Universus ergo Israël dinumeratus est, et summa eorum scripta est in libro regum Israël et Juda : translatique sunt in Babylonem propter delictum suum.
- Tout Israël est enregistré dans les généalogies et inscrit dans le livre des rois d'Israël. Et Juda fut emmené captif à Babylone, à cause de ses infidélités. (Ⅱ) - So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their transgression. Qui autem habitaverunt primi in possessionibus et in urbibus suis : Israël, et sacerdotes, et Levitæ, et Nathinæi.
- Les premiers habitants qui demeuraient dans leurs possessions, dans leurs villes, étaient les Israélites, les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, et les Néthiniens. (Ⅱ) - Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims. Omnes hi electi in ostiarios per portas, ducenti duodecim : et descripti in villis propriis, quos constituerunt David, et Samuel videns, in fide sua,
- Ils étaient en tout deux cent douze, choisis pour portiers des seuils, et enregistrés dans les généalogies d'après leurs villages; David et Samuel le voyant les avaient établis dans leurs fonctions. (Ⅱ) - All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office. (Ⅱ) - So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards. (Ⅲ) - καὶ οὑ̃τοι καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτω̃ν ἐπὶ τω̃ν πυλω̃ν ἐν οἴκω̨ κυρίου ἐν οἴκω̨ τη̃ς σκηνη̃ς του̃ φυλάσσειν (Ⅳ) - 23 ׃9 והם ובניהם על השערים לבית יהוה לבית האהל למשמרות (Ⅴ)

Per quatuor ventos erant ostiarii : id est, ad orientem, et ad occidentem, et ad aquilonem, et ad austrum.
- Il y avait des portiers aux quatre vents, à l'orient, à l'occident, au nord et au midi. (Ⅱ) - In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south. (Ⅲ) - κατὰ τοὺς τέσσαρας ἀνέμους ἠ̃σαν αἱ πύλαι κατ' ἀνατολάς θάλασσαν βορρα̃ν νότον (Ⅳ) - 24 ׃9 לארבע רוחות יהיו השערים מזרח ימה צפונה ונגבה (Ⅴ)

Fratres autem eorum in viculis morabantur, et veniebant in sabbatis suis de tempore usque ad tempus.
- Leurs frères, qui demeuraient dans leurs villages, devaient de temps à autre venir auprès d'eux pendant sept jours. (Ⅱ) - And their brethren, which were in their villages, were to come after seven days from time to time with them. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτω̃ν ἐν ται̃ς αὐλαι̃ς αὐτω̃ν του̃ εἰσπορεύεσθαι κατὰ ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ἀπὸ καιρου̃ εἰς καιρὸν μετὰ τούτων (Ⅳ) - 25 ׃9 ואחיהם בחצריהם לבוא לשבעת הימים מעת אל עת עם אלה (Ⅴ)

His quatuor Levitis creditus erat omnis numerus janitorum, et erant super exedras et thesauros domus Domini.
- Car ces quatre chefs des portiers, ces Lévites, étaient toujours en fonctions, et ils avaient encore la surveillance des chambres et des trésors de la maison de Dieu; (Ⅱ) - For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God. (Ⅲ) - ὅτι ἐν πίστει εἰσὶν τέσσαρες δυνατοὶ τω̃ν πυλω̃ν οἱ Λευι̃ται ἠ̃σαν ἐπὶ τω̃ν παστοφορίων καὶ ἐπὶ τω̃ν θησαυρω̃ν οἴκου του̃ θεου̃ (Ⅳ) - 26 ׃9 כי באמונה המה ארבעת גברי השערים הם הלוים והיו על הלשכות ועל האצרות בית האלהים (Ⅴ)

Per gyrum quoque templi Domini morabantur in custodiis suis : ut cum tempus fuisset, ipsi mane aperirent fores.\
- ils passaient la nuit autour de la maison de Dieu, dont ils avaient la garde, et qu'ils devaient ouvrir chaque matin. (Ⅱ) - And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them. (Ⅲ) - καὶ περικύκλω̨ οἴκου του̃ θεου̃ παρεμβαλου̃σιν ὅτι ἐπ' αὐτοὺς φυλακή καὶ οὑ̃τοι ἐπὶ τω̃ν κλειδω̃ν τὸ πρωὶ πρωὶ ἀνοίγειν τὰς θύρας του̃ ἱερου̃ (Ⅳ) - 27 ׃9 וסביבות בית האלהים ילינו כי עליהם משמרת והם על המפתח ולבקר לבקר (Ⅴ)

De horum genere erant et super vasa ministerii : ad numerum enim et inferebantur vasa, et efferebantur.
- Quelques-uns des Lévites prenaient soin des ustensiles du service, qu'ils rentraient en les comptant et sortaient en les comptant. (Ⅱ) - And certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale. (Ⅲ) - καὶ ἐξ αὐτω̃ν ἐπὶ τὰ σκεύη τη̃ς λειτουργίας ὅτι ἐν ἀριθμω̨̃ εἰσοίσουσιν αὐτὰ καὶ ἐν ἀριθμω̨̃ ἐξοίσουσιν αὐτά (Ⅳ) - 28 ׃9 ומהם על כלי העבודה כי במספר יביאום ובמספר יוציאום (Ⅴ)

Et Mathathias Levites primogenitus Sellum Coritæ, præfectus erat eorum quæ in sartagine frigebantur.
- Matthithia, l'un des Lévites, premier-né de Schallum le Koréite, s'occupait des gâteaux cuits sur la plaque. (Ⅱ) - And Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans. Hi sunt principes cantorum per familias Levitarum, qui in exedris morabantur, ut die ac nocte jugiter suo ministerio deservirent.
- Ce sont là les chantres, chefs de famille des Lévites, demeurant dans les chambres, exempts des autres fonctions parce qu'ils étaient à l'oeuvre jour et nuit. (Ⅱ) - And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night. - Ce sont là les chefs de famille des Lévites, chefs selon leurs générations. Ils habitaient à Jérusalem. (Ⅱ) - These chief fathers of the Levites were chief throughout their generations; these dwelt at Jerusalem. And they also dwelt with their brethren at Jerusalem, over against their brethren. - Ner engendra Kis; Kis engendra Saül; Saül engendra Jonathan, Malki Schua, Abinadab et Eschbaal. (Ⅱ) - And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal. - Atsel eut six fils, dont voici les noms: Azrikam, Bocru, Ismaël, Scheari, Abdias et Hanan. Ce sont là les fils d'Atsel. (Ⅱ) - And Azel had six sons, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel.
