחד בכשיל וכילפת יהלמון (Ⅴ)

Incenderunt igni sanctuarium tuum ;/ in terra polluerunt tabernaculum nominis tui./
- Ils ont mis le feu à ton sanctuaire; Ils ont abattu, profané la demeure de ton nom. (Ⅱ) - They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground. (Ⅲ) - ἐνεπύρισαν ἐν πυρὶ τὸ ἁγιαστήριόν σου εἰς τὴν γη̃ν ἐβεβήλωσαν τὸ σκήνωμα του̃ ὀνόματός σου (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃74 שלחו באש מקדשך לארץ חללו משכן שמך (Ⅴ)

Dixerunt in corde suo cognatio eorum simul :/ Quiescere faciamus omnes dies festos Dei a terra./
- Ils disaient en leur coeur: Traitons-les tous avec violence! Ils ont brûlé dans le pays tous les lieux saints. (Ⅱ) - They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land. (Ⅲ) - εἰ̃παν ἐν τη̨̃ καρδία̨ αὐτω̃ν ἡ συγγένεια αὐτω̃ν ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό δευ̃τε καὶ κατακαύσωμεν πάσας τὰς ἑορτὰς του̃ θεου̃ ἀπὸ τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃74 אמרו בלבם נינם יחד שרפו כל מועדי אל בארץ (Ⅴ)

Signa nostra non vidimus ;/ jam non est propheta ;/ et nos non cognoscet amplius./
- Nous ne voyons plus nos signes; Il n'y a plus de prophète, Et personne parmi nous qui sache jusqu'à quand... (Ⅱ) - We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long. (Ⅲ) - τὰ σημει̃α ἡμω̃ν οὐκ εἴδομεν οὐκ ἔστιν ἔτι προφήτης καὶ ἡμα̃ς οὐ γνώσεται ἔτι (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃74 אותתינו לא ראינו אין עוד נביא ולא אתנו ידע עד מה (Ⅴ)

Usquequo, Deus, improperabit inimicus ?/ irritat adversarius nomen tuum in finem ?/
- Jusqu'à quand, ô Dieu! l'oppresseur outragera-t-il, L'ennemi méprisera-t-il sans cesse ton nom? (Ⅱ) - O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever? (Ⅲ) - ἕως πότε ὁ θεός ὀνειδιει̃ ὁ ἐχθρός παροξυνει̃ ὁ ὑπεναντίος τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς τέλος (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃74 עד מתי אלהים יחרף צר ינאץ אויב שמך לנצח (Ⅴ)

Ut quid avertis manum tuam,/ et dexteram tuam de medio sinu tuo in finem ?/
- Pourquoi retires-tu ta main et ta droite? Sors-la de ton sein! détruis! (Ⅱ) - Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom. (Ⅲ) - ἵνα τί ἀποστρέφεις τὴν χει̃ρά σου καὶ τὴν δεξιάν σου ἐκ μέσου του̃ κόλπου σου εἰς τέλος (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃74 למה תשיב ידך וימינך מקרב *חוקך **חיקך כלה (Ⅴ)

Deus autem rex noster ante sæcula :/ operatus est salutem in medio terræ./
- Dieu est mon roi dès les temps anciens, Lui qui opère des délivrances au milieu de la terre. (Ⅱ) - For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. (Ⅲ) - ὁ δὲ θεὸς βασιλεὺς ἡμω̃ν πρὸ αἰω̃νος εἰργάσατο σωτηρίαν ἐν μέσω̨ τη̃ς γη̃ς (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃74 ואלהים מלכי מקדם פעל ישועות בקרב הארץ (Ⅴ)

Tu confirmasti in virtute tua mare ;/ contribulasti capita draconum in aquis./
- Tu as fendu la mer par ta puissance, Tu as brisé les têtes des monstres sur les eaux; (Ⅱ) - Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. (Ⅲ) - σὺ ἐκραταίωσας ἐν τη̨̃ δυνάμει σου τὴν θάλασσαν σὺ συνέτριψας τὰς κεφαλὰς τω̃ν δρακόντων ἐπὶ του̃ ὕδατος (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃74 אתה פוררת בעזך ים שברת ראשי תנינים על המים (Ⅴ)

Tu confregisti capita draconis ;/ dedisti eum escam populis Æthiopum./
- Tu as écrasé la tête du crocodile, Tu l'as donné pour nourriture au peuple du désert. (Ⅱ) - Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. (Ⅲ) - σὺ συνέθλασας τὰς κεφαλὰς του̃ δράκοντος ἔδωκας αὐτὸν βρω̃μα λαοι̃ς τοι̃ς Αἰθίοψιν (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃74 אתה רצצת ראשי לויתן תתננו מאכל לעם לציים (Ⅴ)

Tu dirupisti fontes et torrentes ;/ tu siccasti fluvios Ethan./
- Tu as fait jaillir des sources et des torrents. Tu as mis à sec des fleuves qui ne tarissent point. (Ⅱ) - Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers. (Ⅲ) - σὺ διέρρηξας πηγὰς καὶ χειμάρρους σὺ ἐξήρανας ποταμοὺς Ηθαμ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃74 אתה בקעת מעין ונחל אתה הובשת נהרות איתן (Ⅴ)

Tuus est dies, et tua est nox ;/ tu fabricatus es auroram et solem./
- A toi est le jour, à toi est la nuit; Tu as créé la lumière et le soleil. (Ⅱ) - The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun. (Ⅲ) - σή ἐστιν ἡ ἡμέρα καὶ σή ἐστιν ἡ νύξ σὺ κατηρτίσω φαυ̃σιν καὶ ἥλιον (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃74 לך יום אף לך לילה אתה הכינות מאור ושמש (Ⅴ)

Tu fecisti omnes terminos terræ ;/ æstatem et ver tu plasmasti ea./
- Tu as fixé toutes les limites de la terre, Tu as établi l'été et l'hiver. (Ⅱ) - Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter. (Ⅲ) - σὺ ἐποίησας πάντα τὰ ὅρια τη̃ς γη̃ς θέρος καὶ ἔαρ σὺ ἔπλασας αὐτά (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃74 אתה הצבת כל גבולות ארץ קיץ וחרף אתה יצרתם[1] (Ⅴ)

Memor esto hujus : inimicus improperavit Domino,/ et populus insipiens incitavit nomen tuum./
- Souviens-toi que l'ennemi outrage l'Éternel, Et qu'un peuple insensé méprise ton nom! (Ⅱ) - Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name. (Ⅲ) - μνήσθητι ταύτης ἐχθρὸς ὠνείδισεν τὸν κύριον καὶ λαὸς ἄφρων παρώξυνεν τὸ ὄνομά σου (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃74 זכר זאת אויב חרף יהוה ועם נבל נאצו שמך (Ⅴ)

Ne tradas bestiis animas confitentes tibi,/ et animas pauperum tuorum ne obliviscaris in finem./
- Ne livre pas aux bêtes l'âme de ta tourterelle, N'oublie pas à toujours la vie de tes malheureux! (Ⅱ) - O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever. (Ⅲ) - μὴ παραδω̨̃ς τοι̃ς θηρίοις ψυχὴν ἐξομολογουμένην σοι τω̃ν ψυχω̃ν τω̃ν πενήτων σου μὴ ἐπιλάθη̨ εἰς τέλος (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃74 אל תתן לחית נפש תורך חית ענייך אל תשכח לנצח (Ⅴ)

Respice in testamentum tuum,/ quia repleti sunt qui obscurati sunt terræ domibus iniquitatum./
- Aie égard à l'alliance! Car les lieux sombres du pays sont pleins de repaires de brigands. (Ⅱ) - Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. (Ⅲ) - ἐπίβλεψον εἰς τὴν διαθήκην σου ὅτι ἐπληρώθησαν οἱ ἐσκοτισμένοι τη̃ς γη̃ς οἴκων ἀνομιω̃ν (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃74 הבט לברית כי מלאו מחשכי ארץ נאות חמס (Ⅴ)

Ne avertatur humilis factus confusus ;/ pauper et inops laudabunt nomen tuum./
- Que l'opprimé ne retourne pas confus! Que le malheureux et le pauvre célèbrent ton nom! (Ⅱ) - O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name. (Ⅲ) - μὴ ἀποστραφήτω τεταπεινωμένος κατη̨σχυμμένος πτωχὸς καὶ πένης αἰνέσουσιν τὸ ὄνομά σου (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃74 אל ישב דך נכלם עני ואביון יהללו שמך (Ⅴ)

Exsurge, Deus, judica causam tuam ;/ memor esto improperiorum tuorum,/ eorum quæ ab insipiente sunt tota die./
- Lève-toi, ô Dieu! défends ta cause! Souviens-toi des outrages que te fait chaque jour l'insensé! (Ⅱ) - Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily. (Ⅲ) - ἀνάστα ὁ θεός δίκασον τὴν δίκην σου μνήσθητι τω̃ν ὀνειδισμω̃ν σου τω̃ν ὑπὸ ἄφρονος ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃74 קומה אלהים ריבה ריבך זכר חרפתך מני נבל כל היום (Ⅴ)

Ne obliviscaris voces inimicorum tuorum :/ superbia eorum qui te oderunt ascendit semper.]
- N'oublie pas les clameurs de tes adversaires, Le tumulte sans cesse croissant de ceux qui s'élèvent contre toi! (Ⅱ) - Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually. (Ⅲ) - μὴ ἐπιλάθη̨ τη̃ς φωνη̃ς τω̃ν ἱκετω̃ν σου ἡ ὑπερηφανία τω̃ν μισούντων σε ἀνέβη διὰ παντὸς πρὸς σέ (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃74 אל תשכח קול צרריך שאון קמיך עלה תמיד (Ⅴ)
