Le huitième mois, la seconde année de Darius, la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Zacharie, fils de Bérékia, fils d'Iddo, le prophète, en ces mots:
- In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, (Ⅱ) - ἐν τω̨̃ ὀγδόω̨ μηνὶ ἔτους δευτέρου ἐπὶ Δαρείου ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ζαχαριαν τὸν του̃ Βαραχιου υἱὸν Αδδω τὸν προφήτην λέγων (Ⅲ) - In mense octavo, in anno secundo Darii regis, factum est verbum Domini ad Zachariam filium Barachiæ filii Addo prophetam, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃1 בחדש השמיני בשנת שתים לדריוש היה דבר יהוה אל זכריה בן ברכיה בן עדו הנביא לאמר (Ⅴ)

L'Éternel a été très irrité contre vos pères.
- The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers. (Ⅱ) - ὠργίσθη κύριος ἐπὶ τοὺς πατέρας ὑμω̃ν ὀργὴν μεγάλην (Ⅲ) - Iratus est Dominus super patres vestros iracundia. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃1 קצף יהוה על אבותיכם קצף (Ⅴ)

Dis-leur donc: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Revenez à moi, dit l'Éternel des armées, et je reviendrai à vous, dit l'Éternel des armées.
- Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἐρει̃ς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐπιστρέψατε πρός με καὶ ἐπιστραφήσομαι πρὸς ὑμα̃ς λέγει κύριος (Ⅲ) - Et dices ad eos : [Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum :/ Convertimini ad me, ait Dominus exercituum,/ et convertar ad vos, dicit Dominus exercituum./ (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃1 ואמרת אלהם כה אמר יהוה צבאות שובו אלי נאם יהוה צבאות ואשוב אליכם אמר יהוה צבאות (Ⅴ)

Ne soyez pas comme vos pères, auxquels s'adressaient les premiers prophètes, en disant: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Détournez-vous de vos mauvaises voies, de vos mauvaises actions! Mais ils n'écoutèrent pas, ils ne firent pas attention à moi, dit l'Éternel.
- Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD. (Ⅱ) - καὶ μὴ γίνεσθε καθὼς οἱ πατέρες ὑμω̃ν οἱ̃ς ἐνεκάλεσαν αὐτοι̃ς οἱ προφη̃ται οἱ ἔμπροσθεν λέγοντες τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἀποστρέψατε ἀπὸ τω̃ν ὁδω̃ν ὑμω̃ν τω̃ν πονηρω̃ν καὶ ἀπὸ τω̃ν ἐπιτηδευμάτων ὑμω̃ν τω̃ν πονηρω̃ν καὶ οὐ προσέσχον του̃ εἰσακου̃σαί μου λέγει κύριος (Ⅲ) - Ne sitis sicut patres vestri,/ ad quos clamabant prophetæ priores, dicentes :/ Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum :/ Convertimini de viis vestris malis,/ et de cogitationibus vestris pessimis :/ et non audierunt, neque attenderunt ad me,/ dicit Dominus./ (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃1 אל תהיו כאבתיכם אשר קראו אליהם הנביאים הראשנים לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות שובו נא מדרכיכם הרעים *ומעליליכם **ומעלליכם[U] הרעים ולא שמעו ולא הקשיבו אלי נאם יהוה (Ⅴ)

Vos pères, où sont-ils? et les prophètes pouvaient-ils vivre éternellement?
- Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever? (Ⅱ) - οἱ πατέρες ὑμω̃ν που̃ εἰσιν καὶ οἱ προφη̃ται μὴ τὸν αἰω̃να ζήσονται (Ⅲ) - Patres vestri, ubi sunt ?/ et prophetæ numquid in sempiternum vivent ?/ (Ⅳ) - 5 ׃1 אבותיכם איה הם והנבאים הלעולם יחיו (Ⅴ)

Cependant mes paroles et les ordres que j'avais donnés à mes serviteurs, les prophètes, n'ont-ils pas atteint vos pères? Ils se sont retournés, et ils ont dit: L'Éternel des armées nous a traités comme il avait résolu de le faire selon nos voies et nos actions.
- But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us. (Ⅱ) - πλὴν τοὺς λόγους μου καὶ τὰ νόμιμά μου δέχεσθε ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαι ἐν πνεύματί μου τοι̃ς δούλοις μου τοι̃ς προφήταις οἳ κατελάβοσαν τοὺς πατέρας ὑμω̃ν καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν καὶ εἰ̃παν καθὼς παρατέτακται κύριος παντοκράτωρ του̃ ποιη̃σαι κατὰ τὰς ὁδοὺς ὑμω̃ν καὶ κατὰ τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα ὑμω̃ν οὕτως ἐποίησεν ὑμι̃ν (Ⅲ) - Verumtamen verba mea, et legitima mea,/ quæ mandavi servis meis prophetis,/ numquid non comprehenderunt patres vestros,/ et conversi sunt, et dixerunt :/ Sicut cogitavit Dominus exercituum facere nobis/ secundum vias nostras, et secundum adinventiones nostras,/ fecit nobis ?]\ (Ⅳ) - 6 ׃1 אך דברי וחקי אשר צויתי את עבדי הנביאים הלוא השיגו אבתיכם וישובו ויאמרו כאשר זמם יהוה צבאות לעשות לנו כדרכינו וכמעללינו כן עשה אתנו ס (Ⅴ)

Le vingt-quatrième jour du onzième mois, qui est le mois de Schebat, la seconde année de Darius, la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Zacharie, fils de Bérékia, fils d'Iddo, le prophète, en ces mots:
- Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, (Ⅱ) - τη̨̃ τετράδι καὶ εἰκάδι τω̨̃ ἑνδεκάτω̨ μηνί οὑ̃τός ἐστιν ὁ μὴν Σαβατ ἐν τω̨̃ δευτέρω̨ ἔτει ἐπὶ Δαρείου ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ζαχαριαν τὸν του̃ Βαραχιου υἱὸν Αδδω τὸν προφήτην λέγων (Ⅲ) - In die vigesima et quarta undecimi mensis Sabath, in anno secundo Darii, factum est verbum Domini ad Zachariam filium Barachiæ filii Addo prophetam, dicens : (Ⅳ) - 7 ׃1 ביום עשרים וארבעה לעשתי עשר חדש הוא חדש שבט בשנת שתים לדריוש היה דבר יהוה אל זכריה בן ברכיהו בן עדוא הנביא לאמר (Ⅴ)

Je regardai pendant la nuit, et voici, un homme était monté sur un cheval roux, et se tenait parmi des myrtes dans un lieu ombragé; il y avait derrière lui des chevaux roux, fauves, et blancs.
- I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white. (Ⅱ) - ἑώρακα τὴν νύκτα καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ ἐπιβεβηκὼς ἐπὶ ἵππον πυρρόν καὶ οὑ̃τος εἱστήκει ἀνὰ μέσον τω̃ν δύο ὀρέων τω̃ν κατασκίων καὶ ὀπίσω αὐτου̃ ἵπποι πυρροὶ καὶ ψαροὶ καὶ ποικίλοι καὶ λευκοί (Ⅲ) - Vidi per noctem, et ecce vir ascendens super equum rufum, et ipse stabat inter myrteta, quæ erant in profundo, et post eum equi rufi, varii, et albi. (Ⅳ) - 8 ׃1 ראיתי הלילה והנה איש רכב על סוס אדם והוא עמד בין ההדסים אשר במצלה ואחריו סוסים אדמים שרקים ולבנים (Ⅴ)

Je dis: Qui sont ces chevaux, mon seigneur? Et l'ange qui parlait avec moi me dit: Je te ferai voir qui sont ces chevaux.
- Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πα τί οὑ̃τοι κύριε καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ λαλω̃ν ἐν ἐμοί ἐγὼ δείξω σοι τί ἐστιν ταυ̃τα (Ⅲ) - Et dixi : Quid sunt isti, domine mi ? Et dixit ad me angelus qui loquebatur in me : Ego ostendam tibi quid sint hæc. (Ⅳ) - 9 ׃1 ואמר מה אלה אדני ויאמר אלי המלאך הדבר בי אני אראך מה המה אלה (Ⅴ)

L'homme qui se tenait parmi les myrtes prit la parole et dit: Ce sont ceux que l'Éternel a envoyés pour parcourir la terre.
- And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ ἀνὴρ ὁ ἐφεστηκὼς ἀνὰ μέσον τω̃ν ὀρέων καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με οὑ̃τοί εἰσιν οὓς ἐξαπέσταλκεν κύριος του̃ περιοδευ̃σαι τὴν γη̃ν (Ⅲ) - Et respondit vir qui stabat inter myrteta, et dixit : Isti sunt quos misit Dominus ut perambulent terram. (Ⅳ) - 10 ׃1 ויען האיש העמד בין ההדסים[U] ויאמר אלה אשר שלח יהוה להתהלך בארץ (Ⅴ)

Et ils s'adressèrent à l'ange de l'Éternel, qui se tenait parmi les myrtes, et ils dirent: Nous avons parcouru la terre, et voici, toute la terre est en repos et tranquille.
- And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν τω̨̃ ἀγγέλω̨ κυρίου τω̨̃ ἐφεστω̃τι ἀνὰ μέσον τω̃ν ὀρέων καὶ εἰ̃πον περιωδεύκαμεν πα̃σαν τὴν γη̃ν καὶ ἰδοὺ πα̃σα ἡ γη̃ κατοικει̃ται καὶ ἡσυχάζει (Ⅲ) - Et responderunt angelo Domini, qui stabat inter myrteta, et dixerunt : Perambulavimus terram, et ecce omnis terra habitatur, et quiescit. (Ⅳ) - 11 ׃1 ויענו את מלאך יהוה העמד בין ההדסים ויאמרו התהלכנו בארץ והנה כל הארץ ישבת ושקטת (Ⅴ)

Alors l'ange de l'Éternel prit la parole et dit: Éternel des armées, jusques à quand n'auras-tu pas compassion de Jérusalem et des villes de Juda, contre lesquelles tu es irrité depuis soixante-dix ans?
- Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years? (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ ἄγγελος κυρίου καὶ εἰ̃πεν κύριε παντοκράτωρ ἕως τίνος οὐ μὴ ἐλεήση̨ς τὴν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ τὰς πόλεις Ιουδα ἃς ὑπερει̃δες του̃το ἑβδομηκοστὸν ἔτος (Ⅲ) - Et respondit angelus Domini, et dixit : Domine exercituum, usquequo tu non misereberis Jerusalem, et urbium Juda, quibus iratus es ? iste jam septuagesimus annus est. (Ⅳ) - 12 ׃1 ויען מלאך יהוה ויאמר יהוה צבאות עד מתי אתה לא תרחם את ירושלם ואת ערי יהודה אשר זעמתה זה שבעים שנה (Ⅴ)

L'Éternel répondit par de bonnes paroles, par des paroles de consolation, à l'ange qui parlait avec moi.
- And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἀπεκρίθη κύριος παντοκράτωρ τω̨̃ ἀγγέλω̨ τω̨̃ λαλου̃ντι ἐν ἐμοὶ ῥήματα καλὰ καὶ λόγους παρακλητικούς (Ⅲ) - Et respondit Dominus angelo qui loquebatur in me verba bona, verba consolatoria. (Ⅳ) - 13 ׃1 ויען יהוה את המלאך הדבר בי דברים טובים דברים נחמים (Ⅴ)

Et l'ange qui parlait avec moi me dit: Crie, et dis: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Je suis ému d'une grande jalousie pour Jérusalem et pour Sion,
- So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ λαλω̃ν ἐν ἐμοί ἀνάκραγε λέγων τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐζήλωκα τὴν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ τὴν Σιων ζη̃λον μέγαν (Ⅲ) - Et dixit ad me angelus qui loquebatur in me : Clama, dicens : [Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum :/ Zelatus sum Jerusalem et Sion zelo magno,/ (Ⅳ) - 14 ׃1 ויאמר אלי המלאך הדבר בי קרא לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות קנאתי לירושלם ולציון קנאה גדולה (Ⅴ)

et je suis saisi d'une grande irritation contre les nations orgueilleuses; car je n'étais que peu irrité, mais elles ont contribué au mal.
- And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ὀργὴν μεγάλην ἐγὼ ὀργίζομαι ἐπὶ τὰ ἔθνη τὰ συνεπιτιθέμενα ἀνθ' ὡ̃ν ἐγὼ μὲν ὠργίσθην ὀλίγα αὐτοὶ δὲ συνεπέθεντο εἰς κακά (Ⅲ) - et ira magna ego irascor super gentes opulentas,/ quia ego iratus sum parum,/ ipsi vero adjuverunt in malum./ (Ⅳ) - 15 ׃1 וקצף גדול אני קצף על הגוים השאננים אשר אני קצפתי מעט והמה עזרו לרעה (Ⅴ)

C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel: Je reviens à Jérusalem avec compassion; ma maison y sera rebâtie, et le cordeau sera étendu sur Jérusalem.
- Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem. (Ⅱ) - διὰ του̃το τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπιστρέψω ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ ἐν οἰκτιρμω̨̃ καὶ ὁ οἰ̃κός μου ἀνοικοδομηθήσεται ἐν αὐτη̨̃ λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ μέτρον ἐκταθήσεται ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ ἔτι (Ⅲ) - Propterea hæc dicit Dominus :/ Revertar ad Jerusalem in misericordiis,/ et domus mea ædificabitur in ea, ait Dominus exercituum,/ et perpendiculum extendetur super Jerusalem.] (Ⅳ) - 16 ׃1 לכן כה אמר יהוה שבתי לירושלם ברחמים ביתי יבנה בה נאם יהוה צבאות *וקוה **וקו ינטה על ירושלם (Ⅴ)

Crie de nouveau, et dis: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Mes villes auront encore des biens en abondance; l'Éternel consolera encore Sion, il choisira encore Jérusalem.
- Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ λαλω̃ν ἐν ἐμοί ἀνάκραγε λέγων τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἔτι διαχυθήσονται πόλεις ἐν ἀγαθοι̃ς καὶ ἐλεήσει κύριος ἔτι τὴν Σιων καὶ αἱρετιει̃ ἔτι τὴν Ιερουσαλημ (Ⅲ) - Adhuc clama, dicens : [Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum :/ Adhuc affluent civitates meæ bonis,/ et consolabitur adhuc Dominus Sion, et eliget adhuc Jerusalem.]\ (Ⅳ) - 17 ׃1 עוד קרא לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות עוד תפוצינה ערי מטוב ונחם יהוה עוד את ציון ובחר עוד בירושלם ס (Ⅴ)

Je levai les yeux et je regardai, et voici, il y avait quatre cornes.
- Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἠ̃ρα τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου καὶ εἰ̃δον καὶ ἰδοὺ τέσσαρα κέρατα (Ⅲ) - Et levavi oculos meos, et vidi, et ecce quatuor cornua. (Ⅳ) - 1 ׃2 ואשא את עיני וארא והנה ארבע קרנות (Ⅴ)

Je dis à l'ange qui parlait avec moi: Qu'est-ce que ces cornes? Et il me dit: Ce sont les cornes qui ont dispersé Juda, Israël et Jérusalem.
- And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πα πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον τὸν λαλου̃ντα ἐν ἐμοί τί ἐστιν ταυ̃τα κύριε καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με ταυ̃τα τὰ κέρατα τὰ διασκορπίσαντα τὸν Ιουδαν καὶ τὸν Ισραηλ (Ⅲ) - Et dixi ad angelum qui loquebatur in me : Quid sunt hæc ? Et dixit ad me : Hæc sunt cornua quæ ventilaverunt Judam, et Israël, et Jerusalem. (Ⅳ) - 2 ׃2 ואמר אל המלאך הדבר בי מה אלה ויאמר אלי אלה הקרנות אשר זרו את יהודה את ישראל וירושלם[U] ס (Ⅴ)

L'Éternel me fit voir quatre forgerons.
- And the LORD shewed me four carpenters. (Ⅱ) - καὶ ἔδειξέν μοι κύριος τέσσαρας τέκτονας (Ⅲ) - Et ostendit mihi Dominus quatuor fabros. (Ⅳ) - 3 ׃2 ויראני יהוה ארבעה חרשים (Ⅴ)

Je dis: Que viennent-ils faire? Et il dit: Ce sont les cornes qui ont dispersé Juda, tellement que nul ne lève la tête; et ces forgerons sont venus pour les effrayer, et pour abattre les cornes des nations qui ont levé la corne contre le pays de Juda, afin d'en disperser les habitants.
- Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it. (Ⅱ) - καὶ εἰ̃πα τί οὑ̃τοι ἔρχονται ποιη̃σαι καὶ εἰ̃πεν πρός με ταυ̃τα τὰ κέρατα τὰ διασκορπίσαντα τὸν Ιουδαν καὶ τὸν Ισραηλ κατέαξαν καὶ οὐδεὶς αὐτω̃ν ἠ̃ρεν κεφαλήν καὶ εἰση̃λθον οὑ̃τοι του̃ ὀξυ̃ναι αὐτὰ εἰς χει̃ρας αὐτω̃ν τὰ τέσσαρα κέρατα τὰ ἔθνη τὰ ἐπαιρόμενα κέρας ἐπὶ τὴν γη̃ν κυρίου του̃ διασκορπίσαι αὐτήν (Ⅲ) - Et dixi : Quid isti veniunt facere ? Qui ait, dicens : Hæc sunt cornua quæ ventilaverunt Judam per singulos viros, et nemo eorum levavit caput suum : et venerunt isti deterrere ea, ut dejiciant cornua gentium, quæ levaverunt cornu super terram Juda ut dispergerent eam. (Ⅳ) - 4 ׃2 ואמר מה אלה באים לעשות ויאמר לאמר אלה הקרנות אשר זרו את יהודה כפי איש לא נשא ראשו ויבאו אלה להחריד אתם לידות את קרנות הגוים הנשאים קרן אל ארץ יהודה לזרותה ס (Ⅴ)
