Car c'est une loi pour Israël, Une ordonnance du Dieu de Jacob.
- For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι πρόσταγμα τω̨̃ Ισραηλ ἐστὶν καὶ κρίμα τω̨̃ θεω̨̃ Ιακωβ (Ⅲ) - quia præceptum in Israël est,/ et judicium Deo Jacob./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃81 כי חק לישראל הוא משפט לאלהי יעקב (Ⅴ)

Il en fit un statut pour Joseph, Quand il marcha contre le pays d'Égypte... J'entends une voix qui m'est inconnue:
- This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not. (Ⅱ) - μαρτύριον ἐν τω̨̃ Ιωσηφ ἔθετο αὐτὸν ἐν τω̨̃ ἐξελθει̃ν αὐτὸν ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου γλω̃σσαν ἣν οὐκ ἔγνω ἤκουσεν (Ⅲ) - Testimonium in Joseph posuit illud,/ cum exiret de terra Ægypti ;/ linguam quam non noverat, audivit./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃81 עדות ביהוסף שמו בצאתו על ארץ מצרים שפת לא ידעתי אשמע (Ⅴ)

J'ai déchargé son épaule du fardeau, Et ses mains ont lâché la corbeille.
- I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots. (Ⅱ) - ἀπέστησεν ἀπὸ ἄρσεων τὸν νω̃τον αὐτου̃ αἱ χει̃ρες αὐτου̃ ἐν τω̨̃ κοφίνω̨ ἐδούλευσαν (Ⅲ) - Divertit ab oneribus dorsum ejus ;/ manus ejus in cophino servierunt./ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃81 הסירותי מסבל שכמו כפיו מדוד תעברנה (Ⅴ)

Tu as crié dans la détresse, et je t'ai délivré; Je t'ai répondu dans la retraite du tonnerre; Je t'ai éprouvé près des eaux de Meriba. Pause.
- Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah. (Ⅱ) - ἐν θλίψει ἐπεκαλέσω με καὶ ἐρρυσάμην σε ἐπήκουσά σου ἐν ἀποκρύφω̨ καταιγίδος ἐδοκίμασά σε ἐπὶ ὕδατος ἀντιλογίας διάψαλμα (Ⅲ) - In tribulatione invocasti me, et liberavi te./ Exaudivi te in abscondito tempestatis ;/ probavi te apud aquam contradictionis./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃81 בצרה קראת ואחלצך אענך בסתר רעם אבחנך על מי מריבה סלה (Ⅴ)

Écoute, mon peuple! et je t'avertirai; Israël, puisses-tu m'écouter!
- Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me; (Ⅱ) - ἄκουσον λαός μου καὶ διαμαρτύρομαί σοι Ισραηλ ἐὰν ἀκούση̨ς μου (Ⅲ) - Audi, populus meus, et contestabor te./ Israël, si audieris me,/ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃81 שמע עמי ואעידה בך ישראל אם תשמע לי (Ⅴ)

Qu'il n'y ait au milieu de toi point de dieu étranger! Ne te prosterne pas devant des dieux étrangers!
- There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god. (Ⅱ) - οὐκ ἔσται ἐν σοὶ θεὸς πρόσφατος οὐδὲ προσκυνήσεις θεω̨̃ ἀλλοτρίω̨ (Ⅲ) - non erit in te deus recens,/ neque adorabis deum alienum./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃81 לא יהיה בך אל זר ולא תשתחוה לאל נכר (Ⅴ)

Je suis l'Éternel, ton Dieu, qui t'ai fait monter du pays d'Égypte; Ouvre ta bouche, et je la remplirai.
- I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. (Ⅱ) - ἐγὼ γάρ εἰμι κύριος ὁ θεός σου ὁ ἀναγαγών σε ἐκ γη̃ς Αἰγύπτου πλάτυνον τὸ στόμα σου καὶ πληρώσω αὐτό (Ⅲ) - Ego enim sum Dominus Deus tuus,/ qui eduxi te de terra Ægypti./ Dilata os tuum, et implebo illud./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃81 אנכי יהוה אלהיך המעלך מארץ מצרים הרחב פיך ואמלאהו (Ⅴ)

Mais mon peuple n'a point écouté ma voix, Israël ne m'a point obéi.
- But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. (Ⅱ) - καὶ οὐκ ἤκουσεν ὁ λαός μου τη̃ς φωνη̃ς μου καὶ Ισραηλ οὐ προσέσχεν μοι (Ⅲ) - Et non audivit populus meus vocem meam,/ et Israël non intendit mihi./ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃81 ולא שמע עמי לקולי וישראל לא אבה לי (Ⅴ)

Alors je les ai livrés aux penchants de leur coeur, Et ils ont suivi leurs propres conseils.
- So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐξαπέστειλα αὐτοὺς κατὰ τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα τω̃ν καρδιω̃ν αὐτω̃ν πορεύσονται ἐν τοι̃ς ἐπιτηδεύμασιν αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Et dimisi eos secundum desideria cordis eorum ;/ ibunt in adinventionibus suis./ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃81 ואשלחהו בשרירות לבם ילכו במועצותיהם (Ⅴ)

Oh! si mon peuple m'écoutait, Si Israël marchait dans mes voies!
- Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! (Ⅱ) - εἰ ὁ λαός μου ἤκουσέν μου Ισραηλ ται̃ς ὁδοι̃ς μου εἰ ἐπορεύθη (Ⅲ) - Si populus meus audisset me,/ Israël si in viis meis ambulasset,/ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃81 לו עמי שמע לי ישראל בדרכי יהלכו (Ⅴ)

En un instant je confondrais leurs ennemis, Je tournerais ma main contre leurs adversaires;
- I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries. (Ⅱ) - ἐν τω̨̃ μηδενὶ ἂν τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτω̃ν ἐταπείνωσα καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς θλίβοντας αὐτοὺς ἐπέβαλον τὴν χει̃ρά μου (Ⅲ) - pro nihilo forsitan inimicos eorum humiliassem,/ et super tribulantes eos misissem manum meam./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃81 כמעט אויביהם אכניע ועל צריהם אשיב ידי (Ⅴ)

Ceux qui haïssent l'Éternel le flatteraient, Et le bonheur d'Israël durerait toujours;
- The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever. (Ⅱ) - οἱ ἐχθροὶ κυρίου ἐψεύσαντο αὐτω̨̃ καὶ ἔσται ὁ καιρὸς αὐτω̃ν εἰς τὸν αἰω̃να (Ⅲ) - Inimici Domini mentiti sunt ei,/ et erit tempus eorum in sæcula./ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃81 משנאי יהוה יכחשו לו ויהי עתם לעולם (Ⅴ)

Je le nourrirais du meilleur froment, Et je le rassasierais du miel du rocher.
- He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐψώμισεν αὐτοὺς ἐκ στέατος πυρου̃ καὶ ἐκ πέτρας μέλι ἐχόρτασεν αὐτούς (Ⅲ) - Et cibavit eos ex adipe frumenti,/ et de petra melle saturavit eos.] (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃81 ויאכילהו מחלב חטה ומצור דבש אשביעך (Ⅴ)
