Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!
- Oh! si ma tête était remplie d'eau, Si mes yeux étaient une source de larmes, Je pleurerais jour et nuit Les morts de la fille de mon peuple! (Ⅱ) - τίς δώσει κεφαλη̨̃ μου ὕδωρ καὶ ὀφθαλμοι̃ς μου πηγὴν δακρύων καὶ κλαύσομαι τὸν λαόν μου του̃τον ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτός τοὺς τετραυματισμένους θυγατρὸς λαου̃ μου (Ⅲ) - Quis dabit capiti meo aquam,/ et oculis meis fontem lacrimarum,/ et plorabo die ac nocte interfectos filiæ populi mei ?/ (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃9 מי יתנני במדבר מלון ארחים ואעזבה את עמי ואלכה מאתם כי כלם מנאפים עצרת בגדים (Ⅴ)

Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.
- Oh! si j'avais au désert une cabane de voyageurs, J'abandonnerais mon peuple, je m'en éloignerais! Car ce sont tous des adultères, C'est une troupe de perfides. (Ⅱ) - τίς δώ̨η μοι ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ σταθμὸν ἔσχατον καὶ καταλείψω τὸν λαόν μου καὶ ἀπελεύσομαι ἀπ' αὐτω̃ν ὅτι πάντες μοιχω̃νται σύνοδος ἀθετούντων (Ⅲ) - Quis dabit me in solitudine diversorium viatorum,/ et derelinquam populum meum,/ et recedam ab eis ?/ quia omnes adulteri sunt,/ cœtus prævaricatorum./ (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃9 וידרכו את לשונם קשתם שקר ולא לאמונה גברו בארץ כי מרעה אל רעה יצאו ואתי לא ידעו נאם יהוה ס (Ⅴ)

And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.
- Ils ont la langue tendue comme un arc et lancent le mensonge; Ce n'est pas par la vérité qu'ils sont puissants dans le pays; Car ils vont de méchanceté en méchanceté, Et ils ne me connaissent pas, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐνέτειναν τὴν γλω̃σσαν αὐτω̃ν ὡς τόξον ψευ̃δος καὶ οὐ πίστις ἐνίσχυσεν ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς ὅτι ἐκ κακω̃ν εἰς κακὰ ἐξήλθοσαν καὶ ἐμὲ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν (Ⅲ) - Et extenderunt linguam suam/ quasi arcum mendacii et non veritatis :/ confortati sunt in terra,/ quia de malo ad malum egressi sunt,/ et me non cognoverunt, dicit Dominus./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃9 איש מרעהו השמרו ועל כל אח אל תבטחו כי כל אח עקוב יעקב וכל רע רכיל יהלך (Ⅴ)

Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.
- Que chacun se tienne en garde contre son ami, Et qu'on ne se fie à aucun de ses frères; Car tout frère cherche à tromper, Et tout ami répand des calomnies. (Ⅱ) - ἕκαστος ἀπὸ του̃ πλησίον αὐτου̃ φυλάξασθε καὶ ἐπ' ἀδελφοι̃ς αὐτω̃ν μὴ πεποίθατε ὅτι πα̃ς ἀδελφὸς πτέρνη̨ πτερνιει̃ καὶ πα̃ς φίλος δολίως πορεύσεται (Ⅲ) - Unusquisque se a proximo suo custodiat,/ et in omni fratre suo non habeat fiduciam :/ quia omnis frater supplantans supplantabit,/ et omnis amicus fraudulenter incedet./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃9 ואיש ברעהו יהתלו ואמת לא ידברו למדו לשונם דבר שקר העוה נלאו (Ⅴ)

And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.
- Ils se jouent les uns des autres, Et ne disent point la vérité; Ils exercent leur langue à mentir, Ils s'étudient à faire le mal. (Ⅱ) - ἕκαστος κατὰ του̃ φίλου αὐτου̃ καταπαίξεται ἀλήθειαν οὐ μὴ λαλήσωσιν μεμάθηκεν ἡ γλω̃σσα αὐτω̃ν λαλει̃ν ψευδη̃ ἠδίκησαν καὶ οὐ διέλιπον του̃ ἐπιστρέψαι (Ⅲ) - Et vir fratrem suum deridebit,/ et veritatem non loquentur :/ docuerunt enim linguam suam loqui mendacium ;/ ut inique agerent laboraverunt./ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃9 שבתך בתוך מרמה במרמה מאנו דעת אותי נאם יהוה ס (Ⅴ)

Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.
- Ta demeure est au sein de la fausseté; C'est par fausseté qu'ils refusent de me connaître, Dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - τόκος ἐπὶ τόκω̨ δόλος ἐπὶ δόλω̨ οὐκ ἤθελον εἰδέναι με (Ⅲ) - Habitatio tua in medio doli :/ in dolo renuerunt scire me, dicit Dominus./ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃9 לכן כה אמר יהוה צבאות הנני צורפם ובחנתים כי איך אעשה מפני בת עמי (Ⅴ)

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?
- C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Voici je les sonderai, je les éprouverai. Car comment agir à l'égard de la fille de mon peuple? (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ πυρώσω αὐτοὺς καὶ δοκιμω̃ αὐτούς ὅτι ποιήσω ἀπὸ προσώπου πονηρίας θυγατρὸς λαου̃ μου (Ⅲ) - Propterea hæc dicit Dominus exercituum :/ Ecce ego conflabo, et probabo eos :/ quid enim aliud faciam a facie filiæ populi mei ?/ (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃9 חץ *שוחט **שחוט לשונם מרמה דבר בפיו שלום את רעהו ידבר[c] ובקרבו ישים ארבו (Ⅴ)

Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.
- Leur langue est un trait meurtrier, Ils ne disent que des mensonges; De la bouche ils parlent de paix à leur prochain, Et au fond du coeur ils lui dressent des pièges. (Ⅱ) - βολὶς τιτρώσκουσα ἡ γλω̃σσα αὐτω̃ν δόλια τὰ ῥήματα του̃ στόματος αὐτω̃ν τω̨̃ πλησίον αὐτου̃ λαλει̃ εἰρηνικὰ καὶ ἐν ἑαυτω̨̃ ἔχει τὴν ἔχθραν (Ⅲ) - Sagitta vulnerans lingua eorum,/ dolum locuta est./ In ore suo pacem cum amico suo loquitur,/ et occulte ponit ei insidias./ (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃9 העל אלה לא אפקד בם נאם יהוה אם בגוי אשר כזה לא תתנקם נפשי ס (Ⅴ)

Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
- Ne les châtierais-je pas pour ces choses-là, dit l'Éternel, Ne me vengerais-je pas d'une pareille nation? (Ⅱ) - μὴ ἐπὶ τούτοις οὐκ ἐπισκέψομαι λέγει κύριος ἢ ἐν λαω̨̃ τω̨̃ τοιούτω̨ οὐκ ἐκδικήσει ἡ ψυχή μου (Ⅲ) - Numquid super his non visitabo, dicit Dominus,/ aut in gente hujusmodi non ulciscetur anima mea ?/ (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃9 על ההרים אשא בכי ונהי ועל נאות מדבר קינה כי נצתו מבלי איש עבר ולא שמעו קול מקנה מעוף השמים ועד בהמה נדדו הלכו (Ⅴ)

For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.
- Sur les montagnes je veux pleurer et gémir, Sur les plaines du désert je prononce une complainte; Car elles sont brûlées, personne n'y passe, On n'y entend plus la voix des troupeaux; Les oiseaux du ciel et les bêtes ont pris la fuite, ont disparu. - (Ⅱ) - ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη λάβετε κοπετὸν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς τρίβους τη̃ς ἐρήμου θρη̃νον ὅτι ἐξέλιπον παρὰ τὸ μὴ εἰ̃ναι ἀνθρώπους οὐκ ἤκουσαν φωνὴν ὑπάρξεως ἀπὸ πετεινω̃ν του̃ οὐρανου̃ καὶ ἕως κτηνω̃ν ἐξέστησαν ὤ̨χοντο (Ⅲ) - Super montes assumam fletum ac lamentum,/ et super speciosa deserti planctum,/ quoniam incensa sunt, eo quod non sit vir pertransiens,/ et non audierunt vocem possidentis :/ a volucre cæli usque ad pecora transmigraverunt et recesserunt./ (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃9 ונתתי את ירושלם לגלים מעון תנים ואת ערי יהודה אתן שממה מבלי יושב ס (Ⅴ)

And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.
- Je ferai de Jérusalem un monceau de ruines, un repaire de chacals, Et je réduirai les villes de Juda en un désert sans habitants. - (Ⅱ) - καὶ δώσω τὴν Ιερουσαλημ εἰς μετοικίαν καὶ εἰς κατοικητήριον δρακόντων καὶ τὰς πόλεις Ιουδα εἰς ἀφανισμὸν θήσομαι παρὰ τὸ μὴ κατοικει̃σθαι (Ⅲ) - Et dabo Jerusalem in acervos arenæ,/ et cubilia draconum :/ et civitates Juda dabo in desolationem,/ eo quod non sit habitator./ (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃9 מי האיש החכם ויבן את זאת ואשר דבר פי יהוה אליו ויגדה על מה אבדה הארץ נצתה כמדבר מבלי עבר ס (Ⅴ)

Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?
- Où est l'homme sage qui comprenne ces choses? Qu'il le dise, celui à qui la bouche de l'Éternel a parlé! Pourquoi le pays est-il détruit, Brûlé comme un désert où personne ne passe? (Ⅱ) - τίς ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ συνετός καὶ συνέτω του̃το καὶ ὡ̨̃ λόγος στόματος κυρίου πρὸς αὐτόν ἀναγγειλάτω ὑμι̃ν ἕνεκεν τίνος ἀπώλετο ἡ γη̃ ἀνήφθη ὡς ἔρημος παρὰ τὸ μὴ διοδεύεσθαι αὐτήν (Ⅲ) - Quis est vir sapiens qui intelligat hoc,/ et ad quem verbum oris Domini fiat, ut annuntiet istud,/ quare perierit terra, et exusta sit quasi desertum,/ eo quod non sit qui pertranseat ?/ (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃9 ויאמר יהוה על עזבם את תורתי אשר נתתי לפניהם ולא שמעו בקולי ולא הלכו בה (Ⅴ)

And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;
- L'Éternel dit: C'est parce qu'ils ont abandonné ma loi, Que j'avais mise devant eux; Parce qu'ils n'ont point écouté ma voix, Et qu'ils ne l'ont point suivie; (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριος πρός με διὰ τὸ ἐγκαταλιπει̃ν αὐτοὺς τὸν νόμον μου ὃν ἔδωκα πρὸ προσώπου αὐτω̃ν καὶ οὐκ ἤκουσαν τη̃ς φωνη̃ς μου (Ⅲ) - Et dixit Dominus :/ Quia dereliquerunt legem meam quam dedi eis,/ et non audierunt vocem meam,/ et non ambulaverunt in ea,/ (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃9 וילכו אחרי שררות לבם ואחרי הבעלים אשר למדום אבותם ס (Ⅴ)

But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:
- Parce qu'ils ont suivi les penchants de leur coeur, Et qu'ils sont allés après les Baals, Comme leurs pères le leur ont appris. (Ⅱ) - ἀλλ' ἐπορεύθησαν ὀπίσω τω̃ν ἀρεστω̃ν τη̃ς καρδίας αὐτω̃ν τη̃ς κακη̃ς καὶ ὀπίσω τω̃ν εἰδώλων ἃ ἐδίδαξαν αὐτοὺς οἱ πατέρες αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - et abierunt post pravitatem cordis sui,/ et post Baalim, quod didicerunt a patribus suis :/ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃9 לכן כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל הנני מאכילם את העם הזה לענה והשקיתים מי ראש (Ⅴ)

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.
- C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici, je vais nourrir ce peuple d'absinthe, Et je lui ferai boire des eaux empoisonnées. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ψωμιω̃ αὐτοὺς ἀνάγκας καὶ ποτιω̃ αὐτοὺς ὕδωρ χολη̃ς (Ⅲ) - idcirco hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël :/ Ecce ego cibabo populum istum absinthio,/ et potum dabo eis aquam fellis./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃9 והפצותים בגוים אשר לא ידעו המה ואבותם ושלחתי אחריהם את החרב עד כלותי אותם פ (Ⅴ)

I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.
- Je les disperserai parmi des nations Que n'ont connues ni eux ni leurs pères, Et j'enverrai derrière eux l'épée, Jusqu'à ce que je les aie exterminés. (Ⅱ) - καὶ διασκορπιω̃ αὐτοὺς ἐν τοι̃ς ἔθνεσιν εἰς οὓς οὐκ ἐγίνωσκον αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ πατέρες αὐτω̃ν καὶ ἐπαποστελω̃ ἐπ' αὐτοὺς τὴν μάχαιραν ἕως του̃ ἐξαναλω̃σαι αὐτοὺς ἐν αὐτη̨̃ (Ⅲ) - Et dispergam eos in gentibus/ quas non noverunt ipsi et patres eorum,/ et mittam post eos gladium,/ donec consumantur./ (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃9 כה אמר יהוה צבאות התבוננו וקראו למקוננות ותבואינה ואל החכמות שלחו ותבואנה (Ⅴ)

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may come:
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Cherchez, appelez les pleureuses, et qu'elles viennent! Envoyez vers les femmes habiles, et qu'elles viennent! (Ⅱ) - τάδε λέγει κύριος καλέσατε τὰς θρηνούσας καὶ ἐλθέτωσαν καὶ πρὸς τὰς σοφὰς ἀποστείλατε καὶ φθεγξάσθωσαν (Ⅲ) - Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël :/ Contemplamini, et vocate lamentatrices, et veniant :/ et ad eas quæ sapientes sunt mittite, et properent :/ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃9 ותמהרנה ותשנה עלינו נהי ותרדנה עינינו דמעה ועפעפינו יזלו מים (Ⅴ)

And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.
- Qu'elles se hâtent de dire sur nous une complainte! Et que les larmes tombent de nos yeux, Que l'eau coule de nos paupières! (Ⅱ) - καὶ λαβέτωσαν ἐφ' ὑμα̃ς θρη̃νον καὶ καταγαγέτωσαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμω̃ν δάκρυα καὶ τὰ βλέφαρα ὑμω̃ν ῥείτω ὕδωρ (Ⅲ) - festinent, et assumant super nos lamentum :/ deducant oculi nostri lacrimas,/ et palpebræ nostræ defluant aquis./ (Ⅳ) - 18 ׃9 כי קול נהי נשמע מציון איך שדדנו בשנו מאד כי עזבנו ארץ כי השליכו משכנותינו ס (Ⅴ)

For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.
- Car des cris lamentables se font entendre de Sion: Eh quoi! nous sommes détruits! Nous sommes couverts de honte! Il nous faut abandonner le pays! On a renversé nos demeures! - (Ⅱ) - ὅτι φωνὴ οἴκτου ἠκούσθη ἐν Σιων πω̃ς ἐταλαιπωρήσαμεν κατη̨σχύνθημεν σφόδρα ὅτι ἐγκατελίπομεν τὴν γη̃ν καὶ ἀπερρίψαμεν τὰ σκηνώματα ἡμω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Quia vox lamentationis audita est de Sion :/ Quomodo vastati sumus,/ et confusi vehementer ?/ quia dereliquimus terram ;/ quoniam dejecta sunt tabernacula nostra./ (Ⅳ) - 19 ׃9 כי שמענה נשים דבר יהוה ותקח אזנכם דבר פיו ולמדנה בנותיכם נהי ואשה רעותה קינה (Ⅴ)

Yet hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbour lamentation.
- Femmes, écoutez la parole de l'Éternel, Et que votre oreille saisisse ce que dit sa bouche! Apprenez à vos filles des chants lugubres, Enseignez-vous des complaintes les unes aux autres! (Ⅱ) - ἀκούσατε δή γυναι̃κες λόγον θεου̃ καὶ δεξάσθω τὰ ὠ̃τα ὑμω̃ν λόγους στόματος αὐτου̃ καὶ διδάξατε τὰς θυγατέρας ὑμω̃ν οἰ̃κτον καὶ γυνὴ τὴν πλησίον αὐτη̃ς θρη̃νον (Ⅲ) - Audite ergo, mulieres, verbum Domini,/ et assumant aures vestræ sermonem oris ejus,/ et docete filias vestras lamentum,/ et unaquæque proximam suam planctum :/ (Ⅳ) - 20 ׃9 כי עלה מות בחלונינו בא בארמנותינו להכרית עולל מחוץ בחורים מרחבות (Ⅴ)

For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.
- Car la mort est montée par nos fenêtres, Elle a pénétré dans nos palais; Elle extermine les enfants dans la rue, Les jeunes gens sur les places. (Ⅱ) - ὅτι ἀνέβη θάνατος διὰ τω̃ν θυρίδων ὑμω̃ν εἰση̃λθεν εἰς τὴν γη̃ν ὑμω̃ν του̃ ἐκτρι̃ψαι νήπια ἔξωθεν καὶ νεανίσκους ἀπὸ τω̃ν πλατειω̃ν (Ⅲ) - quia ascendit mors per fenestras nostras ;/ ingressa est domos nostras,/ disperdere parvulos deforis,/ juvenes de plateis.] (Ⅳ) - 21 ׃9 דבר כה נאם יהוה ונפלה נבלת האדם כדמן על פני השדה וכעמיר מאחרי הקצר ואין מאסף ס (Ⅴ)

Speak, Thus saith the LORD, Even the carcases of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them.
- Dis: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Les cadavres des hommes tomberont Comme du fumier sur les champs, Comme tombe derrière le moissonneur une gerbe Que personne ne ramasse. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔσονται οἱ νεκροὶ τω̃ν ἀνθρώπων εἰς παράδειγμα ἐπὶ προσώπου του̃ πεδίου τη̃ς γη̃ς ὑμω̃ν καὶ ὡς χόρτος ὀπίσω θερίζοντος καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ συνάγων (Ⅲ) - Loquere : [Hæc dicit Dominus :/ Et cadet morticinum hominis/ quasi stercus super faciem regionis,/ et quasi fœnum post tergum metentis,/ et non est qui colligat./ (Ⅳ) - 22 ׃9 כה אמר יהוה אל יתהלל חכם בחכמתו ואל יתהלל הגבור בגבורתו אל יתהלל עשיר בעשרו (Ⅴ)

Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
- Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Que le sage ne se glorifie pas de sa sagesse, Que le fort ne se glorifie pas de sa force, Que le riche ne se glorifie pas de sa richesse. (Ⅱ) - τάδε λέγει κύριος μὴ καυχάσθω ὁ σοφὸς ἐν τη̨̃ σοφία̨ αὐτου̃ καὶ μὴ καυχάσθω ὁ ἰσχυρὸς ἐν τη̨̃ ἰσχύι αὐτου̃ καὶ μὴ καυχάσθω ὁ πλούσιος ἐν τω̨̃ πλούτω̨ αὐτου̃ (Ⅲ) - Hæc dicit Dominus :/ Non glorietur sapiens in sapientia sua,/ et non glorietur fortis in fortitudine sua,/ et non glorietur dives in divitiis suis :/ (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃9 כי אם בזאת יתהלל המתהלל השכל וידע אותי כי אני יהוה עשה חסד משפט וצדקה בארץ כי באלה חפצתי נאם יהוה ס (Ⅴ)

But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
- Mais que celui qui veut se glorifier se glorifie D'avoir de l'intelligence et de me connaître, De savoir que je suis l'Éternel, Qui exerce la bonté, le droit et la justice sur la terre; Car c'est à cela que je prends plaisir, dit l'Éternel. (Ⅱ) - ἀλλ' ἢ ἐν τούτω̨ καυχάσθω ὁ καυχώμενος συνίειν καὶ γινώσκειν ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος ποιω̃ν ἔλεος καὶ κρίμα καὶ δικαιοσύνην ἐπὶ τη̃ς γη̃ς ὅτι ἐν τούτοις τὸ θέλημά μου λέγει κύριος (Ⅲ) - sed in hoc glorietur, qui gloriatur,/ scire et nosse me,/ quia ego sum Dominus qui facio misericordiam,/ et judicium, et justitiam in terra :/ hæc enim placent mihi, ait Dominus./ (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃9 הנה ימים באים נאם יהוה ופקדתי על כל מול בערלה (Ⅴ)

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;
- Voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Éternel, Où je châtierai tous les circoncis qui ne le sont pas de coeur, (Ⅱ) - ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται λέγει κύριος καὶ ἐπισκέψομαι ἐπὶ πάντας περιτετμημένους ἀκροβυστίας αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - Ecce dies veniunt, dicit Dominus,/ et visitabo super omnem qui circumcisum habet præputium,/ (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃9 על מצרים ועל יהודה ועל אדום ועל בני עמון ועל מואב ועל כל קצוצי פאה הישבים במדבר כי כל הגוים ערלים וכל בית ישראל ערלי לב ס (Ⅴ)

Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.
- L'Égypte, Juda, Édom, les enfants d'Ammon, Moab, Tous ceux qui se rasent les coins de la barbe, Ceux qui habitent dans le désert; Car toutes les nations sont incirconcises, Et toute la maison d'Israël a le coeur incirconcis. (Ⅱ) - ἐπ' Αἴγυπτον καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν Ιουδαίαν καὶ ἐπὶ Εδωμ καὶ ἐπὶ υἱοὺς Αμμων καὶ ἐπὶ υἱοὺς Μωαβ καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα περικειρόμενον τὰ κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτου̃ τοὺς κατοικου̃ντας ἐν τη̨̃ ἐρήμω̨ ὅτι πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἀπερίτμητα σαρκί καὶ πα̃ς οἰ̃κος Ισραηλ ἀπερίτμητοι καρδίας αὐτω̃ν (Ⅲ) - super Ægyptum, et super Juda, et super Edom,/ et super filios Ammon, et super Moab ;/ et super omnes qui attonsi sunt in comam,/ habitantes in deserto :/ quia omnes gentes habent præputium,/ omnis autem domus Israël incircumcisi sunt corde.] (Ⅳ)
