Non sunt occultata a filiis eorum in generatione altera,/ narrantes laudes Domini et virtutes ejus,/ et mirabilia ejus quĂŠ fecit./
- Nous ne le cacherons point Ă  leurs enfants; Nous dirons Ă  la gĂ©nĂ©ration future les louanges de l'Éternel, Et sa puissance, et les prodiges qu'il a opĂ©rĂ©s. (Ⅱ)
- We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. (Ⅲ)

ut cognoscat generatio altera :/ filii qui nascentur et exsurgent,/ et narrabunt filiis suis,/

ut ponant in Deo spem suam,/ et non obliviscantur operum Dei,/ et mandata ejus exquirant :/
- Afin qu'ils missent en Dieu leur confiance, Qu'ils n'oubliassent pas les oeuvres de Dieu, Et qu'ils observassent ses commandements, (Ⅱ)

ne fiant, sicut patres eorum,/ generatio prava et exasperans ;/ generatio quĂŠ non direxit cor suum,/ et non est creditus cum Deo spiritus ejus./
- Afin qu'ils ne fussent pas, comme leurs pĂšres, Une race indocile et rebelle, Une race dont le coeur n'Ă©tait pas ferme, Et dont l'esprit n'Ă©tait pas fidĂšle Ă  Dieu. (Ⅱ)
- And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God. (Ⅲ)

Non custodierunt testamentum Dei,/ et in lege ejus noluerunt ambulare./
- Ils ne gardĂšrent point l'alliance de Dieu, Et ils refusĂšrent de marcher selon sa loi. (Ⅱ)
- They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law; (Ⅲ)

- And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them. (Ⅲ)

- Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. (Ⅲ)

- Il fendit des rochers dans le dĂ©sert, Et il donna Ă  boire comme des flots abondants; (Ⅱ)
- He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. (Ⅲ)

- Du rocher il fit jaillir des sources, Et couler des eaux comme des fleuves. (Ⅱ)
- He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers. (Ⅲ)

- And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness. (Ⅲ)

Et tentaverunt Deum in cordibus suis,/ ut peterent escas animabus suis./

- And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust. (Ⅲ)
