Πολυμερῶς καὶ πολυτρόπως πάλαι ὁ θεὸς λαλήσας τοῖς πατράσιν ἐν τοῖς προφήταις
- Après avoir autrefois, à plusieurs reprises et de plusieurs manières, parlé à nos pères par les prophètes, (Ⅱ) - God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, (Ⅲ) - Multifariam, multisque modis olim Deus loquens patribus in prophetis : (Ⅳ)

ἐπ’ ἐσχάτου τῶν ἡμερῶν τούτων ἐλάλησεν ἡμῖν ἐν υἱῷ, ὃν ἔθηκεν κληρονόμον πάντων, δι’ οὗ καὶ ⸂ἐποίησεν τοὺς αἰῶνας⸃·
- Dieu, dans ces derniers temps, nous a parlé par le Fils, qu'il a établi héritier de toutes choses, par lequel il a aussi créé le monde, (Ⅱ) - Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; (Ⅲ) - novissime, diebus istis locutus est nobis in Filio, quem constituit hæredem universorum, per quem fecit et sæcula : (Ⅳ)

ὃς ὢν ἀπαύγασμα τῆς δόξης καὶ χαρακτὴρ τῆς ὑποστάσεως αὐτοῦ, φέρων τε τὰ πάντα τῷ ῥήματι τῆς δυνάμεως, ⸂δι’ αὑτοῦ⸃ καθαρισμὸν ⸂τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ποιησάμενος⸃ ἐκάθισεν ἐν δεξιᾷ τῆς μεγαλωσύνης ἐν ὑψηλοῖς,
- et qui, étant le reflet de sa gloire et l'empreinte de sa personne, et soutenant toutes choses par sa parole puissante, a fait la purification des péchés et s'est assis à la droite de la majesté divine dans les lieux très hauts, (Ⅱ) - Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: (Ⅲ) - qui cum sit splendor gloriæ, et figura substantiæ ejus, portansque omnia verbo virtutis suæ, purgationem peccatorum faciens, sedet ad dexteram majestatis in excelsis : (Ⅳ)

τοσούτῳ κρείττων γενόμενος τῶν ἀγγέλων ὅσῳ διαφορώτερον παρ’ αὐτοὺς κεκληρονόμηκεν ὄνομα.
- devenu d'autant supérieur aux anges qu'il a hérité d'un nom plus excellent que le leur. (Ⅱ) - Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. (Ⅲ) - tanto melior angelis effectus, quanto differentius præ illis nomen hæreditavit. (Ⅳ)

Τίνι γὰρ εἶπέν ποτε τῶν ἀγγέλων· Υἱός μου εἶ σύ, ἐγὼ σήμερον γεγέννηκά σε, καὶ πάλιν· Ἐγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτῷ εἰς πατέρα, καὶ αὐτὸς ἔσται μοι εἰς υἱόν;
- Car auquel des anges Dieu a-t-il jamais dit: Tu es mon Fils, Je t'ai engendré aujourd'hui? Et encore: Je serai pour lui un père, et il sera pour moi un fils? (Ⅱ) - For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? (Ⅲ) - Cui enim dixit aliquando angelorum : Filius meus es tu, ego hodie genui te ? Et rursum : Ego ero illi in patrem, et ipse erit mihi in filium ? (Ⅳ)

ὅταν δὲ πάλιν εἰσαγάγῃ τὸν πρωτότοκον εἰς τὴν οἰκουμένην, λέγει· Καὶ προσκυνησάτωσαν αὐτῷ πάντες ἄγγελοι θεοῦ.
- Et lorsqu'il introduit de nouveau dans le monde le premier-né, il dit: Que tous les anges de Dieu l'adorent! (Ⅱ) - And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. (Ⅲ) - Et cum iterum introducit primogenitum in orbem terræ, dicit : Et adorent eum omnes angeli Dei. (Ⅳ)

καὶ πρὸς μὲν τοὺς ἀγγέλους λέγει· Ὁ ποιῶν τοὺς ἀγγέλους αὐτοῦ πνεύματα, καὶ τοὺς λειτουργοὺς αὐτοῦ πυρὸς φλόγα·
- De plus, il dit des anges: Celui qui fait de ses anges des vents, Et de ses serviteurs une flamme de feu. (Ⅱ) - And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. (Ⅲ) - Et ad angelos quidem dicit : Qui facit angelos suos spiritus, et ministros suos flammam ignis. (Ⅳ)

πρὸς δὲ τὸν υἱόν· Ὁ θρόνος σου ὁ θεὸς εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος, ⸂καὶ ἡ ῥάβδος τῆς εὐθύτητος⸃ ῥάβδος τῆς βασιλείας ⸀σου.
- Mais il a dit au Fils: Ton trône, ô Dieu est éternel; Le sceptre de ton règne est un sceptre d'équité; (Ⅱ) - But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. (Ⅲ) - Ad Filium autem : Thronus tuus Deus in sæculum sæculi : virga æquitatis, virga regni tui. (Ⅳ)

ἠγάπησας δικαιοσύνην καὶ ἐμίσησας ἀνομίαν· διὰ τοῦτο ἔχρισέν σε ὁ θεός, ὁ θεός σου, ἔλαιον ἀγαλλιάσεως παρὰ τοὺς μετόχους σου·
- Tu as aimé la justice, et tu as haï l'iniquité; C'est pourquoi, ô Dieu, ton Dieu t'a oint D'une huile de joie au-dessus de tes égaux. (Ⅱ) - Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. (Ⅲ) - Dilexisti justitiam, et odisti iniquitatem : propterea unxit te Deus, Deus tuus, oleo exultationis præ participibus tuis. (Ⅳ)

καί· Σὺ κατ’ ἀρχάς, κύριε, τὴν γῆν ἐθεμελίωσας, καὶ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν σού εἰσιν οἱ οὐρανοί·
- Et encore: Toi, Seigneur, tu as au commencement fondé la terre, Et les cieux sont l'ouvrage de tes mains; (Ⅱ) - And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: (Ⅲ) - Et : Tu in principio, Domine, terram fundasti : et opera manuum tuarum sunt cæli. (Ⅳ)

αὐτοὶ ἀπολοῦνται, σὺ δὲ διαμένεις· καὶ πάντες ὡς ἱμάτιον παλαιωθήσονται,
- Ils périront, mais tu subsistes; Ils vieilliront tous comme un vêtement, (Ⅱ) - They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; (Ⅲ) - Ipsi peribunt, tu autem permanebis, et omnes ut vestimentum veterascent : (Ⅳ)

καὶ ὡσεὶ περιβόλαιον ἑλίξεις αὐτούς, ⸂ὡς ἱμάτιον⸃ καὶ ἀλλαγήσονται· σὺ δὲ ὁ αὐτὸς εἶ, καὶ τὰ ἔτη σου οὐκ ἐκλείψουσιν.
- Tu les rouleras comme un manteau et ils seront changés; Mais toi, tu restes le même, Et tes années ne finiront point. (Ⅱ) - And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. (Ⅲ) - et velut amictum mutabis eos, et mutabuntur : tu autem idem ipse es, et anni tui non deficient. (Ⅳ)

πρὸς τίνα δὲ τῶν ἀγγέλων εἴρηκέν ποτε· Κάθου ἐκ δεξιῶν μου ἕως ἂν θῶ τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου ὑποπόδιον τῶν ποδῶν σου;
- Et auquel des anges a-t-il jamais dit: Assieds-toi à ma droite, jusqu'à ce que je fasse de tes ennemis ton marchepied? (Ⅱ) - But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? (Ⅲ) - Ad quem autem angelorum dixit aliquando : Sede a dextris meis, quoadusque ponam inimicos tuos scabellum pedum tuorum ? (Ⅳ)

οὐχὶ πάντες εἰσὶν λειτουργικὰ πνεύματα εἰς διακονίαν ἀποστελλόμενα διὰ τοὺς μέλλοντας κληρονομεῖν σωτηρίαν;
- Ne sont-ils pas tous des esprits au service de Dieu, envoyés pour exercer un ministère en faveur de ceux qui doivent hériter du salut? (Ⅱ) - Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? (Ⅲ) - Nonne omnes sunt administratorii spiritus, in ministerium missi propter eos, qui hæreditatem capient salutis ? (Ⅳ)
