Cependant Saul, respirant encore la menace et le meurtre contre les disciples du Seigneur, se rendit chez le souverain sacrificateur,
- And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, (Ⅱ) - Ὁ δὲ Σαῦλος ἔτι ἐμπνέων ἀπειλῆς καὶ φόνου εἰς τοὺς μαθητὰς τοῦ κυρίου, προσελθὼν τῷ ἀρχιερεῖ (Ⅲ) - Saulus autem adhuc spirans minarum et cædis in discipulos Domini, accessit ad principem sacerdotum, (Ⅳ)

et lui demanda des lettres pour les synagogues de Damas, afin que, s'il trouvait des partisans de la nouvelle doctrine, hommes ou femmes, il les amenât liés à Jérusalem.
- And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. (Ⅱ) - ᾐτήσατο παρ’ αὐτοῦ ἐπιστολὰς εἰς Δαμασκὸν πρὸς τὰς συναγωγάς, ὅπως ἐάν τινας εὕρῃ τῆς ὁδοῦ ὄντας, ἄνδρας τε καὶ γυναῖκας, δεδεμένους ἀγάγῃ εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ. (Ⅲ) - et petiit ab eo epistolas in Damascum ad synagogas : ut si quos invenisset hujus viæ viros ac mulieres, vinctos perduceret in Jerusalem.\ (Ⅳ)

Comme il était en chemin, et qu'il approchait de Damas, tout à coup une lumière venant du ciel resplendit autour de lui.
- And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: (Ⅱ) - ἐν δὲ τῷ πορεύεσθαι ἐγένετο αὐτὸν ἐγγίζειν τῇ Δαμασκῷ, ⸂ἐξαίφνης τε αὐτὸν περιήστραψεν⸃ φῶς ⸀ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, (Ⅲ) - Et cum iter faceret, contigit ut appropinquaret Damasco : et subito circumfulsit eum lux de cælo. Il tomba par terre, et il entendit une voix qui lui disait: Saul, Saul, pourquoi me persécutes-tu?
- And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? (Ⅱ) - καὶ πεσὼν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἤκουσεν φωνὴν λέγουσαν αὐτῷ Σαοὺλ Σαούλ, τί με διώκεις; (Ⅲ) - Et cadens in terram audivit vocem dicentem sibi : Saule, Saule, quid me persequeris ? (Ⅳ)

Il répondit: Qui es-tu, Seigneur? Et le Seigneur dit: Je suis Jésus que tu persécutes. Il te serait dur de regimber contre les aiguillons.
- And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. (Ⅱ) - εἶπεν δέ· Τίς εἶ, κύριε; ὁ ⸀δέ· Ἐγώ εἰμι Ἰησοῦς ὃν σὺ διώκεις· (Ⅲ) - Qui dixit : Quis es, domine ? Et ille : Ego sum Jesus, quem tu persequeris : durum est tibi contra stimulum calcitrare. (Ⅳ)

Tremblant et saisi d'effroi, il dit: Seigneur, que veux-tu que je fasse? Et le Seigneur lui dit: Lève-toi, entre dans la ville, et on te dira ce que tu dois faire.
- And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. (Ⅱ) - ἀλλὰ ἀνάστηθι καὶ εἴσελθε εἰς τὴν πόλιν, καὶ λαληθήσεταί σοι ⸂ὅ τί⸃ σε δεῖ ποιεῖν. (Ⅲ) - Et tremens ac stupens dixit : Domine, quid me vis facere ? (Ⅳ)

Les hommes qui l'accompagnaient demeurèrent stupéfaits; ils entendaient bien la voix, mais ils ne voyaient personne.
- And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. (Ⅱ) - οἱ δὲ ἄνδρες οἱ συνοδεύοντες αὐτῷ εἱστήκεισαν ἐνεοί, ἀκούοντες μὲν τῆς φωνῆς μηδένα δὲ θεωροῦντες. (Ⅲ) - Et Dominus ad eum : Surge, et ingredere civitatem, et ibi dicetur tibi quid te oporteat facere. Viri autem illi qui comitabantur cum eo, stabant stupefacti, audientes quidem vocem, neminem autem videntes. (Ⅳ)

Saul se releva de terre, et, quoique ses yeux fussent ouverts, il ne voyait rien; on le prit par la main, et on le conduisit à Damas.
- And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. (Ⅱ) - ἠγέρθη δὲ ⸀Σαῦλος ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς, ἀνεῳγμένων ⸀δὲ τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτοῦ ⸀οὐδὲν ἔβλεπεν· χειραγωγοῦντες δὲ αὐτὸν εἰσήγαγον εἰς Δαμασκόν. (Ⅲ) - Surrexit autem Saulus de terra, apertisque oculis nihil videbat. Ad manus autem illum trahentes, introduxerunt Damascum. (Ⅳ)

Il resta trois jours sans voir, et il ne mangea ni ne but.
- And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἦν ἡμέρας τρεῖς μὴ βλέπων, καὶ οὐκ ἔφαγεν οὐδὲ ἔπιεν. (Ⅲ) - Et erat ibi tribus diebus non videns, et non manducavit, neque bibit.\ (Ⅳ)

Or, il y avait à Damas un disciple nommé Ananias. Le Seigneur lui dit dans une vision: Ananias! Il répondit: Me voici, Seigneur!
- And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. (Ⅱ) - Ἦν δέ τις μαθητὴς ἐν Δαμασκῷ ὀνόματι Ἁνανίας, καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ⸂ἐν ὁράματι ὁ κύριος⸃· Ἁνανία. ὁ δὲ εἶπεν· Ἰδοὺ ἐγώ, κύριε. Et le Seigneur lui dit: Lève-toi, va dans la rue qu'on appelle la droite, et cherche, dans la maison de Judas, un nommé Saul de Tarse.
- And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, (Ⅱ) - ὁ δὲ κύριος πρὸς αὐτόν· ⸀Ἀναστὰς πορεύθητι ἐπὶ τὴν ῥύμην τὴν καλουμένην Εὐθεῖαν καὶ ζήτησον ἐν οἰκίᾳ Ἰούδα Σαῦλον ὀνόματι Ταρσέα, ἰδοὺ γὰρ προσεύχεται, (Ⅲ) - Et Dominus ad eum : Surge, et vade in vicum qui vocatur Rectus : et quære in domo Judæ Saulum nomine Tarsensem : ecce enim orat. Car il prie, et il a vu en vision un homme du nom d'Ananias, qui entrait, et qui lui imposait les mains, afin qu'il recouvrât la vue. Ananias répondit:
- And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἶδεν ⸂ἄνδρα ἐν ὁράματι Ἁνανίαν ὀνόματι⸃ εἰσελθόντα καὶ ἐπιθέντα αὐτῷ ⸀χεῖρας ὅπως ἀναβλέψῃ. (Ⅲ) - (Et vidit virum Ananiam nomine, introëuntem, et imponentem sibi manus ut visum recipiat.) Seigneur, j'ai appris de plusieurs personnes tous les maux que cet homme a faits à tes saints dans Jérusalem;
- Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: (Ⅱ) - ἀπεκρίθη δὲ Ἁνανίας· Κύριε, ⸀ἤκουσα ἀπὸ πολλῶν περὶ τοῦ ἀνδρὸς τούτου, ὅσα κακὰ ⸂τοῖς ἁγίοις σου ἐποίησεν⸃ ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ· (Ⅲ) - Respondit autem Ananias : Domine, audivi a multis de viro hoc, quanta mala fecerit sanctis tuis in Jerusalem : (Ⅳ)

et il a ici des pouvoirs, de la part des principaux sacrificateurs, pour lier tous ceux qui invoquent ton nom.
- And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὧδε ἔχει ἐξουσίαν παρὰ τῶν ἀρχιερέων δῆσαι πάντας τοὺς ἐπικαλουμένους τὸ ὄνομά σου. (Ⅲ) - et hic habet potestatem a principibus sacerdotum alligandi omnes qui invocant nomen tuum. (Ⅳ)

Mais le Seigneur lui dit: Va, car cet homme est un instrument que j'ai choisi, pour porter mon nom devant les nations, devant les rois, et devant les fils d'Israël;
- But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: (Ⅱ) - εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ κύριος· Πορεύου, ὅτι σκεῦος ἐκλογῆς ⸂ἐστίν μοι⸃ οὗτος τοῦ βαστάσαι τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐνώπιον ⸀ἐθνῶν ⸀τε καὶ βασιλέων υἱῶν τε Ἰσραήλ, (Ⅲ) - Dixit autem ad eum Dominus : Vade, quoniam vas electionis est mihi iste, ut portet nomen meum coram gentibus, et regibus, et filiis Israël. (Ⅳ)

et je lui montrerai tout ce qu'il doit souffrir pour mon nom.
- For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. (Ⅱ) - ἐγὼ γὰρ ὑποδείξω αὐτῷ ὅσα δεῖ αὐτὸν ὑπὲρ τοῦ ὀνόματός μου παθεῖν. (Ⅲ) - Ego enim ostendam illi quanta oporteat eum pro nomine meo pati.\ (Ⅳ)

Ananias sortit; et, lorsqu'il fut arrivé dans la maison, il imposa les mains à Saul, en disant: Saul, mon frère, le Seigneur Jésus, qui t'est apparu sur le chemin par lequel tu venais, m'a envoyé pour que tu recouvres la vue et que tu sois rempli du Saint Esprit.
- And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. (Ⅱ) - ἀπῆλθεν δὲ Ἁνανίας καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν, καὶ ἐπιθεὶς ἐπ’ αὐτὸν τὰς χεῖρας εἶπεν· Σαοὺλ ἀδελφέ, ὁ κύριος ἀπέσταλκέν με, ⸀Ἰησοῦς ὁ ὀφθείς σοι ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ᾗ ἤρχου, ὅπως ἀναβλέψῃς καὶ πλησθῇς πνεύματος ἁγίου. (Ⅲ) - Et abiit Ananias, et introivit in domum : et imponens ei manus, dixit : Saule frater, Dominus misit me Jesus, qui apparuit tibi in via qua veniebas, ut videas, et implearis Spiritu Sancto. (Ⅳ)

Au même instant, il tomba de ses yeux comme des écailles, et il recouvra la vue. Il se leva, et fut baptisé;
- And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εὐθέως ἀπέπεσαν ⸂αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν⸃ ⸀ὡς λεπίδες, ἀνέβλεψέν τε καὶ ἀναστὰς ἐβαπτίσθη, (Ⅲ) - Et confestim ceciderunt ab oculis ejus tamquam squamæ, et visum recepit : et surgens baptizatus est. (Ⅳ)

et, après qu'il eut pris de la nourriture, les forces lui revinrent. Saul resta quelques jours avec les disciples qui étaient à Damas.
- And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus. (Ⅱ) - καὶ λαβὼν τροφὴν ⸀ἐνίσχυσεν. Ἐγένετο ⸀δὲ μετὰ τῶν ἐν Δαμασκῷ μαθητῶν ἡμέρας τινὰς, (Ⅲ) - Et cum accepisset cibum, confortatus est.\ Fuit autem cum discipulis qui erant Damasci per dies aliquot. (Ⅳ)

Et aussitôt il prêcha dans les synagogues que Jésus est le Fils de Dieu.
- And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εὐθέως ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς ἐκήρυσσεν τὸν ⸀Ἰησοῦν ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ. (Ⅲ) - Et continuo in synagogis prædicabat Jesum, quoniam hic est Filius Dei. (Ⅳ)

Tous ceux qui l'entendaient étaient dans l'étonnement, et disaient: N'est-ce pas celui qui persécutait à Jérusalem ceux qui invoquent ce nom, et n'est-il pas venu ici pour les emmener liés devant les principaux sacrificateurs?
- But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? (Ⅱ) - ἐξίσταντο δὲ πάντες οἱ ἀκούοντες καὶ ἔλεγον· Οὐχ οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ πορθήσας ⸀ἐν Ἰερουσαλὴμ τοὺς ἐπικαλουμένους τὸ ὄνομα τοῦτο, καὶ ὧδε εἰς τοῦτο ἐληλύθει ἵνα δεδεμένους αὐτοὺς ἀγάγῃ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀρχιερεῖς; (Ⅲ) - Stupebant autem omnes qui audiebant, et dicebant : Nonne hic est qui expugnabat in Jerusalem eos qui invocabant nomen istud : et huc ad hoc venit, ut vinctos illos duceret ad principes sacerdotum ? (Ⅳ)

Cependant Saul se fortifiait de plus en plus, et il confondait les Juifs qui habitaient Damas, démontrant que Jésus est le Christ.
- But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ. (Ⅱ) - Σαῦλος δὲ μᾶλλον ἐνεδυναμοῦτο καὶ ⸀συνέχυννεν ⸀τοὺς Ἰουδαίους τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν Δαμασκῷ, συμβιβάζων ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ χριστός. (Ⅲ) - Saulus autem multo magis convalescebat, et confundebat Judæos qui habitabant Damasci, affirmans quoniam hic est Christus. (Ⅳ)

Au bout d'un certain temps, les Juifs se concertèrent pour le tuer,
- And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him: (Ⅱ) - Ὡς δὲ ἐπληροῦντο ἡμέραι ἱκαναί, συνεβουλεύσαντο οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἀνελεῖν αὐτόν· (Ⅲ) - Cum autem implerentur dies multi, consilium fecerunt in unum Judæi ut eum interficerent. (Ⅳ)

et leur complot parvint à la connaissance de Saul. On gardait les portes jour et nuit, afin de lui ôter la vie.
- But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him. (Ⅱ) - ἐγνώσθη δὲ τῷ Σαύλῳ ἡ ἐπιβουλὴ αὐτῶν. ⸂παρετηροῦντο δὲ καὶ⸃ τὰς πύλας ἡμέρας τε καὶ νυκτὸς ὅπως αὐτὸν ἀνέλωσιν· (Ⅲ) - Notæ autem factæ sunt Saulo insidiæ eorum. Custodiebant autem et portas die ac nocte, ut eum interficerent. (Ⅳ)

Mais, pendant une nuit, les disciples le prirent, et le descendirent par la muraille, dans une corbeille.
- Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket. (Ⅱ) - λαβόντες δὲ ⸂οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ⸃ νυκτὸς ⸂διὰ τοῦ τείχους καθῆκαν αὐτὸν⸃ χαλάσαντες ἐν σπυρίδι. (Ⅲ) - Accipientes autem eum discipuli nocte, per murum dimiserunt eum, submittentes in sporta.\ (Ⅳ)

Lorsqu'il se rendit à Jérusalem, Saul tâcha de se joindre à eux; mais tous le craignaient, ne croyant pas qu'il fût un disciple.
- And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple. (Ⅱ) - Παραγενόμενος δὲ ⸀εἰς Ἰερουσαλὴμ ⸀ἐπείραζεν κολλᾶσθαι τοῖς μαθηταῖς· καὶ πάντες ἐφοβοῦντο αὐτόν, μὴ πιστεύοντες ὅτι ἐστὶν μαθητής. (Ⅲ) - Cum autem venisset in Jerusalem, tentabat se jungere discipulis, et omnes timebant eum, non credentes quod esset discipulus. (Ⅳ)

Alors Barnabas, l'ayant pris avec lui, le conduisit vers les apôtres, et leur raconta comment sur le chemin Saul avait vu le Seigneur, qui lui avait parlé, et comment à Damas il avait prêché franchement au nom de Jésus.
- But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. (Ⅱ) - Βαρναβᾶς δὲ ἐπιλαβόμενος αὐτὸν ἤγαγεν πρὸς τοὺς ἀποστόλους, καὶ διηγήσατο αὐτοῖς πῶς ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ εἶδεν τὸν κύριον καὶ ὅτι ἐλάλησεν αὐτῷ καὶ πῶς ἐν Δαμασκῷ ἐπαρρησιάσατο ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι ⸀τοῦ Ἰησοῦ. (Ⅲ) - Barnabas autem apprehensum illum duxit ad Apostolos : et narravit illis quomodo in via vidisset Dominum, et quia locutus est ei, et quomodo in Damasco fiducialiter egerit in nomine Jesu. (Ⅳ)

Il allait et venait avec eux dans Jérusalem, et s'exprimait en toute assurance au nom du Seigneur.
- And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἦν μετ’ αὐτῶν εἰσπορευόμενος ⸂καὶ ἐκπορευόμενος⸃ εἰς ⸀Ἰερουσαλήμ, παρρησιαζόμενος ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι τοῦ ⸀κυρίου, (Ⅲ) - Et erat cum illis intrans et exiens in Jerusalem, et fiducialiter agens in nomine Domini. (Ⅳ)

Il parlait aussi et disputait avec les Hellénistes; mais ceux-ci cherchaient à lui ôter la vie.
- And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him. (Ⅱ) - ἐλάλει τε καὶ συνεζήτει πρὸς τοὺς Ἑλληνιστάς· οἱ δὲ ἐπεχείρουν ⸂ἀνελεῖν αὐτόν⸃. (Ⅲ) - Loquebatur quoque gentibus, et disputabat cum Græcis : illi autem quærebant occidere eum.\ (Ⅳ)

Les frères, l'ayant su, l'emmenèrent à Césarée, et le firent partir pour Tarse.
- Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus. (Ⅱ) - ἐπιγνόντες δὲ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ κατήγαγον αὐτὸν εἰς Καισάρειαν καὶ ἐξαπέστειλαν αὐτὸν εἰς Ταρσόν. (Ⅲ) - Quod cum cognovissent fratres, deduxerunt eum Cæsaream, et dimiserunt Tarsum. (Ⅳ)

L'Église était en paix dans toute la Judée, la Galilée et la Samarie, s'édifiant et marchant dans la crainte du Seigneur, et elle s'accroissait par l'assistance du Saint Esprit.
- Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied. (Ⅱ) - ⸂Ἡ μὲν οὖν ἐκκλησία καθ’ ὅλης τῆς Ἰουδαίας καὶ Γαλιλαίας καὶ Σαμαρείας εἶχεν εἰρήνην οἰκοδομουμένη, καὶ πορευομένη τῷ φόβῳ τοῦ κυρίου καὶ τῇ παρακλήσει τοῦ ἁγίου πνεύματος ἐπληθύνετο⸃. (Ⅲ) - Ecclesia quidem per totam Judæam, et Galilæam, et Samariam habebat pacem, et ædificabatur ambulans in timore Domini, et consolatione Sancti Spiritus replebatur.\ (Ⅳ)

Comme Pierre visitait tous les saints, il descendit aussi vers ceux qui demeuraient à Lydde.
- And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda. (Ⅱ) - Ἐγένετο δὲ Πέτρον διερχόμενον διὰ πάντων κατελθεῖν καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἁγίους τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Λύδδα. (Ⅲ) - Factum est autem, ut Petrus dum pertransiret universos, deveniret ad sanctos qui habitabant Lyddæ. (Ⅳ)

Il y trouva un homme nommé Énée, couché sur un lit depuis huit ans, et paralytique.
- And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy. (Ⅱ) - εὗρεν δὲ ἐκεῖ ἄνθρωπόν τινα ⸂ὀνόματι Αἰνέαν⸃ ἐξ ἐτῶν ὀκτὼ κατακείμενον ἐπὶ ⸀κραβάττου, ὃς ἦν παραλελυμένος. - And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἶδαν αὐτὸν πάντες οἱ κατοικοῦντες Λύδδα καὶ τὸν ⸀Σαρῶνα, οἵτινες ἐπέστρεψαν ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον. (Ⅲ) - Et viderunt eum omnes qui habitabant Lyddæ et Saronæ : qui conversi sunt ad Dominum.\ (Ⅳ)

Il y avait à Joppé, parmi les disciples, une femme nommée Tabitha, ce qui signifie Dorcas: elle faisait beaucoup de bonnes oeuvres et d'aumônes.
- Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. (Ⅱ) - Ἐν Ἰόππῃ δέ τις ἦν μαθήτρια ὀνόματι Ταβιθά, ἣ διερμηνευομένη λέγεται Δορκάς· αὕτη ἦν πλήρης ⸂ἔργων ἀγαθῶν⸃ καὶ ἐλεημοσυνῶν ὧν ἐποίει. (Ⅲ) - In Joppe autem fuit quædam discipula, nomine Tabitha, quæ interpretata dicitur Dorcas. Hæc erat plena operibus bonis et eleemosynis quas faciebat. (Ⅳ)

- And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. (Ⅱ) - ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις ἀσθενήσασαν αὐτὴν ἀποθανεῖν· λούσαντες δὲ ⸂ἔθηκαν αὐτὴν⸃ ἐν ὑπερῴῳ. (Ⅲ) - Factum est autem in diebus illis ut infirmata moreretur. Comme Lydde est près de Joppé, les disciples, ayant appris que Pierre s'y trouvait, envoyèrent deux hommes vers lui, pour le prier de venir chez eux sans tarder.
- And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. (Ⅱ) - ἐγγὺς δὲ οὔσης Λύδδας τῇ Ἰόππῃ οἱ μαθηταὶ ἀκούσαντες ὅτι Πέτρος ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ ἀπέστειλαν ⸂δύο ἄνδρας⸃ πρὸς αὐτὸν παρακαλοῦντες· Μὴ ⸀ὀκνήσῃς διελθεῖν ἕως ⸀ἡμῶν· (Ⅲ) - Cum autem prope esset Lydda ad Joppen, discipuli, audientes quia Petrus esset in ea, miserunt duos viros ad eum, rogantes : Ne pigriteris venire ad nos. (Ⅳ)

Pierre se leva, et partit avec ces hommes. Lorsqu'il fut arrivé, on le conduisit dans la chambre haute. Toutes les veuves l'entourèrent en pleurant, et lui montrèrent les tuniques et les vêtements que faisait Dorcas pendant qu'elle était avec elles.
- Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. (Ⅱ) - ἀναστὰς δὲ Πέτρος συνῆλθεν αὐτοῖς· ὃν παραγενόμενον ἀνήγαγον εἰς τὸ ὑπερῷον, καὶ παρέστησαν αὐτῷ πᾶσαι αἱ χῆραι κλαίουσαι καὶ ἐπιδεικνύμεναι χιτῶνας καὶ ἱμάτια ὅσα ἐποίει μετ’ αὐτῶν οὖσα ἡ Δορκάς. (Ⅲ) - Exsurgens autem Petrus, venit cum illis. Et cum advenisset, duxerunt illum in cœnaculum : et circumsteterunt illum omnes viduæ flentes, et ostendentes ei tunicas et vestes quas faciebat illis Dorcas. (Ⅳ)

Pierre fit sortir tout le monde, se mit à genoux, et pria; puis, se tournant vers le corps, il dit: Tabitha, lève-toi! Elle ouvrit les yeux, et ayant vu Pierre, elle s'assit.
- But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. (Ⅱ) - ἐκβαλὼν δὲ ἔξω πάντας ὁ Πέτρος ⸀καὶ θεὶς τὰ γόνατα προσηύξατο, καὶ ἐπιστρέψας πρὸς τὸ σῶμα εἶπεν· Ταβιθά, ἀνάστηθι. ἡ δὲ ἤνοιξεν τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῆς, καὶ ἰδοῦσα τὸν Πέτρον ἀνεκάθισεν. (Ⅲ) - Ejectis autem omnibus foras, Petrus ponens genua oravit : et conversus ad corpus, dixit : Tabitha, surge. At illa aperuit oculos suos : et viso Petro, resedit. (Ⅳ)

Il lui donna la main, et la fit lever. Il appela ensuite les saints et les veuves, et la leur présenta vivante.
- And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. (Ⅱ) - δοὺς δὲ αὐτῇ χεῖρα ἀνέστησεν αὐτήν, φωνήσας δὲ τοὺς ἁγίους καὶ τὰς χήρας παρέστησεν αὐτὴν ζῶσαν. (Ⅲ) - Dans autem illi manum, erexit eam. Et cum vocasset sanctos et viduas, assignavit eam vivam. (Ⅳ)

Cela fut connu de tout Joppé, et beaucoup crurent au Seigneur.
- And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord. (Ⅱ) - γνωστὸν δὲ ἐγένετο καθ’ ὅλης ⸀τῆς Ἰόππης, καὶ ⸂ἐπίστευσαν πολλοὶ⸃ ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον. (Ⅲ) - Notum autem factum est per universam Joppen : et crediderunt multi in Domino. (Ⅳ)

Pierre demeura quelque temps à Joppé, chez un corroyeur nommé Simon.
- And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner. (Ⅱ) - ἐγένετο ⸀δὲ ἡμέρας ἱκανὰς ⸀μεῖναι ἐν Ἰόππῃ παρά τινι Σίμωνι βυρσεῖ. (Ⅲ) - Factum est autem ut dies multos moraretur in Joppe, apud Simonem quemdam coriarium. (Ⅳ)
